Water types are my favorite.
Most of them are blue, not to mention that alot of them have decent stats.
And I just like them, to the point where I'm biased to some of them (Most notably Empoleon).

I like water types but thats mainly because my first pokemon was a Blastoise and two of my favourite pokemon are Vaporeon and Swampert.
I mainly like the water types that can learn earthquake though because if I use a water starter I always teach it surf, ice beam, brick break and earthquake to take out most types easily and beat the game quickly.
Seriously, the only types that it can't score super effective hits on are types that generally have low defenses like bug and fighting types.
The only ones I have to watch out for are other water types with high HP and high defenses.

Grass and Ghost, without a doubt.
For me, it would be awesome if Nintendo made a polar opposite to Celebi, whereas Celebi protects the forest, this unknown Pokemon would haunt it, and those who dared trespassed into it.
(A dual type Grass/Ghost) :D
