I mean, let's face it, a lot of games were sold, a lot of people watched the anime and just about the whole population of the world can now tell you that a little yellow mouse can now be associated with something known as Pokemon.

A lot can pass in ten years, so what were your favourite things that did, that were Pokemon related?

I myself remember a time when my friend traded me a Celebi he got somehow, back in the Gold, Silver and Crystal days, and I cloned it about a hundred times that night before bringing it into school the next morning and ripping all my friends off their well trained Pokèmon for a duplicate of a Legendary.

Ah, the workings of a criminal mastermind.

Red: Getting the cheat Mew. x3
Blue: Just getting it from my dad before he...went somewhere...(he didn't die)
    Yellow: Evolving Charmeleon!!
Silver: Getting that big, fat Ho-oh. >.<
    Gold: Evolving Togepi.
Crystal: I finally caught that shiny Gyarados! And evolving my Eevee into Umbreon.
Ruby: Finding my first shiny, a Whismur.
Sapphire: I had the same file for three years and just recently started a new game...so Elliot(Espeon) winning every Smart Contest he enters. >:D
    Emerald: Defeating Pike Queen Lucy!!!
Diamond: Thrashing eleven year old dreams.
Pearl: Buying a new Pearl. xD

Best overall I would have to say when my cousin traded me his shiny Mightyena cause he thought the regular one looked cooler...and he didn't know that orange was shiny. xD

Being in France and meeting some French lads with my brother and then battling the little one with my level 100 Snorlax while he was squeeling "Ne pokémon level cent!!" or something. I still wonder what he wanted to say.

Just in case you weren't being sarcastic there, he said, "No Pokemon level one hundred!"

I can just remember random times while playing the games, but I'll have to think a little harder when it comes to good memories.

Well, I remember being in 2nd grade watching the 1st and 2nd grade boys trade Pokemon cards at recess, so I went home and asked my mom to go out and buy me my first pack of Pokemon cards, then coming in to school the next day, ready to trade during recess. I traded my Seel for a Machop and remember it being dead silent after we traded and hearing a little 1st grader saying 'That was such a bad trade.' Then I got the Machop taken away from me by the teacher cuz I kept looking at it in my desk. XD

Another time I remember playing Blue in our downstairs bathroom (why the bathroom, I don't know, because I wasn't using it) and was lost in the maze of Victory Road.

I was so excited to see the first Pokemon movie and remembering the theater being PACKED.

In Blue I named my Charmander Zippo.

...And that's all I can really think of right now. None of them are really my favorite, they're only times I remember, cuz I'm weird and can remember the most useless times in my life. XD

    Oh yeah.

The first time I had ever beaten the Pokemon League was on Sapphire...

And my cousin was right next to me when I beat them...so, right in her ear, I shrieked "Whoooooo!!!!!! I BEAT THE POKEMON LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then I performed massive Chuck Norris stunts and ran around outside(on race day, mind) and told everyone. They were all drunk, so they didn't care.

Ah, great topic, Oni. I posted a thread along these lines some time ago. :D

One of my strongest memories was way back when I had a difficult time with Jasmine and Bugsy in Johto. Another was when I faced Gary various times in Pokémon Blue. Johto probably sits some of my strongest memories with Togepi & Umbreon. Good times trying to evolve Eevee for such a long time. XD Another was route 120, R/S/E, my secret base. I always enjoyed running by that base by the lake. XD

    I'll have more later~

    Diamond:Beating E4
Anime:Seeing Ho-Oh in the first episode, seeing Ash and Misty kiss, seeing Ash and Latias kiss(character from Pokemon Heroes)

I remember both of those things. The Pokemon movie kicked ass! Everyone went to see that and if you didn't you were autimatic laughing stock of 1st Grade!

I also ripped off kids on Pokemon trades. The cards were probably my fondest memory. How cool they were, and never knowing what was in the packs. I had holographic Japanese Moltres and Ninetales and I never went anywhere without them.

    BTW, Base Set Charizard FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, the entire Gold/Silver/Crystal experience was cool. Those were the perfect Pokemon games. Perfection. And whoever said something about Togepi and Umbreon I can relate to.

In Gold, I kept trying to evolve my Eevee into an Umbreon but I couldn't and then one day it evolved into Espeon. I was terrified at first but Espeon was stillreally cool and I still remember it today. I also made sure I evolved my Togepi and let me tell you Togetic was a beast.

Well, since everyone's talking about the cards...

Base Set Charizard is totally for the win. I was such a manipulative little monster! And I still am! ;D I just recently gave my sister eleven cards that I drew on to make them funny for her Empoleon lv.X. That's right. She actually thought it was good. And she'd eleven.

I traded two energy card and regular items(yes, household items) for Anchient Mew. And now i have two...but who cares?

And I traded something 'cute' to my friend for her German Salamence(or should I say, Brutalanda) ex. -dance-

I could go on, but the reason I'm so horrible is that my first two trades were rip-offs. My cousin ripped me off...his Japanese Brock's Vulpix for my holo Raichu...that I had just gotten that night(New Year's Eve).

Alright, then, I may as well move onto cards too. My best memory was when I found a deck of Pokemon cards in my old primary school, in the Lost Property section. I found out they'd been there for about three weeks, and I decided, "Fine, if no one else will take them, I will." So I explained to the secretary that I lost my Pokemon cards about three weeks ago and she asked me if I wanted to check that deck in case it was mine. I looked through it, so a few holographics consisting of Dark Espeon, Dark Charizard, Dark Blastoise, Sabrina's Gengar, Dark Dragonite and Dark Tyranitar. I nodded and said they were mine. Do I feel guilty? Not really. At least I made use of the cards, otherwise, they'd have been in the Lost Property box for a very long time.

Ah, another brilliant memory I can recall occurred just a few months ago, my friend was in my house and he was one of my two friends that knows I still like Pokemon. He likes it too but not as much as me. Anyways, he noticed there was a deck of Pokemon cards (yes, the same deck from my first paragraphy, just about five years later) on my desk and he started looking through them. I asked him if he wanted to play against me with them and he said yes. I had recently learned the official rules of the Trading Card Game and I taught them to my friend, who we'll just call David. David and I played for three hours straight, with him claiming my six prize cards on two seperate occasions, and me vice versa on three.

I'll post more when I'm not too lazy to dig up a few memories.

    Nice job, Oni. x]

I have another one with cards. Right after the second generation came out, it was my friend's birthday. We got her two packs of cards(Neo Destiny, I believe). So, she opens her cards later and she gets...well, not very good, but to me, having not seen most of those Pokemon before, I was intrigued. She had a Xatu and a Natu...I wanted them. So, when we were in her room playing with something eles...I took the liberty to just...take them.

Unlike Oni, I felt horrible...though, she never found out. She wasn't too into Pokemon anyway.

Well I always like the pokemon cards and I still collect them sometimes. I remember my first day getting one!!! Another good memory was my first real shiny in gold was my hoothoot then a meowth!! ^_^
I also remember when I was a little me and my friend would play our stuff animals and made the pokemon talk and it was fun, so pokemon made my life fun! lol :]

My best memories with Pokemon have to be playing with the toys with my friend when we were little kids. Also playing the games with him too, I was playing Ruby, and he played Sapphire. I remember trading Pokemon with him to complete our Pokedexes, which, we never did complete them, but yeah. It was awesome. We always played alllllll effin day.

Ah, I miss him, he was my only friend for a few years.

Right now my memory isn't done yet. So far, I've been having unbelievable luck with finding rare Pokemon on my first try on my Emerald version(Even though I do have all of the Pokemon games, this has never happened to me before). Plus, Finishin and getting the Pokemon Diploma by completing my Pokedex.

Best memories was playing through Silver. It was the first Pokemon game I played (I didn't have R/B/Y) and I the first time I got to the elite four, I beat it. It was so much fun... man I miss those G/S days!

Ah, just how did I forget this memory?

It was the day before Firered and Leafgreen were released, and about four of my friends were coming over after school. We were ten years old, I think. I certainly was, anyways, and I was feeling a bit crazy, so at the risk of completely destroying my reputation, I asked them if they'd bring their gameboys with them and their Gold, Silver or Crystal versions. What followed was epic. None of us knew about EV training, or IV breeding, but that didn't stop us having a tournament that lasted six hours. And the strategies we used were pretty good for ten year olds. I mean, it was two a side, and I had a Dragonite while my friend had a Pidgeot. The opposition had a Pikachu (yes, even my friends were Pikachu crazy) and a Typhlosion, so I got my Dragonite to use Earthquake, it doesn't effect Pidgeot, for that Pokemon was Flying-Type, knocks all the Health Points off of the Pikachu because it's Super Effective and the same happened to Typhlosion.

Oh, and then, three hundred and sixty minutes after we started, I won the tournament. We never talked about that day.

Oh gosh, this'll make start to cry. XD There are so many incredible things in my lifetime that have been involved with Pokemon. Trying to catch the Ho-oh, but never having enough skill to get it. Reading the guide books on what to do next in the midst of the game. Getting up at 6:30 in the morning to watch the Kanto regions before I went to school. Or maybe getting your day made by getting your starter to evolve to the last of its evolution. There are so many others, but I don't have time to type them, so I'll just leave it at that.

Definitely collecting every single pokemon card of the original 150 pokemon except for Articuno (which is actually why I ended up liking the cute little bird so much). That's my best memory by a mile...trading cards with friends boasting my Japanese holographic Charizard...good times.

well my strongest memory is still owing my blastiose every since i was in 2nd grade and yet it still is here
