your favovalrite rival?

id say the 2nd gen dude. i was always entertained as a kid when i got kicked out when u talked to him at the beginning of the game. XD
though i do like the others too.
 
Silver/Gold from G/S/Y/HG/SS, because he hates you, he hates Team Rocket, and most of all, he hates weak Pokemon! During the corse of the game, he slowly devlopes in character, but he keeps his personality. This is the last time any rival will be that awesome.
 
Anyone who doesn't vote for Silver has either never played G/S/C/HG/SS or is too intimidated by his awesomeness to fully comprehend it. XD
 
I actually like the rival from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, because he's not a jerk. He is just another trainer like you who received a pokemon legitimately and seems to be one step ahead of you. He was a likeable guy. Silver is pretty cool too, but I like Gen IV's rival better.
 
I like the rivals that I had named the best, so I can't really decide which rival I enjoyed the most.

Silver from Johto. He hated EVERYONE and only did what he did for his profit and his alone. But eventually, all of the influences around him, such as Li, Lance, and the player, eventually reach his heart, and he eventually starts developing into a nicer person, but still retains that harsh and demanding spirit, and that is what truly makes a good opposite to the heroic stereotype that the player finds himself playing every game.

This. I don't think I could have worded it better myself.
 
It's a tie between Silver and Barry. I think Barry wins by a hair because I named him "HurDur" and whenever his name comes up I laugh to myself. For personality and general character development, though, Silver definitely wins.
 
No doubts, my favorite rival is Green/Blue!

His Pokémon are awesome and he becomes the Pokémon League Champion!

Silver is second due to his temper... =D
 
Probably Silver from G/S/C HG/SS dunno why though...
More appealing than the others I guess...
