With one bulk up on him, that guy is a freaking monster.

I didn't like him at first because the concept of a clown (he looks like a clown to me) carrying a pair of concrete pillars as walking sticks scared me at first. But I learned to like him in a way because he learns Stone Edge via level up to take down Fliers.

Anyways, to keep it on topic. I prefer Gothilselle over Gardevoir because its all around a better Pokemon. Not saying Gardevoir is absolutely terrible. Because a few years back Gardevoir was cool to me. But now since Gothilselle has been introduced, Gardevoir is nothing now. And is pretty much invisible.

Another pokemon who stole Gardevoir's crown is Meloetta. This Pokemon looks amazing. My favorite of this Generation. And its seems like it can get LOUD with its new move ancient song and put those irrelevant opponents to sleep. For good.

You think so? Because its cry sounds awesome. And not to mention in years to come we will hear that beautiful voice in its own movie. It will get LOUD with its red hair (Step Forme) and rank in all of those experience points. Say what you want about Gothilselle, I'm more of a fan of Meloetta. The melody Pokemon. Singing out LOUD. And it is original. And a legend.

With Mamanbou, I don't really care about its stats. It has Boiling Water and Ice Beam (I think that's what you implied), having those moves is strong enough for me and... yeah basically I just only care about moves. XD;; In general though (like you mentioned high HP), does this mean that Mamanbou is the new Blissey? ...despite what people say about Tabuune taking that role.

lol, don't use Boiling Water and Ice Beam on Mamanbou. Plz 2 not be like ppl in Smogon, kthnx. Unless you wanna spend 20 turns trying to take something down with Mamanbou, of course... See, her spA is pathetic (base 40), so you're better off running Toxic + Dive or Toxic + Aqua Jet (or Waterfall; that works too) since it has 75 Att which is decent (Blissey has 75 SpA, which is why it can Ice Beam somewhat effectively, especially with CM), particularly if you use it when Rain Dance is in effect. Anyways, yeah, it's more like the new Blissey than Tabunne is; while both Mamanbou and Tabunne have Regeneration and can Wishpass and set up Light Screen, Mamanbou has 60 more base HP and therefore better Defense, and both their spD is more or less the same when HP is taken into account.

Moreover, Tabunne is actually more like a Blissey-wannabe than an actual mini-Blissey (which Mamanbou is), because it cannot really attack, whereas Mamanbou can at least use its 75 Att to put a small dent on something that is weak to Water, not to mention she's got actual resistances (four, in fact) unlike Tabunne. Plus Mamanbou can have fun in the rain thanks to Hydration (unlike Tabunne, which hasn't got Natural Cure or anything like it), and Rest off damage right away (and rain has the additional bonus of upping her resistance to Fire while powering her Water move). Mamanbou also gets Mirror Coat which is always fun. So all in all, Mamanbou is better as far as I'm concerned; although Tabunne isn't a terrible choice, if I'm gonna have a mini-Blissey in my team, I'll take either Miltank or Mamanbou (or even Clefable, which can actually do stuff) before I take Tabunne. To me, Tabunne is like a combination of Chansey and Wigglytuff (except with a lot less HP) and not a very good one, in my opinion.

Anyways, I am enjoying both of our male divahs (wink wink @ Haza & Umbrella) bickering, but I happen to like both Beeysus and Rihanna, but as far as Gardevoir vs. Gothilselle go, the latter is outclassed by the former, and it's not difficult to see why, really.

To begin with, Gardevoir has Trace. Nothing else besides Porygon2 gets it, and that ability is far superior to Frisk (or Shadow Tag, but Shadow Tag anything will probably be banned from standard competitive play), although Frisk isn't useless, and Gardevoir has better spA, slightly better spD and definitely better Speed. Gothilselle's movepool is a copy of Gardevoir's, minus Wish, Will-o'-Wisp and Hypnosis, which is not a good thing, because Gothilselle's superior Defense (95 vs Gard's 65) would have made it a better user of Will-o'-Wisp than Gardevoir...

Anyways, Gothilselle isn't a bad pogey, but between its creepiness and lack of WoW or a recovery move, it will always be outclassed by her version exclusive opposite (Ranculus) and Gardevoir, because their 125 SpA (vs Goth's inferior 95) will always mean they can function as sweepers and supporters while Goth is stuck either supporting or setting up CM so it can attempt to sweep, and they both have better abilities (Magic Guard/Regeneration & Trace vs Frisk) as well as access to a recovery move in the form of Recover and Wish, respectively.

Honestly, I really dislike Gothilselle, but I feel bad for her being screwed over her fellow Psychics. Even Alakazam has Magic Guard! Meanwhile she's stuck with Frisk, and the uber ability Shadow Tag via DW which is almost guaranteed to be banned from competitive play (the whole point of Pokemon battling is to be able to switch; Dugtrio may have Arena Trap but he hasn't got Wobbuffet's, Gothilselle's or Chandelar's stats). At least she's not useless, but given her design (an acquired taste if I ever saw one), I'm willing to bet money that Psychic-type lovers will always choose Alakazam, Gardevoir or Ranculus over Gothilselle any time, any day, any place. :>

Oh, and while we're on the topic of Psychic types... how can anyone deny Ranculus is the best Psychic type of all time?

You can also have Regeneration Ranculus, which is affected by status, but between Recover and Regeneration, it will still laugh at entry hazards and weather damage.

Essentially, Ranculus is a little green cell pimp. >:3 It's always happy because it knows you can't do **** to it with his 110 HP / 125 spA and MagicGuard/Regeneration, but he can most definitely do **** to YOU, and PsychoShock means he can take down Blissey, bulky Waters and the like, since most special walls don't have a great Defense, which is what PsychoShock targets. XD

And his horrible speed isn't an issue simply because it can just Thunder Wave yo' ass if it wants to go first, lol.

Just to put my two cents in the Gothwannabe and Gardevoir debate:

Obviously, Gothwannabe is suppose to be the "Gardevoir" of Gen V, something I find rather ridiculous since you can't replicate Gardevoir, or its pre-evolutions', grace, mystery and sheer awesomeness. Let's look at the facts:

Gothwannabe's BS total: 490, Sp.Atk being 90, Sp.Def being 110
Gardevoir's BS total: 518, Sp.Atk being 125, Sp.Def being 115

Clearly, if you're looking for a Psychic-Type that can take a Special hit and dish out some damage, Gardevoir is your girl. And, her base stat total is higher than Gothwannabe's (Both are 2nd Stage). So, if you're looking for a Psychic-type for competitive play, obviously Gardevoir is better.

Now, appearance. Well, this is simple:


Lovely. As a basic, Ralts fits the bill. Seemingly harmless until it evolves into Kirlia, a very graceful, dancer-like (OMG Meloetta just got owned too, hahahahah) 1st stage. Then, at Lv.30, Kirlia matures into the lovely Gardevoir, who is 100 times more appealing to the eye than Gothwannabe.

Now...


Umm, as a basic, Gothwannabe looks like a Smoochum knock-off, who doesn't even do a good job because Smoochum is way cuter. Then, it evolves into a Kirlia wannabe. Hun, you're no dancer, and the excessive bows look horrid, not cute. Then, when she evolves, she becomes the full-grown Gothwannabe. What is with that layered dress and those palm-fronds you call hair? Not an appealing Pokemon at all.

In the end, Gardevoir is better in every way. Gothwannabe is weaker and appearance doesn't come close to making up for it. Yepp, you can box this one kiddies.

Actually Basarou, both of them, are based on Beta Fish. Betas, in reality, fight to the death whenever another enters its territory. Pretty cool concept, but I'd have liked to have seen a unique ability that doubles Basarou's Atk when facing a Basarou of the opposite color. This would make it a pure Speed match.

Ralts is a hideous little thing. Looks like a little boy compared to what its destined to become. And those horns, thank God for those horns. Its distracts us from this half baked design.

Gochimu stole Smoochums design and actually made it look appealing. It out classes Ralts, and all of Ralts evolutions. I don't even need to compare its evolutions to Ralts evolution line because its no contest. From the eyes, to the dress, to lips, to the hair, to the bows. This Pokemon took the hugest dump on Ralts whole evolutionary line. And on whack Gallade too.


And this is only Gochimu. Imagine my comparisons for Gochimiru and Gothilselle! Its no contest. Of course, Gardevoir fans get defensive when something better is introduced. Too bad its a Pokemon, now and forever. And its stole its role.

I like that one too. But the designs confuses me. I see its has a dress, and a hat. Everything else throws me off. I don't know who I like better out of her and Roserade.

My fave of this Gen is Meloetta. I can't go into detail because I'll go on forever lol. I also like the Vulture and that big muscle clown thing.

From what I can tell, the two leaves are her hands, and the darker leaves by her lower area are accessories. Her backsprite is mostly shrouded by a large leaf which I assume is her "Hair".
