at first, i thought meraruba (bug/fire) had an arm but it was actually a cacoon >.>

Some more cuties that I love.

Honestly I'm not a big fan of bug Pokemon except a few, but Denchura's pre-evolution totally capture my heart. Denchura itself is great too.

For some reasons these 3 just pisses me off just by looking at them. Especially the first stage evolution, the way it shakes it head in the animation totally screams "come on and hit me"...

After all I am happy about the Isshu Pokemon - generally I think it is better than G4 Pokemon.

[Pumpkin Fields]

I always loved the vast majority of Gen 5's designs. There were only a few I couldn't warm up to and even so, they were far fewer than any other generation.
Here are some Pokemon that I liked since I first saw them but have come to love since then.

I completely overlooked these two. I thought the first stage was cute and the second stage was cool but they didn't stand out to me. The more I look at them, the more I realize they are by far my favorite ice types.

These guys have a similar story to the polar bears. I thought they were cool but I didn't give them much thought. It wasn't until I read their pokedex entry that I realized what amazing Pokemon they really are. They definitely have secured themselves a spot on my team.

I hated this guy at first. I can't stand humanoid Pokemon to begin with but I found this one particularly ugly. I'm not sure why, maybe from watching BW, videos but he has definitely gained my affection.

This one was a bit shocking to me. I haven't liked a regional bird since the Pidgey line. I saw this line's first stage when it was leaked and thought it was cool but didn't think I would be catching one. Since watching BW videos, I have fallen head over heels for this line. I don't know what it is but they have grown to be my favorite bird Pokemon yet.

When I first saw this line all I could think was 'meh.' The first stage gets credit for suckering me in. I think it's absolutely adorable and has really grown on me. I've considered doing a solo run with this line once I complete my initial run through.

This little guy gets cuter the longer you look at him.

I'm actually very fond of a lot of the new Pokemon. Like pretty much every generation before it, this one brings a lot of cool designs as well as some bad ones.

Some of my favourites are:


HENSHIN! Kamen Ridermon, TOH!
Whether it's supposed to be based on a Kamen Rider or not... I'll still keep pretending that it is :x Though I really do like how it looks like it's ready to beat down some fools.




Very cool typing, nice design as well and it's pre-evo is SO FLUFFY <3





I really liked this guy's design way back from when his back sprite was first revealed. I mean, woogly ghost arms on a sarcophagus? Count me in!
Also, RETURN THE SLAB, etc.





I really like both fossil Pokemon this generation, but the pure fact that this guy's an archaeopteryx makes it that extra bit awesome.



I also like Rankurusu, Doryuuzu and Futachimaru... and that one Pokemon that looks like it's wearing pants. I really didn't like that one's design at the start, but then it really grew on me and seeing its battle animation just made me fall in love with it.

Um....let's see...

The Desert Crocs reeled me into white, Meguroko gets the honors for this one. Ground/Dark Crocodile? SWEET! I'm even training him as we speak.

Meraruba and Urugamosu are just flipping sweet. Awesome stats, THEIR OWN EVENTS, looks like Mothra, in otherwords my kinda Pokemon.

Let's face it. Kibago's cute, Ononokusu is the shiz, I mean seriously, any guy like me loves them automatically.

This was a surprise for me. Originally I like Tsutaaja, but Mijumaru's badassness was too much for me. Samurai. Otters. WIN

Aaken and Aakeosu remind me of Aerodactyl, but better.

Ingenious concept. Electric Zebras, and Shimama looks cute but Zeburaika is so badass.

I immediately fell in love with this one after I saw it and it will soon be part of my team.

This one looks really cool. It resembles a fakemon I saw like 1 month ago.

This is the best bug type Pokémon ever in the whole generations.

Other than those, some of them looked very weird and I did not like them at all.

These are growing on me, I didn't like them before, but after the so-called "Shock value" wears off, they're actually pretty nice.

Originally was impartial on this one. But i like the design.

Wasn't a huge fan of this to start off either.

This is <3 now.

Don't know how the first one can grow on you...

Something just feels wrong about it. Maybe something to do with the head? Either way, certainly not a favourite.
