Your Starter..... Well, Don't Wait to See Where I'm Going With This, Open the Thread

All of my starters are always with me in a game untill i get it to a certain level and then i get new pokemon to the level but then i get my starter right back and about 95% of the time my starter is with me
 
It depends on the starter for me. For the last couple of games I got rid of them, mostly because they sucked. But my Typhlosion and Charizard stayed by my side always.
 
I keep my starter he's my 2nd favorite pokemon
the first 1 is swampert cuz he was my first pokemon
I keep them both in my team
 
I usually keep my starter until I get my ideal team (because it hardly ever involves any of the starters).

Starters are fun because they get decent stats for the game's sake, but in competitive talk, most Pokémon do what the starters do better than they can.

I usually kept them with me, but then after getting Wifi and realising my Empoleon sucked, I put it in the box for posterity X)
 
i usualy keep my sarter simple because i like them.

BTW was your starter a shiny to get that lugia world king's lugia?
 
I always keep my starter with me,
and my infernape has never left my on hand pokemon, and its Lv.93!
 
I have also kept my starters with me. Most of the starters are good Pokemon to use.
 
I say it helped you with your journey. Why keep it away after all that. I mean its kinda like your connection to the game. Without it i wouldnt be able to play the game. I know you could kinda call it a disease.
 
When I started Pearl, that stupid turtle Turtwig went in the box almost instantly. I hate all of the starters in the Fourth Gen. x-x

I consider my Absol my starter, because I friend gave me a level 1 as soon as I started the game. <3

i hated all the starters too so i just chose piplup because i needed someone for surf. after i was able to migrate my empoleon was sentenced to the PC
 
After the elite four, my starter is only good for pumping out the Pokemon babies.
 
I ALWAYS keep my starter. ALWAYS. In Red I got so attached to my Blastoise that he became the only Pokemon I ever trained and used.
 
I usually keep my starters until the elite four, then its off to either the daycare, or PC.
In R/B/G, i kept my starter even after the elite four, but found no reason to keep playing.
In Yellow, i had to keep my pikachu, or else he wouldn't love me.
In G/S/C, i just put my meganium in the box before fighting ash, and that was the only time i deposited him.
in R/S/E, i kept my sceptile forever(that is, until i started a new game).
And in D/P/P, i never left my torterra, got him four hearts, and trained him more than any other starter i got, all the way up to level 93.
Long story short, i keep almost all of my starters in my party.
These kinds of threads make you wonder why people in the anime preach about being nice to pokemon, but catch them against their will and use them for battle and sport.
