yup. im gonna get flamed for this O_e

wow, I like the fact that you use Shuckle on your team, what moves does it have Wobbuffet?

:t354:TG

While it may be a slightly odd team, the likes of Wobbuffet and Slowbro peek my curiosity, I have to admit, I'm unfamilar with the others as of now, since I haven't really "played played" any Pokemon games since Gold and Silver.

I'd have to agree with you when it comes to seemingly over-strategic teams if they take some of the fun out of playing. Purchasing Nintendo DSi + Platinum tomorrow and looking forward to building a team of my own.

I have a question, did you use this team for in game or competitive battling?

Holy cow, Exeggutor and Shuckle- for that alone you have my respect.

I'm not one for the competitive battling either, but I feel that if people want to do it, that's their choice. I've never had the time for all that specific breeding and training.

It's good to see people who still use Pokemon they like over ones that are simply high tiered. Although I do care about the tiers, many of the Pokemon I use are Underused ones and are Pokemon that I have selected simply because I like their physical appearance and playstyles.

You can't really blame anyone for using the tiers because it is quite simply fact that some Pokemon are obviously far stronger than others.

You have my respect wobbuffet

Now, on account of tiers and EV training, some people are really competitive, and always want to do their best to win, if this means bypassing 10 shinies while soft resetting for a pokemon for good IV's, or breeding for days on end for the best movesets and IV's and EVing for a couple of hours, so be it, they simply want to win, although i have to admit some people get way to drawn into and go way too far, im not one of those people, anyways, it is a game and you should play it the way you want too :)

i only EV train and such underused poke's

over used, i usually raise to like level 53, and kick em out the door. (in this case, release them)

I agree =D using favorite pokemon instead of "I will use pokemon that are only worth it!!!"
I don't EV train either, just kill w/e for EXP xD

What's the point in even training the overused then? If you just release them, why bother?

and that's perfectly fine, but I'm just saying the great things about these games is you're not forced into one type of play, you can do favorites, competitive, or come up with a completely different kind of atmosphere with your own regulations. That's the beautiful thing about Pocket Monsters if you ask me, the ability to be flexible. d('-'d)
Yeah, that's pretty much my point of view there. I, for one, do train EVs, natures, and IVs, but I have never even seen a tier list besides the über tier. I use Pokémon I like as well. Wobbuffet, your opinions are fine.

However... pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease do not accuse other people of being jerks. Just because we like to strategize and breed and stuff does not mean we're going to flame you. It really kind of hurts me that you just assume that we're so bigoted or even that we mind your battling style. It's actually quite judgmental. -.-

I respect you for this Wobbuffet, using an underdog team is something I always love to do. My team that I use, I know I could make really strong if pokemon were real and could be a strong party. With your party, with the bond you'd have with them and training after a while, of course their levels will be high and they could shock people. It is hard to in the games though on wifi/ competitive battling which is why you have earned my respect. I use a party of underdogs also, which I know I had in real life, I would be able to surprise people after I get them stronger

Weezing
Flareon
Pidgeot
Starmie
Butterfree
Chikorita/Victreebel

Now, there are some strong points, but it's not what you'd consdier a "powerfull" team. But those are my favorites and I'd choose them any day no matter what.

D= as i said in bif letters in my posts, i dont think anybody here is stupid if they like the way they battle

*shrugs* Iv'e used the same battling team since Silver and Gold Version came out, My team is kinda over used but they are my favorites and they work well together

The only reason why i dont EV train is because im very lazy

If people want to battle competitively, then let them
If people want to battle with their favorites , then let them
Both are fun to different people, so relax aye

What ever happened to each to their own? Peace Love and Unity? and all that crap

I... just use whatever sounds good at the moment. xD I'm not into EV training, competitive battling, etc. because, quite honestly, I'm too lazy. ಠ____ಠ
BUT.
The games themselves have taken a more complex route, so it gives way to choosing how you train. I like this route the games have taken.

Uh, but I admire both you for using an "underdog' team and the people that use strategy and competitive battle. As long as you're happy with your own team, I find that admirable itself.

I enjoy that Pokemon can be a technical game with all of the stats and categories that are slowly coming out but...what I like about Pokemon is that...I can catch and train and attach myself to any of them and use them as my partner. I don't like thinking that I need a certain type of Pokemon to be able to compete in certain matches. That's not what Pokemon and battling is for me. Pokebattling is just taking your favorite most cherished Pokemon and training them to the best of your ability: ev/ivs and stats be damned.
