Starly or Shinx on Diamond (BORING!) Platinum however, I traded my starter for a newly hatched Growlithe called Faith, she's one of the most awesome team members I've ever had :D Also, been doing a Flying monotype for practice lately, traded the starter for a Murkrow, he's pretty sweet

If you're in the same group as someone it syncs your great marsh daily pokes, feebass location and lottery, maybe other random daily events too

Personally, I loved it :D Definately worth the import purely due to the polished feel it has with the graphics, dialogue and storyline. I must add though I found it slightly harder to train a full team, now I'm at the elite four with a bunch of level 45-50s >.<

I generally prefer to use normal pokemon since often you have to train them from a lower level, which makes it feel more of an achievement when you actually fight with them

Its a terrible pokemon, I'd never use it TPBMHN been kiproll'd
