    I agree with Leyt, and since you haven't played a Generation IV game yet, Platinum will serve as a good introduction until HG and SS come out. Plus you can then trade your favorite pokemon to the new game.

    I would like to get legit pokemon as well, I just got a lv. 99 Ursaring that was caught at lv. 99. Sure it is still a pokemon, but I would rather get one that was caught and raised with passion.

    Have you ever lost an in-game battle.

    The only time I have ever lost was in FireRed when the rival fights you in the ghost tower. I wasn't expecting it and most of my pokemon had little or no HP left.

    @Keyaki If the two pokemon that you are breeding are from different languages, then the chances of getting a shiny pokemon are four times higher than normal. So 1 in 2048 instead of 1 in 8192. Still very unlikely, but I got a shiny on my 40th egg. @wolFLARE Thanks for the extra info!
