Call of Duty: Black Ops

After my first prestige I'm kind of just losing the fun value in this game. Not sure why -.-

I got Black Ops a while ago and I'm new to CoD, but I got a few stuff. Any tips for a n00b?

I'm refraining from using Second Chance, RCXD, and now Ghost Pro. They're all horribly annoying and I don't want to lower myself to those standards.

Black orps rocks! Ive bought Cod 4 and 6, and ive been playing them both for a long time.

Just spent the last two and half hours playing two-man zombies, only to get to round 31 and have the connections dropped. It didn't even count on the leaderboards. Total waste of time.

That sucks man a friend and I got to level 36 out of nowhere earlier this week. We had a similar situation where (we were playing three player) and our third player timed out. But, really, that sucks, they should really just find a solution for that, host migration on Zombies anyone? I've had games where we're doing well and the, unbeknown to us, host has to go and ends the game only for all of us to have to quit. Zombies is probably one of my favourite Black Ops features and I hope Ascension does nothing but fuel my excitement for it.

All changes I've made are in Italics. Everything crossed out is what you don't need. Sad to say it, but the only really good Submachine Gun worth using is the 74u, in my opinion. Your perks look good, and SoH Pro and Scout Pro are very helpful, too. Finally, I also added what you should unlock as you progress or what you haven't unlocked. Most people would agree with me except for the WA2000. I enjoy using it a lot, and it is probably the second best sniper in the game.

Yikes, I hate the WA2000 in this game. There's just something about it. I don't like the feel of it, at least compared to the MW2 equivalent. Either way, I'd much rather use the L96 or Dragunov over it any day.

I think the complete opposite. I'm getting more one shots with it than I did in MW2, and the recoil isn't nearly as bad. Every other shot with the Dragunov has a huge kick and I never get a one shot anybody with it. I'm starting to like the PSG1 more and more, but not as much as the WA2000.

Also, I got a beautiful, mid-map bank-shot tomahawk today. I got it and wanted my friends to watch it, but they didn't think it was very good, so they told me to back out and watch it before I decided if it was good enough to show them. What I didn't know is that the video wouldn't save, so I had to watch it with six people at once, and it was very laggy. So, this is how it appear to go: It bounced off the Window sill of the building by the S&D A Bomb on Cracked (not the "cracked" building, the one with the car next to it), bounced up off the ground, spun around the victim's head (I'm assuming in a glitched position), and he backed into it, giving me the kill. Once again, it was very laggy so I don't know if that's how it went, but my friend is making a clip of it and showing it to me later. I've seen Tomahawks do this before, but it was still so exciting because I got the kill about six seconds after I threw the tomahawk, and it was only a mid-map throw.

Really? I thought it was just people who sucked at the game! XDD​

People will throw them at the start, but I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about taking over a building or part of map and you'll have 4 or 5 people all at once throw every flash/stun they got and throw grenades. These are Halo players because in Halo you pick up grenades and throwing them is a good quick way to kill them.

If you're just starting then you need learn the map, what side is better (or works for you better). And you need to learn to move with your team. You also might want to keep distance between you and the enemy (that is if you haven't played any other shooters). The reason being is because if you're new CoD or shooters and you have a sort of a normal or slow reaction time then you might lose many gun fights and in the end only hurt you and your team.
Also run with what killstreaks you're able to get. If you can only get 3 or 4 kills before dying then you need to run low end killstreaks. Don't be like some people who run something like 7, 8, 9 and can never ever get that 7 killstreak. Many people think a Spy Plane is below them, they're too good to run with that. Well if your team always has a Spy Plane up and knows where the enemy team is at then chances are you're going to win (unless they all have Ghost). I run Spy Plane with Hardline and so I can get a Spy Plane in 2 kills, and if I can get that in the first 15-30 seconds then that'll help my team get theirs quicker.
These might be common sense things, but many people lack common sense when it comes to this game.

The 74u is the most overused weapon in the game. It's not the only good SMG out there, the MPL with a Suppressor is really good (I use this to work on getting Ninja Pro), the PM63 is also another good weapon, and the Spectre with Rapid Fire + Scavenger is (IMO) the best SMG, it will out do an AK74u.

I screwed up with the Italics. I can't fix it. Despite me using the 74u more than any other weapon, I do use a few other submachine guns. I use the Uzi and MPL to an extent (love it with the silencer). I use the Spectre with a Silencer, but I can't use the PM63. It justs runs out of ammo so fast (I don't user Scavenger). I still stand by what I say in that the 74u is the best submachine gun, but that's not the only gun I use.

The spectre has like zero recoil to begin with, so I can't imagine that rapid fire would make it uncontrollable.

I have probably gotten around a 3 K/D today using this, and I have won almost every game I played (mostly Domination). Not a bad way to get back into the game :D I also finally got to level 38, but I'm too lazy to buy the AK-47 AND some attachment for it. I'm wrecking with the Galil right now. I got 2 attack dogs in one game on Summit, and that's a first for me. proudface.png

Got so fed up with this game today that I actually put in MW2. I got a Gunship and it actually made it spawn under the map or something, and it started glitching out until it finally just exploded. I didn't even get to use it. 11 killstreak wasted.
