If hidden forums were revealed that you can't normally access, would you read them or would you rather if you didn't know what you're not meant to know?

Here's an example. If you were still a member, and the VIP forum was revealed to you, would you actually read it, even though you know you're not meant to? Or would you just avoid it? (If you're not a supporter and only a staff member, same applies to before you reached whatever rank you're at now).

If all forums were revealed to me, I wouldn't read them - it wouldn't feel right, I'd rather actually know that I'm allowed to view what I can view (yeah that doesn't make sense to me, buuuut yeah).

    Anyway, your thoughts?

Well I suppose since I am really curious I might take a look. But if I think about it, I don't find a need to honestly. It's just going to be stuff, that doesn't concern me and why would I want to snoop around in that? I'd rather keep it fair and find out when everyone else does. It'd be taking advantage of the error or whatever that had caused the hidden forums to be revealed.

It's like if my parents leave me at home by myself. I know where the key to their wardrobe is, nothing is stopping me from snooping inside. But I choose not to because it wrong and it's betraying them and the trust they have in me.

In the past, I might have. But after seeing the secret forums on two sites (PC and another one) I've come to the conclusion that it's not really all that important :P

I might be a bit curious, but I'd probably eventually report it and say that a part of the site's unlocked that shouldn't be.

o__________O @ you all. Trust me, there are better forums than the VIP forum that are important.

Uuuuh, yes. lol. I would definitely take the time to browse those forums.

Same here. I'd be very interested to see the deep, inner workings of PC or other websites I frerquent. It would be interesting.

That's very noble of you :P I certainly would have a little peek, but I would probably be very disappointed at what I saw - to be honest there's not that much here. I think it's better that this forum is known as a top secret area exclusive to VIP members because that sounds really cool, when in reality about 75% of the posts are "Why isn't anyone posting here?"

I'd probably click on it, expecting to be disallowed access. I'd then look, see there're only about 4 threads, go "oh well this is crap, and they'd notice if a non-supporter / non-moderator / non-whatever's-allowed-to-access-this-forum posted, so there's no point", then leave and never look again.

I probably wouldn't peek. I would wait to see if there was a question asked about it somewhere where I did have permission, and see if it was said whether or not we had access to the forum. I would feel kinda weird looking at it if I wasn't even sure if I should. :/

That would be very nosy of me. I'll refuse to look at the revealed forums. It won't be important anyways unless otherwise noted.

How would I know if it was an accident the sections were revealed? n__n I will admit, there's no holding me back if I got a chance. It's like not daring to pick up a new game that wasn't supposed to be released until a few weeks more, but there it is, a real copy sitting on a counter top of Gamestop. Lame comparison, but you get the point. ;)

It's literally a rare chance for such thing to happen, and life is meant for you to take chances, so something not so big like this wouldn't be too bad.

Well, I only used the VIP forum as an example since well, it does really apply to everyone here. XD

...then again, after reading these posts, the question wasn't necessarily about the VIP forum, oh well! :x

Let's reword my answer - if it was the VIP forum and I was just a member, I would. If it was anything higher and I was just a member, I wouldn't.~

I totally would. :| It was always the first thing I'd do when I had access to a new forum--I'd read back as much as I could without getting bored (which luckily, back then, was pretty much everything since PC was still new-ish xD).

You guys either have a much higher moral standard or you're lying. :P

Seriously. I got HQ access and spent like two weeks looking through all the old threads and threads that I was mentioned in. When I'm bored, I still do that. :| Did the same thing when I became a mod. If AD or PAD ever magically appeared and my name was still in orange, I'd bet my MacBook on it that I'd be in there ASAP!

If I was bored then it'd be a good way to kill time, but I wouldn't stop what I was doing (Unless I was doing homework xD)

To be dead honest I wouldn't. It would feel really wierd. Like I was betraying and taking advantage of the forums and admis. etc.

If I'm true to myself, I'd probably peak and read the thread topics, but I most likely wouldn't read the actual threads themselves unless My name were mentioned or something else intriguing.

If this place is anything like a few other boards that I administrated, then most of the discussions would probably just be full of yes/no for user features/emblems and the occasional "this user is annoying, should we ban them/ Why can't we stop these **** spambots!!!!!" thread.
