Quad battles, dual typed moves, and triple typed pokémon would be the exact types of things I wouldn't want to happen. If anyone has played the Mario Party games, the newest one, Mario Party 9, is largely unliked mostly because of how the developers made it so different from the preceding games and changed the mechanics that have been present since the first of the series. That would be what is going on here if the aforementioned things happened to XY.

Was the sky battles rumor false? if not than maybe the flying Pokémon battles is what they're talking about...of course if that's true, then the multi type moves could/would be too...

Those are the three things I would never want to see happen, even moreso than a new type being introduced. I'm fine with the single, double, triple and rotation battles we have now and expanding on that would mess things up badly. Dual-typed moves make it much harder to calculate damage and resistances, same goes with triple-typed Pokemon.

I would like to see Air Battles (similar to the ones Skyla did in the anime) or something like the PokeRinger from the anime as a new sidequest or something.

No for quad battles, triple was enough for me.

^ This, I agree with all of it.

I keep thinking about the bond mechanic.

I wonder if it will be some kind of way to make weaker pokemon more powerful. Kind of like how the anime would have a Marril take down a Salamence. You know the whole "You can achieve anything if you just believe" thing.

I think I would like a change that resulted in weaker pokemon having a better shot....at least with a lot of training and hard work.

What if they had a new battle type that was like a battle royale? So it would be anywhere between say 4 and 16 pokemon in a battle. All against each other. It would be total chaos but it could be interesting.

They said that we will have a large quantity of new information on June 12th (Japanese time). I saw it on serebii. We will get those info maybe at that E3 special! I am so excited! I cannot wait!!!

Also, I really hope that they will not change the dialogues. What I mean, I mean that in MD Gates to Infinity the dialogues making a disturbing noise as the chat goes on. I really hope they won't bring this to the basic games .

A large quantity sounds very promising! If last months information is anything to go by then I'm sure we're in for a heck of a reveal.

I wish they make double state-problems, like being poisoned while asleep, that would be great, somewhat hardcore but great...
I also wish, as said before, to have 2 or more save files, I don't want to buy 2 games just so that my lil bro can play & in the same time not mess up my progress :/

^ Funny that you mention that, because I am interested in the idea of introducing new status conditions, or at the very least sub-status conditions like confusion, attraction, etc.

Maybe add a new condition like say "Bruise" where a small amount of damage is taken each turn and defense is lowered for example. I want to see added mechanics in the game that don't completely change the game but switches things around so to speak, with the physical-special split being a good example. It changed the game by not subtracting anything but had a huge effect on each individual pokemon.

I'm also in favor of a new type because I think this falls under that category. The triple typing or quad battles might be a little bit of a stretch imo.

A new status ailment is a great idea, not exactly sure which but it certainly is something that could be introduced and the last time we had a new ailment introduced was Gold & Silver with infatuation soooo its possible.

Speaking of status ailments and new mechanics, do you guys think we may get something like the Pokerus? Maybe a status that makes Pokémon more friendly with us quicker? Or angrier. It can be something like "High emotions" which cause the change rate to double.

Assuming the translation was accurate, I'm guessing that something is to be revealed in next week's X and Y special which likely means we'll hear about it before when CoroCoro leaks. I want to guess it's going to be a new type, because that will permanently affect the battling system the most.

edit: Pretty much a given since CoroCoro is coming out soon, but a Pokémon (or more?) is said to be revealed in next weekend's Smash episode too.

Don't they still have Gogoat to reveal on Smash? Last week was Fletchling, the week before was Pancham, and the initial week was Helioptile iirc. Meaning they still have one Pokemon that they haven't revealed from the last CoroCoro that they said they'd be doing for the next three weeks.

Or worst case scenario, they still won't reveal the new type and instead reveal the multi-type move mechanic from that Pokebeach rumor along with a new Pokemon (or Mewtwo Y forme, which was also from the rumor).

Multi-Type moves has already been debunked though. The creator of the rumor claimed it was false and we have the designs that show the attack lists for Pokemon. There isn't any room for more than one type to be shown.

I thought they showed all four of the new Pokémon together before? Or is smash reshowing them in footage? Because that's a strange thing to do after showing all of them off on the week after Corocoro came out...and they had footage back then too.

They already covered Gogoat, on the week the four were originally revealed.

They said they were going through them one by one. Last week (The one that just finished) was Fletching, and I think the one before that was Pancham. Its only been three weeks so one of them hasn't been shown as a highlight.

Is it definitely a wing? It could be some kind of hand or a flipper.

Well maybe not a wing but it doesn't look like anything on the four Pokemon revealed, unless it's Fletching which is unlikely since they already covered that Pokemon a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe its Sylveon. She has that one ribbon that floats outward.

I was thinking about a new status problem that has something to do with wounds; when moves like Slash, Scratch, Metal Claw or anything similar get a crit hit the Pokemon is wounded & bleeds, it loses an amount of blood every turn (i.e. HP) & can be healed using a new item called "First Aid" or "Plaster" or something, berries won't work obviously :P
It may sound dark in concept but it kinda makes sense...

When all four of them were revealed last month of Smash, Gogoat got the most attention showing off the new riding feature and whatnot. Perhaps they counted that.

I don't think that's Sylveon though. Why put a question mark over a Pokémon that has been revealed to the public months ago? Unless it's a male equivalent to Sylveon like some people have been speculating, but I doubt that.
