I thought I redo a old thread I did here when I was still new to PC before the servers go down. (Now with a less punny thread title!)Now it's been over year so there's bound to be different responses so why not. I'm sure all of us have neighbors whether we live in house or in a dorm. Dorm neighbors are still neighbors obviously. How often do you talk with your neighbors? Do you like them or just hate them and find them annoying? Overall what do you think of your neighbors? You can also mention your roommates if you have any.

My neighbors are rather nice people. Both of my neighbors who live between me are elderly people. There's a older couple on my right side and a woman in her 60s on my left. I talk with the elder couple more than the other woman but they're both rather nice. I mainly see the other women when see's getting home from her job and we really don't say nothing except maybe "Hello" every now and then.

I live in an apartment and my neighbor beside us moved out a while back so the only neighbor we have are the ones on top. They're pretty okay since they stay quiet most of the time compared to the old tenants (Unless they argue). The old tenants were horrible, they would run around like horses, put loud horrible music, throw water on their balcony to clean it which resulted in that water drippin from the top of our balcony and the worst of all, they sometimes had some fun time together at night(If you know what I mean) and they were LOUD and the room they did it in was right above my room. Keep in min this happened when I was still around 10 years old. so I was traumatized by the noises they made. I hate them an I still do.

My neighbour's a retired elderly Japanese chap who walks his dog often and goes hiking every weekend. He's really really nice, always saying hi and asking how we're doing. He's always giving advice about practical living, whether it has to do with taking care of the backyard/garden or household or recreational apparatus. He also has the bestest Japanese accent. Fortunately we don't talk politics ^^

I live in richpeoplesville. The majority of my neighbors are doctors/nurses, border patrol officers, firemen, and university professors. I live between two border patrol officers, and one of them has a college kid who's sooooo freaking cute but he's too young for me lmao.

In the meantime, my neighborhood is actually pretty calm. I've interacted with a few around while my parents are the ones that refuse to make any contact whatsoever. But, in my case, I haven't had any problem with any of my neighbors. However, the only thing we're having a rivalry for is which house has the greenest grass. xD

I did like mine. But a few months ago someone cut off the head of her scarecrow she had set up and threw the head at her front door. For some reason she thought it was me, even though I was at drill with my unit that day. She called the cops and told them I was 'threatening her life' by that 'act of violence'. Long story short, almost got discharged because of her claim. She almost cost me my job so she can go **** herself.

I don't really associate with my neighbors just because they really aren't that close to where we live. The closest person is a good half of a mile from my house which is kind of secluded. Our neighbors also aren't the friendliest of people. They once cursed my parents out because our dog destroyed their lawn furniture XD. Yes, it was our fault that the dogs weren't being watched but they could have been a little more understanding about it, haha.

My neighborhood is very calm, my siblings are friends with our neighbours kids but that is like the only interaction I have with anyone else, a kid at my school moved across the road but he is moving soon but yeah, I don't speak to any of them probably because I cannot be bothered and I am never outside unless I am going to the beach or going out.

My neighbors are in-between; some are nice, some are not-so-nice. One neighbor lives right besides our house. Our front yards are sort of connected, since there are no fences. Whenever our cat finds their door open, she always goes inside. When she does, they immediately feed her. They have a cat as well, which our cat gets along with very nicely. The other neighbor, though—they're quite rude. They live across the street. One day, my mom baked a few oatmeal cookies for them. After that she went to their house and rang the doorbell—it took them ten to fifteen minutes to answer. When they opened up the door, my mom wanted to start up a conversation, but they just weren't very talkative. Finally, she was about to give them the plate of cookies, buuut… they didn't accept. Least thing they could've done is say "thank you," but they didn't do that either. My mom's got her feelings hurt quite a bit. We never, ever got into any kind of contact with them after that.

I've lived in a fourplex for the past 5 years or so, and have had the same neighbors the entire time I lived here. The couple that lives next door- I'd say in their late 40's-early 50's, are very nice and always stop to chat, though they can get carelessly noisy at times (loudly slamming doors, yelling from the porch to the backyard, etc.). The guy that lives below them is a nice guy too, but very much a car buff. Almost every weekend he's working on a car in our garage out back, and 50% of the conversations you'll have with him are either about cars or bikes. The couple that live below us are kind of oddballs, though. You can smile and wave at them and they'll barely acknowledge you, and at least twice a week you'll hear them come home well after midnight (or at least I do, since their front door is right below my window).

I live in a one story apartment complex. On one side to me is a nice albeit strange 40ish year old woman. I don't really leave my house much, but I've heard my grandma talk to this neighbor. They often talk about cats. When my cat had kittens, my grandma invited her into the house and said how cute they were. So she's fine.

The neighbors on the other side of me seemed perfectly fine when they moved in. They had a noisy Basset Hound but it didn't bother me. I thought it was cute how he howled whenever his owners left the house. The people often had parties, guests over, and the people who lived there appeared to enjoy singing operatically. Again, didn't bother me at all. But one time I had my (admittedly noisy) friends come over. We stayed in my room and talked and laughed and sang most the nights they were over, leaving the house only to go get food at the Plaid Pantry. Well, after my friends left, I got an eviction notice. Apparently someone called the landlord and told her I had two friends living with me that weren't on the lease, and they were very noisy. My grandma called her up and said it wasn't true, and my friends weren't even over anymore. The landlord understood my grandma and said it was fine and we could stay.
We were never told who made that report, but I had suspected it was the people with the basset hound because before they moved in, no one had a problem with my friends (who are not nearly as noisy as their friends!)
Anyway, eventually I stopped hearing their dog. My grandma told me she never saw the dog anymore either. So they apparently got rid of him or he died. They did buy a cat though. I assume someone made a noise complaint about the noisy pup. After their dog left, I started hearing them fight a lot. One time, the woman pushed her boyfriend/husband out the door and screamed something profane. ( their door is 3 feet from my window. I heard it very clear.) He came back in the house some minutes later and they calmed down until about 2am. Then at 2, they started fighting very loudly and I heard something heavy being thrown. So I called the cops and I asked the cop to just come over and make them stop fighting. The cop eventually came and shut them up for the night. But after that they had continual (but less heated) fights and I chose to ignore them. Fighting all the time, and no more singing..
A few days ago I heard them moving their furniture. Grandma told me they were moving out. Thank gods. I'd had enough of that!

My neighbours on one side are this old couple who are nice and let my daughter play with their dog in their backgarden/backyard. On the othe side however is this family who let their children scream and kick a football/soccerball on their trampoline from 8am to midnight even during the school term.

I live in the countryside, so houses are rather far apart. On one side is a military family that's so dramatic they belong in a soap opera. We don't really interact with the neighbors on the other side anymore. Across the street is a family of rednecks, but they're pretty nice. Everyone else on my road is too far away.

Well, I live in a dorm on campus. I have roommates to the left, right, and across from my room. I've met the two people who live to my left, and the two people who live across from me. I never have met the people who live to the right of me, which is odd. Anyway, I love the two people who live to the left of me. They are two guys who are so nice. Across from me live two girls. One is kind of eh, but the other is nice. All in all, I have really nice and respectful neighbors who arent loud or rude.

19 doesn't sound too young to me, but I may have different standards on what's too young. I would talk to him if I were in you're situation.

Oh my God that sounds so horrible at least you're moving out soon. :( I could never survive in that situation. Hopefully your new neighbors are much better people. :)

Neighbors on the right don't talk to me.
Neighbor on the left is creepy.

    It's a pretty normal (although maybe a little more crime-ridden) neighborhood. Either nothing is going on, or something happens suddenly. Shootings, drug busts, things like that. I'm pretty sure some guy was dragged out of an apartment across the street by police a while ago because he was a dealer. X}

I live in a really quiet neighborhood. The only time it ever gets loud is either when the neighbor across the street from my house plays music or when my neighbor just a couple houses down busts out the amplifier and practices with his band; neither of which I mind. There aren't a lot of kids around, so it's not like we have kids playing on the streets (not like in my days!) and the adults who do live around here are at work most of the time or it's just old couples who are out or stay inside most of the time.

Honestly, I'm too young to be living in this kind of neighborhood. I'm all about that night life.
