6th Gen [Super]-Secret Bases!

Anyone figure out this location? I'm trying my best to figure out where exactly it is, at first I was thinking Route 117 but there was no Secret Base originally on that Route nor so little trainers.

By the looks of it, it has to be Route 117. I remember a triathlete being in that corner and a berry garden south of the daycare center. It doesn't even look like a secret base if they put it in the middle of a route (how can it be a secret :P)

So how do you think your Super pals teams will update? I'm really starting to think that those are NPCs in your base, but if they are super pals, How will there teams update? If it's everything they connect to WiFi then that's gonna suck imo.

Yes you can! You can place your character wherever you want and set your own rules. (You can also set up your base such that it has a puzzle like gyms usually do.) I don't think it's been confirmed how your team is decided yet, though.

That looks like a redesigned Route 117 to me. I spent a lot of time battling that Triathlete in the originals and the rest...
Interestingly Route 117 was slightly redesigned in Emerald compared to RS, interesting to see it may be getting a new redesign.

I knew there were going to be secret bases not in the originals!

Surprised the Jr. and Sr. who were standing there didn't make that base as their own :P (I kid.) Makes me wonder if they got relocated on that route or if they're gone entirely, especially since they were one of the Trainers' Eyes/Match Call people.

It is nice to see new bases in new places (hey, that rhymed!), though. Makes me wonder if there will be new layouts after all.

I don't recall any trees with vines so I think we might get new layouts to reference that. Unless the trees are replacing the secret bushes...

There were trees with vines in RSE; they looked like pine trees!

It'd be interesting if they were behind there, huh? XD It'd be a good place to surprise you, haha.

Ah, no wonder. I only remember pine trees being the only trees we could make bases in...
in my earlier statement I meant trees as in the board leave trees.

Yeah, it certainly wood be interesting.

Unless they're further up, idk it looks like Route 117 but re-designed a little. Perhaps the trainers and Daycare Centre have been moved a little to the left/right. That tree with a vine is a secret base entrance, in Route 117 for RS there were no Secret Bases on that Route buuuut.

I think it's the former; look at the map here:

Unless they changed things in the desert, there aren't any stairs/higher grounds.

Looks like Meteor Falls by the looks of the crater on the right since there are several secret bases surrounding that area. Or it could easily be the Route Yato mentioned as the similarities are strikingly familiar.

That is definitely Route 117.

Those however are not Wepear Berries. They are yellow, not green. There's a change to the Berries found in places, it seems!

I agree with Meteor Falls. However, there is water on every floor of that according to the map, so it's either the exterior (someone posted the map of how that looks, see below) or it's a recoloured area around the Rusturf Tunnel.

EDIT: After a closer look at that map (check Route 114 below as well), I'm saying it's on Route 114. The double stair is there. The area with the secret base is redone with a crater.

Do you think battling in secret bases will be the only way to battle friends? If so, you are just battling an NPC version of your friend tho
That leads me to another question, if someone enters your base with you there, do you think they could battle you, or would they be battling the NPC you like in the originals

I meant to bring this up before but keep forgetting to do so. In the PC menu in the Trailer I noticed that the name (or rather nickname) of the Secret Base was Team Secret Base. I expect us to be able to change that Secret part to what we want. It almost makes us sound like a villainous team. If so I think I'll call mine Team Heavens after Rayquaza.

It'd be great if we could have multiplayer bases, and allow more than one person to decorate them. This would be like Minecraft, so to speak. I could actually see them doing it with team-bases, if they do ever wish this to be a thing.

Do you guys think that we'll be able to use basically any tree/wall/etc. to make a secret base out of? Reason I ask is the whole friend feature. What would happen if there were the same amount of places you could make a base as in RSE and you and your friend used the same location? I think they'll make it somewhat like the underground in DPPt where you could dig into any wall. I think you'll be able to climb into almost any tree and break down any rock wall you want to reduce the chances that you and a friend use the exact same location.
