If they changed the designs, I think compatibility with X/Y will be broken.

Wow, Mega Beedrill looks more menacing than before, and Mega Pidgeot looks more majestic :) Especially when the latter has No Guard as its ability.

I have to say Mega Beedrill does look more menacing although that stinger looks oddly proportioned although I like how it's become more wasp-like. As for Mega Pidgeot, there's barely any design difference between that and the normal Pidgeot aside from the blue marking on the wings.

The Mega Latis sadly stayed the same as when they were first leaked. Sorry but those two are my least fave Megas appearance-wise since they have no difference aside from the eye colors.

And Mega Pidgeot apparently has No Guard? That's a bit of an odd ability for a Mega, but I'm not sure if it's considered "good" but we'll see. Hopefully Beedrill might get something better.

Edit: Beedrill gets Adaptability. That's at least something that will be beneficial.

Pidgeot & No Guard could very likely have dealings with the decent number of (at least in original RSE):
- double battles, triples, multi battles (ie: reporter and cameraman)
- freakin' Electric types and Lightningrod
- rain routes & weathers effect on moves like Thunder and Hurricane (bird spam!)
- Team Nonspecific's Pokemon using Double Team (or Minimize; also, E4 opponents)
- Blizzard crits are delicious

Mega Pidgeot looks nice although it hasn't changed much and for some reason it doesn't look "powered up". Maybe it's just me....

I can't say I was expecting Mega Beedrill and Mega Pidgeot. Then again, I haven't really expected half the megas we've gotten so far. They keep their original typings, btw.

But all I want is a Mega Hydreigon/Haxorus/Zekrom.

As if the compatibility isn't already broken with all the new Megas anyways.

I didn't think Mega Latias/Latios would actually become things, but I suppose if it wasn't in XY then it had to be in something else...

And idk if it's just me, but I kinda think they're really overdoing it with Mega Evolutions in ORAS. Yeah, it was kinda cool in XY as a small addition to the battle scene, but now there's so many that it's getting really hard to keep track of, and I find some of them unnecessary.

The "newly" announced megas could already have their information in the existing XY.

People who say they are overdoing megas, may as well get use to it. Because it has been confirmed that they want to create a Mega for every pokemon line in the games. Though I think there are too many in 6th Gen now, they need to stop and bring more our in other games.

I am more annoyed in the fact that they are making another freaking serial code event.

As for the Megas, I really love Pidgeot and Beedrill, guess that pretty much confirms Mega Butterfree.

I think you're not following. XY receive updates via internet. These include new details, such as Mega Evolutions not present in the past and so on.

These Mega Evolutions will also be present in XY.

I'm just highlighting this for those who think the game will not be compatible with X/Y. Of course I couldn't care less if the evolutions are already loaded on the game at the moment or not.
