Pokedex crashing the game

Anyone else having this problem? Three days of Google thinks not.

I've got all eight badges in Alpha Sapphire, and lost to Steven twice. Right now I've been trying to level up my Sharpedo to take care of that freaking Claydol and catch some more Poke'mon while I'm at it.

So one day, I decided to walk from Fortree to Littleroot because I had an egg in my party and I might as well. The egg hatched on the northern part of Route 101, and a couple steps later I found a Zorua on the DexNav. I caught him easily, and the game shows me the new data that has been added to the Poke'dex - well, it shows me the Dex interface and a couple pixels of Zorua's sprite, and the black 3DS crash screen came up: "An error has occurred, turn it off and on again, etc." I repeated this whole scenario three times, the last time saving right after the egg hatched. Every time Zorua's Poke'dex entry crashed the game.

I soon realized that while opening the Poke'dex was perfectly fine, reading ANY entry (even those I only have registered as "seen") brings up the black error screen.

Googling this tells me how to do browser injection (relevant how?), Pokemon.com's support told me to contact Nintendo, who has no way to ask about specific games.

What's going on here, how do I fix it?

I had a problem like this a while back as well, where the pokedex would crash my game.

It turns out my problem was caused by something about the 1.3 patch.
I just went to the eshop, clicked on "Repair Software" (I think that's what it said), then the problem was fixed.

Yes, like the previous person said, have you tried to repair your game using the 1.3 patch? This one was just released, even though I haven't had any problems with my ORAS games so far, the patch might fix this! ;)

So, I got pretty curious what your team is in either Alpha Sapphire, Omega Ruby or both :) Did you use a favorite-pokemon-team, a Hoenn-only team or did you just put a nice team together and/ or do you perhaps change teams after completing the main story or stick with your original team through the entire game? Discuss! :)

My current team in Omega Ruby is the following (I kinda like to pick Hoenn-only Pokemon in this case and play through the entire game with this team, it has some of my most favourite Hoenn Pokemon):

I set 1.3 to download later because I need to go do something. I will let you know how it goes.

So that's what the update fixed. I was wondering what it fixed if anything. How odd that it only affected what seems to be a small number...

I think the main point of the patch was to force people to update their systems to stop the QR injections.
The game update requires the E-Shop, which to use that requires the system update that blocked the QR injections.
Because of this, people can't go online in-game without the update, so for them to trade/battle, they have to update their systems and they can't use QR hacks anymore.

Yeah, that's true since the patch was meant to fix games with issues for example, but thats great! :D I'm happy it worked out for ya! ;)

i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get Mewtwo it's been my favourite pokemon for years and i've been trying to get one.

You can't get Mewtwo in ORAS sadly. It requires trading from XY or transfer from a 5th Gen game via Pokemon Bank. Otherwise, you can consider asking someone in Trade Corner to trade you a Mewtwo.

Need help with trade error

What happen to X/Y? They do work trade pokemon without any reason that you can't trade. But OR/AS does. Why OR/AS can't do same thing what X/Y have? I tried trade pokemon with my friend but it wont let me because error message said "There is a pokemon that cannot trade in party." what the hell that mean? I ddin't trade pokemon in party. I was trade pokemon from pokebox. So I dont see anything wrong with my party pokemon. They are normal pokemon that I caught in game. So I need someone who is expert about trade error. Because I need Mewile so badly that AS don't have to appear. Only OR does appear. because I have mega stone in item bag. Any idea why I can't trade pokemon?
