The last two generations have made slight changes to old mons.Gen V gave the Rotom formes their own unique types opposed to keeping the Ghost/Electric they had in Gen IV.
Gen VI gave Pokémon like Pikachu and Alakazam a slight boast in their stats. Do you see GF doing this again? (changes to existing megas and formes are welcome too)

I could see changes to Pokemon's abilities, including the Megas, because it's the only way to nerf Mega Evolutions currently in ubers.

I hope against hope that they give them their old cries back. Those remastered cries are jarring and terrible.

I would also wish for Pokemon to be able to learn moves they should logically be able to learn but can't, and for maybe Nidoqueen to finally be able to breed but other than that I can't really think of anything.

I know both 5th and 6th Gen made some notable changes to older moves and abilities, so I have a feeling 7th Gen might change more moves and abilities from previous generations. I could see a few getting nerfs, but then maybe some weaker moves getting a power boost or some abilities gaining additional effects (such as Lightning Rod/Storm Drain gaining a Sp. Atk boost when triggered or Overcoat gaining immunity to spore/powder moves).

I don't think there'll be any. I'm still under the assumption that these games are gen 6 games in the sense that they can still battle and trade with XY/ORAS. I think these games will just focus on adding new Pokemon in a new region rather than modifying old mechanics or Pokemon.

I think they should boost Run away, Pick up, etc. to have an in battle effect. Or perhaps Run Away can be retired and those Pokémon that had it gain speed boost.

I also would like Mega Alakazam to gain those missing 10 points to it's Mega.

Pickup actually has an in-battle effect that if the opponent uses up a consumable item such as a berry, the Pokemon with Pickup will use that same consumed item the opponent had, or at least that's how I remember it.

I agree, they can always upgrade the current existing Abilities, like Leaf Guard and so on. I'm not really too keen on the new fancy things, nowadays. I would personally prefer some major fixings, instead of introducing us into bunch of new things. But then, simply fixing without new toys kinda beats the purpose of new generation/new games. XD

I don't like changes to existing Pokemon, it makes it feel weird when I play the original games... Like they're wrong or something :(

I can see they adding new abilities, but also, i think it's time to give new evolutions to filler pokemons. I'd like if this region as about 120 new pokemons, and 20 are cross evolutions and the other 100 are completly new lines.

I understand you, because I hated how they changed some abilities, like how 5th Gen turned Sturdy into a Focus Sash.

I would love to see new abilities, but because of Sugimori saying there's going to be a more simplistic approach, I'll probably expect less new moves and abilities added in this generation.

Actually, I feel bad for Greninja because in UBERS he is just used as a suicide lead and even he is somewhat outclassed by deoxys forms though it has Protean to compensate for it.
Gamefreak could give it some offensive stat increase or just nerf it a bit so that it can be used in Standard OU plays.

Except that Gamefreak wouldn't do that because A) 'Ubers' and 'OU' don't exist officially and B) Greninja is a balanced high speed, frail attacker that has been one of the most popular Pokemon to date.

Friezy is right, Game Freak doesn't like recognizing Smogon's tiers for official tournaments, and Greninja is without a doubt the most popular Pokemon of 6th Gen.

Look at Pokemon like Charizard, Lucario and Blaziken. They are all notably popular due to their badass image, and I could see something happening with one of the final evos of the new starters.

How about Desolate Land Rhyperior? This way he says a big "fuck you" to any water attacker and proceeds to set up a Swords Dance on them, or maybe set up Stealth Rock. It even gets a boosted Fire Punch. :)

More trolling would be Magic Bounce Blissey, that'd be hilarious and she also gets a reason to be used over Chansey. I'd also like Ferrothorn to get Flash Fire, Heracross and Milotic to get Adaptability, Raticate to get Huge Power, Weavile to get Technician and Heatran to get Drought.

I'd like Sandslash and Infernape to get Bolt Strike, because fuck water-types, and Kyurem-B, Zoroark and Tyranitar to get Gunk Shot and screw up fairies like no tomorrow. They should also give Hydreigon a 140 BP special Poison-type move, and maybe Scolipede and Talonflame a 140 BP Water-type move to let them screw their counters up. Hell they can even give Shaymin Hydro Pump or something. Diamond Storm Terrakion/Excadrill wouldn't be bad either.

I probably wouldn't hope for legendaries' signature moves or abilities to be distributed to other Pokemon, because they are meant to make the legendary unique.
