I really enjoy it! The gameplay reminds me a little bit of how Okami plays, or maybe a better comparison would be Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus because that seems to have a more comparable setting and style. Bayonetta herself as a character is pretty damn dynamic, and I find the cut scenes to be pretty cinematic.
It has a 4.5/5 on metacritic, 9.5/10 on ign, and 8/10 on gamespot if you acknowledge any of those sites' reviews, too.
