if you want some "safe" mons to start with, defensive volt switch Rotom-W and sp. def. Jirachi are a solid core. They have issues with some key mons but the para/burn will screw up a lot of stuff.

True dat. If I had a goal, I'd chase it :P But I don't so the plan is to find something I tolerate so I can do stuff I enjoy out of work. Music wouldn't be an easy career choice but it'd be really rewarding if it went well :P You can always be a music teacher and play in a band though :P

Maccas is going down hill fast. The managers are stupid and the crew are becoming stupider by the minute... The way I see it, if there's something you actually want to do then do it, if there isn't do something that you can tolerate so you can have fun outside. You're lucky having a job you actually want to do, I envy that desire. Not actually having started the degree would make it a lot harder to form opinions, that's for sure xD

I agree, earn was the wrong word to use. They should be given the respect from the start, perhaps not because they're adults but because of their position as a teacher and then work on actually keeping that respect. Some teachers just expect it and it never goes down too well.

That's true and it really shows in how they teach. But personally I'd think even if it's something you don't like, as an adult you should go to work with a good work ethic... I try and work well and I work at McDonalds :/ But you're going at it with the right attitude. If you actually like teaching then you're well on the way to being much better than most teachers out there.

I never had any real interests in any of the subjects at school. What I did like though was how certain teachers portrayed those subjects. It was like they were interested in the subject at hand and passionate about passing the knowledge on more than just how to pass the exams. The moods in those classes also seemed better so it wasn't only me that preffered it. When teachers were just using the book word for word and not caring to actually teach the students really didn't care as much. Those teachers would have stricter rules and yet they'd also have the most misbehaving students. It's not so much that kids these days don't care about teachers it's more that a lot of teachers really don't earn their respect, they just expect it.

I agree with that teaching stuff. Our schooling system is way too exam focussed and people end up basically knowing what boxes to tick and not a whole lot more. If you could teach them actual concepts and throw in some humour to keep them interested I think that could go down really well. The current standard of teaching is really low though. It seems that most of the time it's the younger teachers that actually engage the students and keep their attention while the older ones tend to be disconnected and just suck. Saying that my best teacher in High School was old but most of the time it worked out how I said.

It's just saying that Facebook watches what you're doing on the net while you're on facebook and puts it in the mini facebook on the corner. You have to let it but the amount of people that will just click to let that without paying attention is going to be high and they're who I'm waiting for.

It really is. Nobody is going to listen when they feel like you're treating them like an idiot. I just like it when things are put into more humerous terms. I think learning and laughing should be mixed. It would really help kids pay attention for longer in class.

I could not spend 4 hours transferring Pokemon and moving boxes around, that would drive me crazy... Coming from someone who spent about that time hatching eggs over and over but that's beside the point. It's crazy how long it takes to save when you change the boxes around but 2 minutes is insane. I don't think I've even had it take 30 seconds before 0.0

Yo! I saw you post and figured I'd drop by and say hello cuz, for one, Jolteon is awesome and two, I vaguely remember you from a while back. So, hello!

Always a great option. Personally, I'm going to need to go into community college, since I don't really have the grades and the bank to go straight to a four year uni. Hopefully I'll be able to get a grant, which will give me free money for college.

Looking at programming courses. I've been told to start with Python, and then gradually work my way up to C. The only programming experience I have is with HTML/CSS, and that's hardly programming. I'm not entirely familiar with the application process either - I'm just looking at possible colleges and the courses they offer. Looking at one that will allow me to transfer credits to a different state, as I'm leaving this shithole ASAP. xD
