Hey there! I saw your thread in FF&W, and I have a couple concerns.

First of all, I don't really allow threads in FF&W that solely advertise one's ability to review fics. Everyone wants their fic to be reviewed, everyone. I've seen this on a few other forums, and they just normally end badly. The reviewer gets caught up and can't fulfill some requests, some writers throw a fit because the reviewer didn't keep their promise, and chaos ensues.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is that the reason I didn't lock your thread was because you also included tutoring. I was wondering if you might be interested in changing around the thread a bit into a beta-reader thread? If you don't know what a beta-reader is, basically, it's a person that the writer sends their latest update of their story to for proofreading, before they release it to the public. So, would you be interested in this?

Oh nice! Unfortunately mine only covers my first three years as that's the standard length of the degree (though I'm pushing it out to four years) but thankfully the education system in Australia is good as we can defer payment until we earn a certain amount of money. Is it a similar sort of system in Canada?

I was going to say, if it didn't translate over that well than technically in the end you would be the one being screwed over. Thankfully, that doesn't seem like that's the case.

Oh gotcha. So technically because you were able to get to the fourth year courses and she didn't, then you technically have earned the right to an Advanced Minor in it? *fingers crossed that's the right answer*

Can you Advance Minor in essentially anything, you just need a background in it? Just curious considering I don't believe we have that over here in the US.
