My theme is Joey. n__n <3 He's fluffy and cute. But I also like Yugi and Yami, and yes, Yugi is the protag. Joey is his best friend. Seto Kaiba is the rival. Tristan and Tea (pretend there's an accent above the e) are also friends of Yugi and Joey. And I'll let you find out about Yami by watching the show, because me trying to explain it would plunge us into chaos. :P

Anyway, her name is Mai Valentine. The pun isn't subtle, but nothing about her is, if you've noticed. I have no clue how old she is supposed to be, sorry. She uses Harpy Ladies as her main monster in duels. She pretends to have psychic powers by spraying all her cards with different perfumes so that she knows what she's going to draw, and this plan is foiled by Joey during their duel in Duelist Kingdom. She makes it to the finals there and surrenders to Yugi. In the next arc, Battle City, she also makes it up to the finals (literally, UP to the finals...) but tbh, I'm not gonna tell you too much about what happens there since that's a really good arc and I'd hate to spoil it! :) Though my profile picture is a huge spoiler really, though I think it's from season 4. Not totally sure about that.

Ah, see that, that I like. I love the natural flow of that piece. Usually I'm not a big fan of that sketchy, cross hatch look.. but this more "traditional" art sells it to me. The best part is that negative space. <3;

Right off the bat, I think that guy in the first panel (where he's standing next to the girl) looks so weird. His head / neck is too big for his body and his torso is too long. But hey, that's streamlining for you. It's going to happen when you have to scale things down for dramatic purposes. The style is pretty unique, and I definitely like the partial departure from a classic eastern style. I, personally, would dull out those blacks a little though. That guy from the first panel is so dark and some grayscaling (as opposed to cross hatching) would make it easier on the eyes, in my opinion. Other than that, the natural flow of the panels is consistent and dynamic. And that second page is.. so amazing. Reminds me very much of TWD covers, with heavy foreground / background. Is it hugely different from every other comic I've read? No; but it's definitely professional work. I don't know what the text says at the bottom there (all I can see is "net") but keep up with whatever you've got going because, artistically, there's a lot of merit here.
