  • Unknown sprites? What do you mean by those? Almost every slot has its own base stat data at all.
    I dont think that would be a pokedex order issue, but most likeyly an issue regarding where you put the seen/caught flags and the pointeres to them.

    Yea I had gotten advice to try the unown slots too and it helped fix a lot of issues.:) I'm just glad ll made the new tut.
    Yeah! I have my own google drive ([email protected]). Well, I'm personally a spriter but I can't get to imagine what you mean. So, just send it through drive so I can see it. I do work for second frame sprites for maintaining Emerald animations.
    If you mean the unknown slots in between treeko and celebi then yes. If you mean the unowns/egg after deoxys and chimecho then yes too. And it will not cause any issues, but will save you from getting some bugs in the long run.
    Oh! So you have talked on what have I listed. They are my personal on-the-help dudes. Yeah! They are mostly busy in college. Same as me but I'm finally in a summer vacation so I can do what I liked to do but I would have been busy with important stuff soon. I just spent time in hacking because this guy waits for my emerald expansion patch. Abilities are pain in the back. I've been looking and studying it for a long time but it hurts even though I'm nube in disassembly. I wsih I have another mindset for that. :/

    Hmm... I don't know the problem with GoGo but there was a personal friend of mine who's also in the community talked to GoGo too but when he asked something, he said that he was just ignored and trashed. Hates nubs I guess. :/
    Only FBI Agent, daniilS, Touched, GoGoJJTech, and MrDollSteak I know who are ASM dudes and can be asked and reply back anytime... the rest of the other ASM dudes don't reply at all. :/
    No problem! :D Learning assembly... there are a lot of tutorials about that... here, here, here, and here. Disassembly? That's one thing I don't know about it and I'm not all ASM maker but an ASM inserter... :P I'm just a local spriter here. Sorry. But, I would learn about more ASM soon if I have time. I'm also an uber nube about that. XD But a good program for ASM might be here too.
    Yeah! You have finally got right about it. :D You can have more than one pokemon share a dex entry. BUT whomever goes first in the true list, the first one's name, picture, cry, footprint, and dex data will appear on the pokedex. What I did is I set three pokemon in the same number of national dex number. Example for that is Kyurem, Black Kyurem, and White Kyurem slots (forms and megas do have separated slots which I did for the expandeds). The normal Kyurem slot goes first than those two. So, I haven't encountered the Normal Kyurem but I encountered and caught Black Kyurem, the Normal Kyurem's data will register in the Pokedex. That's how it works.
    It will do good... you only just need to repoint and expand the effects table until 255, and you will be fine (no limiters to be changed). And, you also need to edit the pointers on the table (214th-255th slot) which leads to a battle script for effects (BSP "Battle Script Pro" is one easy tool to edit battle scripts, effects, and pointers in the effects table).

    Even if you only expanded effects but not expanding moves, it will work though since that it is literally "attacks" and literally "effects" (they are separated though and very very different). In each attack, you just need to set an effect number to it (BSP and PGE are accurate in setting effects to attacks). Not to worry about having a lot of moves in one effect because it only cares its effect in battle (example: Pound, Tackle, and Scratch having the same effect number so they will have the same effect in battle... or Flamethrower, Fire Punch, and Will-o-wisp having the same effect number so they will have the same effect in battle). :)
    Yeah! Only jambo's technique will make moves past 511. I have been to 1080 and it still seems to work well. Except that, with the latest edition of routines and byte changes (which then I personally translated them from firered to emerald), I get trouble when "anytime the pokemon levels up, it learns the very first move in the list" and I still dunno how to get rid of this (noted that I have applied expansion of pokedex first before this. I will retry later with the non-expansion thingy). That's the reason why I didn't post how to expand them past 511 with jambo's routines. Once I get rid of it, I will sure edit my post together with doing past 511 (redoing the tutorial won't be a problem).

    Effects are only limited to 255 but the data showing only 213. Right! Of course it is needed to repoint and expand again to use all remaining slots until 255. Actually, there is no limiter to effects because the rom already limits the effects to 255.
    This is an "open-source patch." Meaning that none of the wild pokemon changed, none of the storyline changed, just a couple of other things.
    Well, I have some good news and bad news. The good news is, PROJECT EMERALD 650 is FINISHED :D. The bad news...now I have to find, and capture, everyone...oh boy -__-
    I am working alone, and it's still Emerald 650. In all honesty, the project might be done either today or tomorrow.
