  • Whatcha mean? The ones from my sig I banished them to the land of bleh, because I hate blecky signatures and Breloom gave me an evil look. D:
Yeah, I skipped Brawly too. Got Aron at the beginning (I was playing on Sapphire, I thought that no Mawile was better than having to fight Numels and Camerupts) and just skipped him. My final team was something like Aggron, Aggron, Skarmory (I think) (One knew Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Water Pulse I think, and the other knew Hyper Beam, Iron Tail, Earthquake, Rock Tomb maybe, dont' really remember.) Skarmory was actually pretty useless, I think I would have been better off just going with the two Aggron from the beginning.
yeah but i was hoping to get gigalith, archen/archeops, and tirtouga/carracosta instead of dwebble/crustle. better type coverage that way. what i really mean is if i choose tirtouga all of my pokes are weak to grass and everything outspeeds me but if i choose archen im weak to rock and water. if i had both archen and tirtouga i could cover both types just wandering though if i cant do the fossil trade then i was going to do fighting.
The good thing about Ariados is that he can learn just enough moves to be good. He can really only learn like 3 good moves imo (Psychic, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain), but they are all pretty powerful. Unfortunately for me, with Nidoking being my second favorite Pokemon of all time, and Crobat being up there, there really wasn't that much room for another Pokemon (I like using two Pokemon if I can manage, but I will go to three if I have to.)
But it wasn't a bug catching day, so I couldn't catch one. And I didn't want to have to grind a level 20 Scyther all the way to like 50 to match everyone else. I just go too fast for that.

In the end though, Ariados was a lot more useful than Ledian. Honestly, I didn't know Sludge Bomb did so much damage.
Uggggggggh. It still won't work. I watched that video that you linked me, as well as another one, and it doesn't register that I've started a game yet, and forces me to start a new game. Here's what I'm doing, tell me if I'm doing something wrong...

    1. Play for a while on VBA. Get a Kadabra or something that needs to be traded.
    2. Save using the menu (not savestates) and close VBA.
    3. In the "save" folder of TGB Dual, paste Pokemon Silver.sav
    4. Past Pokemon SIlver.sav, but rename it so that it says Pokemon Silver.sa2
    5. Move the Cartridge to the same folder as TGB Dual.
    6. Begin playing TGB Dual.

When I do this, I never see the "continue" option, only new game. Any advice?
Hey JD in your sig who made the animation of the training walking with his Pokemon behind him D: your sig is so much more organized than mine :3
Eh, yeah, I saw, oh well, Entei is pretty bad, low sp. attack and not enough physical attacks.
How do you transfer from TGB to VBA and vice-verca? I've been doing a ground run on VBA (Silver), but when I try to load it with TGB it acts like i'm starting a new game.
Not 100% sure on what Alakazam wants, so just to be safe, I did 2 Haunters for Ghost on Blue and Silver, and 2 Dragonites for Dragon Blue.
Alder. Sorry about that, I wrote the rules before B/W came out, and forgot to edit it.
you prolly miss the ones at Lake of Rage and outside Mt Silver, maybe. I don't really go out of my way for them, though. RS has Pickup, but Plat. has a bunch around, and I know where they are.
How are there that many? I can understand RSEDPPt because of pickup, but I think that like 3 is the most I've gotten in GSC! I guess that's what I get for never familiarizing myself with the game, and sticking to the main path all the time.
Rofl I know what you mean. I sort of think Kanto as like one "badge". Like in the beginning, you have Mr. Pokemon Quest, then Zephyr Badge. Slowpoke Well, then Hive Badge. Ilex Forest, then Plainbadge. Every badge seems to have a little sidequest before you can challenge the gym. It almost seems like the sidequest is to beat the Kanto Gyms, and the real Gym Leader is Red.

How many Rare Candies do you usually end with? I had to use two against Lance, and I don't really remember getting lots of rare candies usually like I would in Red/Blue.
I'm going to ask you about this. It could help both of us out in our challenges, I think.

We should make the Gold and Silver games harder. I'm tired of being in Team Rocket's hideout in Mahogany and still fighting level 18 Pokemon. If I were to "fix" the game, and buff their levels up to about 30s, would you a) think that it would be fine to use that ROM, and b) think about using it yourself. In a way it makes it harder and easier. Its harder because obviously, the Pokemon you're fighting are harder. But its also easier because you get more exp.
