Yeah, you'd understand best of anybody. I don't really need trading. I thought this run would be really tough with 2 pokemon that i don't think i've ever used (i might have used magneton once) for half of the game (and an underlevelled skarmory at the 8th badge), but its really not. Foretress can steamroll anything with rollout. Its just a matter of time before I either level magneton high enough for Zap Cannon, or get Rain Dance and Thunder. Then he'll completely destroy stuff. Also when I get Defense Curl for Foretress. I'll just need to get past the Fire Gym...

O.o wut. I thought I tried it and it didn't work! Meh, its too late for me on this run, and I don't have many that I have left after this (i don't think). I think I'll just tough it out.

Btw, how is trading with RSE using the VBA link? I tried that once, couldn't figure it out in like 5 seconds, and thought "this is stupid, I could be halfway done with this challenge by now."

Bah. I don't mess with TGB Dual. It runs so much slower, and I've had a couple of bad experiences where it froze on me 3/4 through the game and i never saved. I think that being able to go 5000% is better than a Steelix.

Wrong. that eye problem sucked, especially with spring break being last week. Instead of relaxing and playing video games all break, I stayed in bed with the lights off. But now the massive headache everytime I see light is gone, so I think I might slowly be able to post and challenge a little more now.

Yep, you're right. I think I'm going to do one of them after I finish Electric, as I've already done Hoenn in both of them. Unfortunately, my eye's gotten worse again, so I can't do anything til it gets better.

Maybe someone should just make a list of monotypes in certain regions were hacking would be acceptable just for you first Pokemon.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but then I started getting a little confused when myrrh hacked in a Chinchou at the beginning for his Hoenn Electric Monotype.

I plan on joining you and myrrhman on doing a bunch of monotypes. xD
Are you basically allowed to hack in something from the start if you don't get it until later? I saw you guys doing that in your updates, but the rules really don't make it that clear.

Lol, finally got that last save to work! It took me a few hours, but my last save seems to be working well...I'll be experimenting with it tomorrow a bit to make sure.

i did see that yeah. i probably should have gone with exeggutor (or however you spell it) over victreebel, although i was just fine with only parasect and venusaur. didnt even need swords dance. sleep and leech seed FTW. And btw, i dont like it when people use 'gay' in the way you did, in a negative connotation.

I really don't know. It's hard because you can't catch pikachu or chinchou until really late. Probably duo with manectric and minun until i can get chinchou. and why emerald? 3 words: wallace is champion

Yeah, you could, or you could just play FR/LG and hack one in. If you're doing an Ultimate Dark or Steel, you don't even have to do Kanto (if you look at the OP, it just has Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions). So, I guess if you wanted to do Dark or Steel in Kanto for a more complete UMC, the first part would actually fall under my jurisdiction. For Dark and Steel, I'm perfectly all right with you hacking in your entire team at appropriate levels. Like for Dark, you could start with Murkrow, Houndour, Poochyena, Seedot, Cacnea, Carvanha, or Corpfish, and later get Sableye, Sneasel, and Absol. Don't hack all 7 of them in at the very beginning, get yourself started with 2 or 3 of them for a bit, then hack the rest in.

For Steel, you can start with Magnemite, Pineco, Aron, or Beldum, and later get Steelix, Skarmory, Scizor, and Mawile. Catch my drift?

Yeah, but make sure you hack in a low level (derp I know, but I've seen people hack in lv. 100s before) Pokemon that could potentially be seen as an early game Pokemon. That means like, for Steel, you can hack in a Magnemite, but not a Steelix (if that make sense).

So for Dragon RBY, you can obviously just hack in ONE Dratini, for Ghost ONE Gastly, and for Ice either a Shellder or Seel. Lapras and Jynx are not beginning level Pokemon and Articuno is banned.
