Ah, brains. You just gotta blackmail them by threatening to poke them with a cotton swab to get them to shut up. Mine's been banged against various hard objects that it just kinda floats in a sack of fluid in my skull now. The reason I'm more coherent than other people sometimes is because I'm under the control of a sock-eating cupcake.
And yes, I did go to bed at eight in the morning. =D But I found another journal community that finds wank in various places, and I love those types of communities. Very amusing, and at times frightening, especially at the things one learns there. (Like I just found out Greensboro, NC is home to people who drive 80 mph or knock people down on the sidewalk. Now I have amusing images of Card in my mind pretending to be a race car driver. x3)
XD It's kinda sadly funny that you sent me your message seventeen minutes after I went to bed, and we're in the same time zone. I'm very easily amused.
According to my Decorating In Green: So You Think You're a Leprechaun book, lime green is a nearly shocking shade of green. It's like the label of a bottle of Sierra Mist (which is the closest thing I have around me that color). Kelly green is a softer shade that's more enticing, whereas lime green is more captivating. (lolwut?)
Since Big Al said that dramatic scenes "can have quite a bit of description to add to the atmosphere", I would assume that he meant that lighthearted scenes need nothing more than a few words. So it's preferable to have paragraphs upon paragraphs of description about a character's raven-colored soul, but if the character is happy, it should only get a word or two.
I hope that part of you that died wasn't important.
Aw, heck! You don't have to abuse the thesaurus to get groupies to defend you! You have to do...something. I honestly have no idea what it is that makes some authors on SPPf gods among men over there. I've never understood it at all how things work over there. o_O Most forums are very easy to understand how things work. SPPf? Not so much, especially in the fic section. I understand some things there, but not all the secrets.
I sometimes think that I should also go back, but...eh.
Unfortunately, Andy is claimed by me for the month of November. =( That new book by Card is finally coming out on November 11, and I'm there. And writing fanfiction. And wondering whether Andy is going to act like his "I'm obviously in the closet, but I like to deny!" personality, or his "I watch gay porn nightly for 'research' because girls are icky" personality. He will, hopefully, be acting like his typical pansy crying self that makes me want to wrap him in a blanket and give him pudding.
I'm so easily distracted. *goes to look at foreign covers of Ender's Game* The Israel cover has the Starship Enterprise on it! Ender meets Captain Kirk. I like it. The Hungarian one is actually cute. o.o Brazilian one? That one was frightening.
EDIT: Just heard of something amusing. You know the Lego Star Wars video games? I've heard one better: Duplo Firefly. XD A little figure of Mal, eight times larger than Lego-sized people, wandering around on a chunky spaceship. Probably wondering why people call him "Maul".
