Well, yes; you're one of us! :D *hugs* I remember when I literally joined this place 9 years ago. All I really wanted was to try out the (back then) new Wi-Fi functionability on the newest Pokémon games; something I really wanted since there were no people close by me that played the games. Best times of my life. Also people here are awesome at both socializing and playing Pokémon. Also had... other good things happen here if you know what I mean. :D

I reckon you'll enjoy it. And hey pumpkaboo is cuuuuute :3 Yeah, Gen V wasn't bad just... different. It was very strange. I don't hate it, but it's not one of my favourites.

Yep, it's just an amazing gen. I'd have to say it's close between 4 and 6 for me, but I think 4 just takes it for the nostalgia factor.

Ooh cool, that's a pretty good deal actually. I'm not a big fan actually. Until ORAS, Generation 3 was the only generation I'd never played in any forms, since I'd played Yellow all the way through, I didn't play Generation 2 but I did play the remakes, I played Gen IV (my first and probably favourite <3) V and VI, but before ORAS I had really no interest in Gen III, and even now after ORAS I just didn't mesh all that well with them. To be honest I don't think Gen III is all that good, but it's when the majority of people started playing it seems, so it's really popular for nostalgia reasons. Which I understand, because it'll be my turn whenever the Gen IV remakes happen. I played X by the way, was thinking of restarting it. Up to you, the differences aren't too big but I'd prefer to have picked Y. Yveltal is just so cool :D

Oh really? I've known about shinies for a while, since before Gen V came out. But somehow, everyone talks about their random encounters and I've got none. People even said the shiny rate may have been increased in X and Y, since it seemed so common. Still none ;-;

Yeah, but I'm trying not to think about the time until November. It'll be here soon. I'm hoping it reignites my love for pokémon like X and Y did. If I'm completely honest, ORAS were boring to me. Didn't get them on release, bought OR about 2 months after, got to the 4th gym and was bored. Recently beat it, traded everything to box and then my X version, and sold OR. I just found them slow, and had no real interest. But Sun and Moon look like they could be great.

I did a little chain fishing in X and Y and got a Relicanth and a Basculin. Never once have I had a random encounter with one though :(((

People are really friendly, I can honestly say that as a person who can be quite awkward and anxious no place has ever made me feel as welcome as this place, especially since I was a very immature child - just 8 years old when I joined, and so they put up with all my... well... you know how 8-year-olds are. xD
I know how you feel actually, don't have a great deal of close friends that play pokemon, so this place is great for that!

Yeah sure :3 I mean, technically I'm a veteran but the last time I consistently visited the site for like a whole year was probably 2011 or maybe 2012. I decided to come back because no other place I've ever seen has the same sense of community as this place. It truly did feel like a family back then. And I really miss that. Getting that atmosphere back would come from being more involved in the community but I never have the motivation to. But I figure that making some cool friends would be the way to go about it ^-^
