  • Nice work with all your research recently. :) Seriously, kudos. We need more people like you in the community.
Wow, did you find those for me? Either way, thanks :D

I'm definitely going to use those, but my Emerald game is already done. (I'm going to remake of it, and make a far superior version next summer, though. That's why I wanted to know.)

You can check it out if you want it my signature (it's compleeeteeeeedddd). After that, I have another question.
    Ah I see.

    So it'd be
    writebytetooffset 0x0 0xAABBCCDD
    writebytetooffset 0x0 0xEEFFGGHH

    for a top-screen textbox?
Okay, thanks a lot. I would have looked in XSE, but I use PKSV (better user interface imo)

Now, the single byte you write, what is it, exactly? I assume 0x0 would be the norm, so 0x8 would move the box 8 pixels right? How would you go about moving it vertically, if 0x0 is the bottom of the screen?
No, but I mean in a script, if I wanted to move the message box, what exactly would be the syntax? "writebytetooffset 0x020204B4 0x(X-pos) 0x(Y-pos)"? I'm sorry to keep asking, but I'm new to that command and such.
Never mind, it's for FR. I checked out some things in there. Man, I HATE having to use hex, and pointers, and ASM. 3rd level languages all day.

I'll still try it with Emerald when I have time. Is that writebytetooffset command all I need to move the textbox? (Because, by the way, there's a really awesome ASM that makes it invisible.)
Thanks. I'm guessing it would be "writebytetooffset 0x020204B4 0x(X-pos) 0x(Y-pos)"?

And is that for FireRed? I'll have to test it with Emerald.
I like your tutorials. I want to learn how to do it, soon.

Anyway, I was wondering: Would you even have the slightest idea of how to move the message box location on the screen? Or change it's size? That's something I'd really like to know how to do, if you ever have time.
Your signature is pretty awesome. I'm not really into hacking nowadays but the format is really nice. XD
i saw jambo51 video i like the progress but i beleive that warps are number 1 problem :)
hey im sorry if i sounded rude towards dark shark but he kinda impliead that i was lazy because he didnt exactly understand my question(im not sure if you understood it either)
as i know you need asm but i was curious on how far someone has developed a script that work

also when thedarkshark said that i should read the thread and in fact maybe he mist it but the first post says that what i asked(or included in my post) was possible

i hope you guys aint mad at me i was just trying to prove a point :P
    lol sorry tho :)
ohkk lol thanx dam it seems as its a HUGE chunk of asm and well i no Nothing about asm so yea (i can barely operate a hex editor :P)
    haha thanx for the help
sorry for the bother is their a good asm tut anywhere (where it explains everything step by step)
sorry to bother but i have a small question is it possible to ADD cutscene movies to Firered? (like in Ruby where kyogre and them have that fight and reqauza come in and stuff)
    is this possible?
