It's not really against the rules. I mean, I really see no harm in the long run. Most people who posts these kinds of threads almost always forget that they posted the thread in the first place. I dealt with this when I was newly promoted and a user literally lost their shit when I merged their thread to the simple questions thread. So yeah, after that delusional event, I tend to leave the threads be.

on-and-off for years now. i used to be massively into in-game stuff like the battle tower and whatnot when i was an active serebii member. this was sorta my origin on the internet haha. much as i hate to say it i was pretty good too - there were a group of us who built up quite a lot of ideas and strategies in the tower that worked out really well and those generally apply well enough to full-on competitive to be able to at least give conceptual advice. theorymonning allll the way, haha
