Yeah, although it's really hard to learn, I'm getting better and better. Add to that having a few friends that speak the language fluently. Japanese huh? That looks interesting. The closest I got to 'learning' Japanese is when I used to watch anime like two years ago lol. I knew the basics just from reading the subtitles. Do you/did you ever watch anime?

Exactly. Although I was the suspect like 90% of the time, it was still an unfair childhood filled with baseless (sometimes justified) accusations lol. I of course always denied everything, which my parents didn't buy haha. I was grounded a LOT. This all stopped when I entered high school (especially during my sophomore years). I somehow got a lot more quite and reasonable lol.

Yes, a lot. I watched too many movies to count lol. I'm not sure if it's on Netflix, since I usually purchase them as DVDs, or sometimes download episodes. I watched a couple of Jim Gaffigan and he is indeed hilarious. I didn't expect him to be funny; he didn't look like it at first haha. I am going to a Arabian restaurant for dinner today with my friend; she said it's one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. I also like to try out new food. I get bored with the same food so I always try to fin something completely different than what I'm used to. I even am learning how to cook lol. Are you a good cook?

Well, I had the luxury of living pretty much on my own for college, and then my parents still think I'm 7 and still need my hand held for everything... and get mad when I complain about it.

I've mostly been on the east coast though :P I think the farthest west I've been was a layover in Chicago-O'Hare during a flight home (I only went home for summer and over Christmas breaks... one year I even spent most of Thanksgiving working the front desk of an on campus residence lol... at least it was extra money :P ) I like to travel a lot by car, stay in hotels, etc... somehow being on the open road makes me feel totally at ease and I like to see the sights.

My favorite team is the Carolina Panthers, since they played just down the road from the college where I did my graduate work. Shame they've been playing badly lately xD

And actually, your Leaf Green game is an introduction to one of the main characters... whether it's a hero or a villain depends on what character you picked xD. I enjoyed that game a lot, in fact it's my second favorite behind Platinum. And it has the best looking character in all of Pokemon (and hopefully you can tell who I'm talking about, lol )

Well, it's typical boring here. We have a "family reunion" a week from Sunday, but I honestly don't know hardly anyone who goes and there's nobody my age who goes anyway... they're all old people :P I might just skip it.

Well, fortunately, it looks like I'll be dropped off at Denny's to eat while the rest of the family shops there. I don't need to get anything... I'd rather get my groceries elsewhere and their video game and DVD selections both, quite frankly, suck xD

Yeah. It's like my life is only work right now. While I am managing to squeeze a couple of parties and whatnot, work still is taking over my life! x( Yes, Dubai is very nice. The hot weather certainly doesn't help, but I have a pool nearby and I tend to stay there when it's too hot and I have no work lol. I'm beginning to master the Arabic language yes lol. I've been learning it for almost 7 months now, and I've gotten the hang of it.

Haha, yeah. Traveling is becoming a hobby of mine. Still, I have to consider the money I get; I don't get free food, fuel or whatnot haha. Haha, The Board? Sound intimidating just from the sound of it O.O

Yeah x( I thought they liked it so I kept adding more lol. Haha, yeah. My dad came into the room, yelling, "Oliver where are you?", and he turned on the light. I once tried to sing when a couple of friends took me to karaoke; I was pretty good haha. I remember singing something for Queen lol. I am still a little nauseous; a friend told me a drink some kind of alcohol to feel better, but it seemed a little too good to be real lol.

I've watched School of Rock (loved it), White Chicks (was hilarious), and Mean Girls (watched it with my sister lol). Yeah, Community is extremely amusing and witty. I'd recommend it really. As for Jim Gaffigan, I heard of him and never watched him honestly. My friends did. Does he have any videos on YouTube or something?

I am digging the whole Arabian food now to be honest lol. The Tabboule, Fattoush, and some other food are just too damn good to miss out on! I tried sushi; meh, wasn't that tasty for me. There are a lot of Indian and Pakistani restaurants here, and I was thinking of going there some day as I heard the food was tasty. Did you ever try it out?

Okay, thanks. The shedding is part of my allergy, so I'll have to get a breed that doesn't shed a lot. And I think I'd like that they can keep to themselves... I'm not too good with high maintenance :P

Well, neither bathroom is in great shape, it's more that their tub had been resurfaced/given a cover while ours hasn't - and the bottom of ours feels gritty which is not what you want when you're trying to get clean, lol.

I'm just wanting to move out on my own... my parents have weird rules and we often clash over them... it's not a good situation for either of us with me still there.

15) Favorite subject in school: Math xD It's why I majored in math for my undergrad, then secondary math education which I had to transfer to finance for my masters. I don't like it as much since taking some brutal classes in college though. My character Lisa is still a big math nerd, though :P I was pretty good at science too, especially chemistry.

16) Stuff you like to read: Japanese manga (comics), road maps/atlases. I'm not much for reading actual literature... I hated reading books in school xD

So, have you had the chance to emulator-play any of the more recent Pokemon games? How are things going? It's quite warm here today, and I'm wishing we had air conditioning. Wal-Mart tomorrow, but hopefully I can get my parents to drop me off at a restaurant when they go in there... sitting in the car is gonna get way too hot, especially since they spend well over an hour in that place.

And yeah, I play the guitar. I self-learned for a few weeks then I was taught by my uncle who is a music teacher in high school. I am not THAT good but I do okay lol. I mostly listen to classical really (only when it comes to guitar), and I listened to a few N Sync as well but I honestly am not really knowledgeable in many genres or singers for that matter. I play just for the sake of playing lol. Do you play any instruments? Lol, that's a weird course name haha. The teacher I took with has a reputation of giving away easy grades so it's all good on the part lol.

She alternates between being a sub and working one on one with special needs kids... it's actually her part time "retirement" job since the economy turned sour.

Well, we're tackling it little by little, mostly do it yourself work... we had the roof fixed, the kitchen repainted... sadly I don't think bathroom renovations are on the agenda. Even though our tub looks filthy, my parents don't think it's very high priority. Of course they have their own bathroom which is in better shape... and we're on a well too - it sucks because there's like no water pressure at all and it's never as warm as I want it to be.

1) Favorite place to shop in general: Target, Barnes & Noble, and this little independent store called Hammergirl Anime. But actually I do more shopping on Amazon and eBay than anywhere else.
2) Favorite grocery store: Harris Teeter, in North Carolina. They're a bit more expensive, but the stores are actually clean and their store brand products are actually good :)
3) Favorite motel/hotel chain: Quality Inns all the way :) I've found most of them to be clean and not too expensive, plus the only time I'll ever eat breakfast is a free hotel breakfast :)
4) Favorite fast food restaurant: Either McDonald's or Wendy's. I like the burgers and chicken nuggets at Wendy's better, but McDonald's fries are something I've loved since a child :P Wendy's was a daily part of my life for over a year and a half because they opened one right in our student union xD
5) Favorite sit down restaurant: Applebee's as the chain one that's closest to us that serves good food, but near my college there were a couple of very nice independent restaurants - Harper's Restaurant and the Tavern on Park.
6) Where you would like to live: The Charlotte NC/Rock Hill SC (subject of my signature xD) area, since I spent many years there, enjoyed it, and I like the urban environment :P
7) Places you'd like to visit someday: Japan, especially Tokyo, but that's the anime fan in me talking :P
8) Any siblings?: One brother, a year younger, and a sister about 12 years older.
9) Any businesses/companies you absolutely refuse to do business with?: I wish I could say Wal-Mart since it's a den of evil, but since the rest of the family seems fascinated with shopping there, I'm stuck... usually I'll just wait in the car and take a nap/read the maps and owner's manual in the glove compartment. Other ones include most import car brands, Burger King (their fries are awful), the Super 8/Days Inn/Holiday Inn motel chains (bad experiences at each, ranging from filthy rooms to smoke in the hallways to attempted fraud), and most Italian and Mexican restaurants since I'm allergic to 99% of their menu anyway.
10) Favorite types of video games: Anime-style RPG's, especially ones with mostly girl characters.
11) Clubs you're involved in at school: Residence Hall Association, Student Government/Senate, anime club, and a couple of the campus ministries. Residence Hall Association was really what I enjoyed because I got to plan all sorts of events for the students, vote on budgets, and travel to conferences.
12) Music you listen to: Mostly 80's pop, with a bit of late 90's pop and contemporary christian thrown in for a good mix. I don't really listen to anything modern though.

13) Favorite Color: Purple. It used to be blue, but somewhere along the way purple overtook it. Maybe because my college's colors were purple and orange xD

Wow, that's confusing... ours just stuffed everyone 7-12 in one building which I don't think is big enough, and started renting out the old middle school to others... and on top of that, the local community college branch moved from their new building at the edge of "town" to the much older former middle school xD Maybe because it's bigger, but they still have to share space with a county-run daycare center... my mom works part time in the K-2 "primary" school and she's always complaining about our "idiot" school superintendent.

Old, plus whoever owned it before us didn't know a thing about home repairs and maintenance. Paint is sloppy, the bathtub is a rustbucket, the caulking is a total mess, lots of places don't even have molding... it's so bad I feel dirty if I take my shoes off inside the house. I'd much rather be at our vacation home since that's only a few years old and is much nicer... not to mention that it's in a much nicer part of the country :P

I've lived a good part of my life in the suburbs, then BOOM! as soon as my dad retires we move to the middle of nowhere... big change and I never got used to really considering it "home" since I left for college a couple years after (yeah, they made me transfer schools midway through 10th grade... go figure...) I spent three years of my college life in the city of Charlotte, NC and would love to be able to return there... but that requires a job first and my luck with finding work has been miserable.

Yeah, I'd rather have a cat too. And that goes for my Pokemon teams as well :P
