  • Yup, it can be as long or short as you want, because you're not overwriting the original strings but in fact repointing to completely new strings. That's why A-Text is unsafe, because it simply overwrites the strings which can screw you over if you go over / under the original length.
Oh haha, you can request a fix for that in the thread, it doesn't count towards your name change limit.
Well in the games it's stated that they perform better when they feel affection towards you, so I guess so, yeah. Although the specifics were revealed after research/hacking and was posted on Bulbapedia and Serebii... etc.
Actually, the closer they are to you the better they perform in general, i.e landing more critical hits, evading enemy attacks, even refusing to faint if their affection and enjoyment are maxed out!
I can't wait to carry on with the game, right now I'm messing around with Pokemon-Amie and Wonder Trade. This isn't getting old tbh.

YES I KNOW HOENN IS BEST
Gen 5 is... a gray area for me. I don't wanna bash it because a lot of people loved it and I see no reason to rain on their parade. I'd have to be really butthurt to put effort into hating on something a lot of people loved, especially considering the fact that BW(2) were great games if you look at them simply as video games, whereas I felt they didn't exactly fit much with my take on the Pokemon franchise. The anime was a god damn abomination though.

But yeah, Gen 6 is just downright amazing. There's a lot of critique I can throw that way, like how easy X&Y are and how small the new roster of Pokemon is, but I'd be lying if I said any of that has hindered my enjoyment of the games. There is just so much that's magnificent about these games and the divinity they have achieved which honestly overshadows the downfalls.
The new Pokemon roster, however small, is beautiful. I love every single one of them down to the Mevolution designs.
The graphics/3D environments/Pokemon models/battle design/Kalos region are just, auohhhh, SO BEAUTIFUL UHHHHHHHAAAAA. LIKE, ummmpphh. Hnnnnng.
And the music OH MY GOD
And then, the best thing about these games is the fluidity of the gameplay and how all the elements come together in such a beautifully choreographed way that brings the heart of the Pokemon franchise to life. The adventure, the growth, raising your Pokemon, it all feels so immersing and real. I've put down 43 hours of gameplay right now and I only have 3 badges, and I regret nothing. I AM EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN MY TEAM AND THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY.
AND THE ANIME OH MY GOD
    AND RSE REMAKES.
    AGHHHHHH
    Hi!
Wellll, here's the thing. I don't exactly dislike gen 5 as much as I'd say I like to consider it a sort of spin-off. It was such a major departure from the formula we know and love, to the point where even the Pokemon designs felt way too cluttered and just... different. A lot of them were pretty cool though, but definitely not all.

I loved the story and Team Plasma was really nice, but there was way too big a focus on the story while somewhat neglecting the gameplay (another big departure).

Idk, gen 5 was mostly a filler gen for me. Thank god for gen 6.
