  • If that works for you that's all ok. ^_^

I do get the feeling your art is largely improvisation; getting stuff done with what you have available.
I have not heard that rumour.

Maybe, but one of her few lines of dialogue is literally "an assassin from our homeland, or a fool who trespasses on the waters of Qingce."
I don't know if all of the Lochfolk left Fontaine, but some definitely did - Rhodeia obviously did. They clearly didn't part on good terms either since she expects Focalors to send assassins after her.
it's really hard! it all comes back to understanding volume and how things interact with each other in space, which i think is something that some people have an innate understanding of and others have to work really hard at. i personally am not naturally super observant of such things so i have to try really hard to pay attention to it!
They'd all just be reduxes of Rhodeia though. More stuff in that style for sure, like the Thunder Manifestation having a similar appearance or more stuff with similar battle mechanics but more dialogue options, but no more actual lochfolk preferably. Although, some might show up as part of the Fontaine storyline outside of combat stuff which could be cool.
It seems I got a little ahead of myself. ^^"
Artists usually do their art in a "construction" style. They create the general pose by making a stick man. Then they use shapes like circles and rectangles to get the general figure. They use special lines to give everything a direction and help with proportions. The head, for example, starts as a circle and the middle of the face can be two lines shaping a + sign. That's useful if you want to have a more angled view, as well.
From there on it goes more and more into detail. And when everything is done they move to line art (with the aforementioned black pen), erasing the pencil stuff, coloring, shading, highlighting, etc.
An Oceanid that isn't Hydro seems kind of strange. The whole point of them is that they're water spirits.
oh thats fun! draw distance i think usually refers to rendering distance in games but i think maybe what you'd be looking for is more like.... depth of field. or like in camera terms, focal points
oh! sure, yeah, just letting things overlap rather than worry about showing everything! its a lot of thinking about perspective and planes haha
Probably something very inane. Regardless of the word though, that's an insane wordcount.
We'll see. I find it hard to believe Twitter is going to just up and vanish overnight. Which is good, because if it does it screws me over professionally.
best things to draw are always the things you are interested in showing ✨ if youre not interested its just such a slog
i won't tell ya not to but i'll also say thats boring as hell. better to do loose sketches of things that are actually interesting and you want to inprove on- there's lots of volume and simplified-shape based anatomy tutorials around. i watched a guy called uhhhh Proko?? for a little bit and he was alright but i really just aim for the ones that break down anatomy
