  • bbg= Best Boyfriend a Girl could ask for? O.o

haha kidding! I have no idea what bbg mean :P
Oh well, vale then. I'll be conectado this evening anyway if you want to hablar withmigo.
    MADNESS
I think most of the adequate singers won't do the contest due to other commitments (tours and stuff), some opinions on the contest (Paul Weller probably wouldn't touch it with a bargepole, but who knows...) or just because they won't.

We should send someone like... Hmm... Ed Sheeran would be OK at it, I guess.
I am tempted to wonder why we chose Engelbert at all... I mean, yes, he is a great talent that we should be proud of, but... His heyday was ages ago in the past. We should really have had a more modern artist (or at least a still known household name). Just can't think of any. I bet if we had chosen someone like that we could have had a better chance on the actual night.
Moldova's performance had a hint of superb writing (and I did research, the name of the song was well chosen too), and was oddly dancable. I will admit though, I think that Sweden did deserve to win, as her song was oddly good, and her dancing... Mesmerising.
True. I don't get why they should be motivated by politics, as music is such a trivial thing anyway, it's not like people singing will prevent wars for goodness sake.

To give them credit, Jedward actually were pretty good. Arguably their best performance and way better than Engelbert Humperdink who just sounded out of tune. Jedward managed to not be as annoying as before and deliver a good performance. (Though, my favourite was Moldova's, with that man singing and those women in the really... "Stylish" dresses doing weird dances)
Eh, again that is debatable. There have actually been loads of allegations of politically motivated votes (which sometimes can be disproved but some votes are just strange). As for singing in a national language, I dunno. I say let the singers choose, as it won't bring too much diversity regardless if done so wrong (take 2012's, there were a few in that countries' language, but it didn't sound too much different from people like Whitney Houston to some extent due to the nature of the song they chose). I will admit one thing though, Eurovision did make me actually like a Jedward song.
No, I'm just disillusioned as some great acts just don't get the votes they deserve

To be fair, they didn't want to make fun of it, they chose to appear as they wanted to sing. Why should a singing competition be some sort of competition for a countries fame anyway? It just doesn't seem right in my opinion.
... Yes, it is such a magnificent corruption competition.

The thing is, songs should be fun, music that is to boost a countries profile just doesn't sit right with me. Hence why I loved Lithuania's entry that year. Just there to have fun (and some... epileptic dancing by one member...)
I think I preferred Lithuania's 2006 entry for Eurovision than those that made sense, mainly as they just took the event and satirised it.
I voted for that song in the national vote to choose our representative.

It was the best song of the bunch period.
Now THAT'S a hot name also!! Moar pics of her!!

I'm heading out to see the Dark Knight Rises & Rock of Ages, tty2morrow!
