I would disagree with you, and in fact challenge you to two matches in X/Y in both a singles and doubles format should you find the time.

Well I'll agree they're not usually ideal to use, and while I already know how the moves work - as well as exactly how powerful they are compared to other moves without such harsh drawbacks, they do have uses. And if you can't see that because of they way you play, or lack of being shown how to use them in play, I feel bad for your missing out on another part of pokemon in ignoring their existence.

I can see how that sort of thing would make tournaments interesting, but it's just not for me...I'd rather just play with what I want, how I want. The Pokemon I like are spread across the tiers; I'm not going to stop myself from using one just because other people have decided it doesn't fit in that tier. If it's in the game, it's fair game, as far as I'm concerned. So I don't play competetively anymore.

It's the meticulous structuring and data-mining that puts me off as well, actually. Banning, tiers, clauses...I'd rather just play the game my own way and not bother with these things. xD
I've never actually been on Smogon before, though. Even when I was playing a lot online in Gen IV, I didn't get really into it like that. Seems more trouble than it's worth~

Too much hassle. I don't mind EV training now with Super Training, but I don't have the patience to breed for perfect IVs, etc. Plus everyone uses more or less the same thing in competetive battling...it's dull for me. I get my extra hours out of Pokemon games by filling my boxes with one of everything. xD

Ohhh, I see. I hadn't thought about battle facilities, actually - I'll probably draw up a team and sweep through them with it once I see what is in it. Thanks to Super Training it won't take too long. xD

Going to start with a pre-bred team, then? I'll probably go with what I catch...the stuff on the routes can't possibly be as bad as Black's early routes, after all. xD
I'm getting Smash 4 for Wii U...I found the 3DS demo horribly clunky and awkward. I'm more used to the Gamecube controller setup.

That's still an awfully long time, though! I can't get hyped for games that far ahead in advance; the wait drives me crazy if I do. I prefer to just let the release dates creep up on me...although the only problem with that approach is that I'm usually right in the middle of another game at that point.

Not really thinking about it, to be honest - 25 days between now and then, and there are other games coming out before then that I'm more interested in. But I guess I'm still looking forward to it. xD

Oh, it gets Ancient Power? Then yeah, that is the better option.

I still think that Eruption is an option though in Trick Room, particularly on Battle Spot Doubles where you don't use a full party and Mega Zard Y is common. There's a lot of power behind a full HP Eruption. It should at least tear holes in the opposing team.

I think I've played through it 3 or 4 times. Trying to space it out so it doesn't get too boring too quick. I'm LOVING Mega Sceptile though, so awesome. How far have you gotten?
