Alright, on the right you should have another window opened [Channels, Paths, Undo...] that shows the different layers. Your stock image that you have, you'll need to right click on its layer and near the bottom click "Add Alpha Channel." After this is done, you can Select All and use the eraser to get rid of the background not needed or you can use the fuzzy tool, then click edit, then cut. Simple enough so far?

Oh there is a way to get rid of the background of a picture, and the resizing icon will help with making the image smaller. I'll explain more if you would like.

For a first it is pretty good. I'd try to make the main character of the banner stand out more and not try and make it overly blurred or it just hurts the eyes. Sound good?

As for Sims 3, my laptop can't play it. But I don't really care. I still haven't played through all of Sims 2 (I'm only on the second generation of my legacy), and there's still an expansion pack for TS2 that I still need to get. So I'm sticking with TS2 for a long while.
