  • I'm definitely the same way. I respect what other people believe in and what their customs are, but I hate when these people impose their beliefs onto me, which I guess is why I never get involved in these controversial debates that much (gay marriage, religion, evolution, stuff like that). I remember my mom once asked me if I was gay, and she said if I was that it was fine because we could go see a therapist. This was like 6 or 7 years ago, so I don't blame her for not knowing what to do, but here I am, still closeted, although I'm sure she's a lot more accepting now than she was back then. And adoption is definitely a great thing! I don't really think I want to be a parent, but more couples need to adopt nowadays because there are plenty of poor, neglected children that need homes. :[

We're southern neighbors, haha! :P I, myself, believe in God and have my faith, and I know what you mean! Everyone resorts to their religion to make their actions justifiable. It's so annoying. I really don't like getting involved because I know I'll never win. It's very hard to change someone's mindset when it comes to those types of topics. I just find it funny how most people in this country think that the president is responsible for everything that happens here, when, in fact, he's only the person who signs laws into action. Congress is essentially ruling this country, yet poor Obama receives the blame for everything. I can't stand it, and I think it's appropriate to say this now, but if Romney would have been elected, people would be do the same thing, too.

I love everything on the radio right now, but I feel as though they overplay certain songs, which in turn leads me to start hating a few songs lol. But other than that, I really like jamming out to the radio while driving lol. I'm a fan of Pitbull (maybe because he was born in Miami), but a lot of people don't like him for some reason. I think it's because he's featured in virtually every song out there lol, but I don't mind him much. I love practically every pop/mainstream artist out there. Call me a hipster. xD

I'm glad you had a great day! :] I did, too, well, it was just a typical Saturday for me doing homework and whatnot, but hey. <3

Nothing you said in that thread offended me... it's just that some people see autism as being "horrid" and worthy of being labeled the R-word. I had a heck of a time in school, even in Special Ed-I was put there in Headstart by request of the teacher, who had been told by my mother upon enrolling me there about my condition.

If I was to go into the education sector myself, I'd probably do secondary social studies, focusing on civics and economics (which are my two big things). But I don't think I could handle all the work and stress to prepare for it and the career itself. However, I've thought a few times of running for my local school board (LakeVille Community Schools, which I graduated from) just as a passing thought, but I don't think anybody would even vote for me.

I started getting bullied more and more as I went into higher grades-and even when I went to my regional vocational center (GASC Technology Center in Flint, which is run by the Flint city school district, which is notorious for student achievement and safety problems, as well as an incident where their school board let in a known child molester for a curriculum director), which I didn't learn much of anything from the computer repair and networking classes I took there (Sidebar: my dad went to that same vocational school, taking carpentry, and told me he ended up teaching the class because of how poor quality the course was.)
Every now and then, I wish I could've attended a different vocational center (Lapeer County Ed-Tech, which I actually live less than 20 miles away from (and even rode my bike out by there a few times during the summer), and which I hear their students received several awards in various occupational areas measured by SkillsUSA over the years.)
xD Omg, you'd make the perfect mother! & I agree. Times are changing and so are ideals, which is a really great thing. If I were straight, it wouldn't phase me at all whether my child was gay or not. You're born with it.. and you can't change it, even if you're threatened with the typical "let's go see a therapist" talk. >.< I understand the whole wanting to be grandparents thing. I think every parent deserves a chance to be grandparents, but I, myself, can't really help it, you know? lol xD

I live in the South, too! Well, not technically the "true" South, but I do live in Florida (specifically Miami). And I know what you mean! It's especially bad down in these states. >.< I feel like everyone is so radical. I always see fights breaking out on FB, especially when incidents like what happened in Boston come about, and it's disgusting. To see people fighting while the country is in a super vulnerable position is really horrifying. Another big issue we have is people criticizing Obama for everything. If you don't like him, well, I'm sorry, but he's the president for the next four years... don't bash him for every stupid little thing. People think it's appropriate to lash out at him during these incidents that just occurred, which is super rude and insensitive. :| I'm always on FB replying back to these people in anger... >.< It just seems like instead of the country coming together during times of terror, everyone continues to pester and criticize everything, and, like you said, everything suddenly turns political, too. I will never understand it..

Pop culture is definitely great, although people are so quick to judge it.. >.< Hehe, I love all the genres too, except for like country and most rap/hiphop nowadays. I think coworkers are the reason why most people are able to get through their days at their jobs lol. Also, I'm sure it's pretty busy when you have buffet night just because people love that feeling of being able to eat all they want without restriction. It's actually kinda sad to think that. haha.

I'm kinda late in answering this, so I hope you had a great day, and if I'm not on by the time you reply to this, then hope you have a great night! :]
I am back after 6 months and givin' up pokemon after my ds broke and started
Minecraft. I may return in the future. But until then I may post everyone and a while so, hi ,I havn't seen you in a while.

I was reading back at the autism thread, particularly your posts there (since I see you're going into elementary and special education), and thinking of myself that because of my autism (yes I had to come out of the closet and say this), I am incredibly prone to angry, hateful outbursts, both in real life and on message boards, such as my recent outburst in the Boston marathon thread. I know I don't think things through before saying them, and that's pretty bad.

Then again, the war on autism, IMO, is about as effective as the wars on drugs, guns, obesity, terrorism, and illiteracy (excuse me for sounding like ShinyUmbreon or FreakyLocz for saying this stuff.)
We need more people like you in the world, accepting and willing to show support to something that hasn't necessarily impacted you personally. <3 And yeah, parents are much harder to tell than friends, especially because they already have these preconceived notions about being grandparents and seeing their kids married, etc... gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'll get there. :] I feel like parents deserve to know before friends, so I'll probably be telling mine first before anyone else.

Oh yeah, I watched it because it was all so nerve-racking. It's been one hell of a week for this country, and I hope things start getting better because we're leading down this path into... you know what. lol. I don't want to be pessimistic, though, because I love this country and will do anything to support it, but things have been chaotic as of late...

He always sounds like a stoner when he raps. I'm not really into rapping or his music, but I love pop culture and pop songs and mainstream songs and the list goes on lol. That's so cool! Hopefully it won't be busy tonight for you. Do you like it? Also, I love and hate buffets, haha, because you don't stop eating until it's too late, and then by then, you have gained like 5 pounds. xD
Actually, that's a pretty good idea, especially since they probably have no idea who she is! Hahaha :P
Yeah, I guess the day will come soon enough. & that was probably so awkward for you! Lmao. I think the biggest part about coming out is not the actual "coming out" part, but the whole not knowing what the reaction of the person you're coming out to will be. That's probably what's been holding me back. :|

Yeah, I probably saw about five different interviews yesterday where they asked his friends questions and they all admitted that he was just a typical kid going to college and whatnot. It's really scary that you can't trust anyone nowadays. >.< I think I remember the news saying that the bigger brother actually had a criminal record and had a harder time assimilating within the U.S., which leads me to believe that he played a larger role in this than the younger one, or that the younger one was lured into this somehow by the bigger brother. Hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

    I just had it on repeat a few minutes ago actually. :P It's definitely good. & yeah, I prefer to hear Ariana's parts over Mac's parts. Idk, the rapping just doesn't fit the song, and it always seems like every new song released nowadays has ridiculous rap parts in them that ruins them. >.< And oh no! That's like really soon lol. What do you do, if you don't mind me asking? :P And that sounds like fun, haha, unless you're planning it all, of course. x;
I'm hoping it comes soon, too. :[ There's this part of me that really pushes me to want to be myself, and then there's this other part that is holding me back. There are some days where I just want to tell the world about my sexuality, but I can never find the courage to just say do exactly that. :| I'm proud of who I am and who I've become, but I want to be able to be myself around everyone. I hate hiding it, and I also hate people asking me these super awkward questions like when I'm getting a girlfriend and stuff. lolol. Courage is all I need now. :]

Well, you're definitely right that it would have been better if both were alive and in custody right now, but hey, at least we can try and get information out of one. I have a feeling that the older brother kinda motivated the younger one to do all this, but I'm not entirely sure. In the end, though, the younger one has to take responsibility for his actions and regardless of whatever reason he gives about why he did all this, his crimes and actions will never be justified.

OMG. Your avatar beautiful. I have a crush on Ariana Grande! xD She's so adorable. Have you heard her new song with Mac Miller? I just want to hug her. So cute lol. :] Seems like a pretty relaxing Saturday for you! I'm just studying for a few tests I have next week. Same old, same old. School runs my life, lol.
