  • I am a big rock/punk guy. It's kind of weird though.

being seen as a rock guy and a heavy metal dude, then you play pokemon :D
Actually, scratch that bit about Uxie Lv. X. Gardevoir Lv. X and Mewtwo Lv. X are far and away my favorite Lv. X cards in terms of capabilities and appearance, with Raichu Lv. X a distant third, but well ahead of the rest of the pack.
I think Uxie Lv. X is probably my favorite Lv. X in terms of appearance. Or any of the other Psychic type Lv. X cards, really. Kinda biased toward any shiny Psychic type card.

I'd like the Umbreon, myself, as it would complement the Espeon and put me a card closer to completing a set (I don't think I've completed any set, yet).

Using misleading color sleeves is a favorite tactic of mine!
No it doesn't! Goob. It's just the same with better graphics and it's faster paced. But I have to pick up something 1st gen so I can start. I have HG, Emerald, Platinum, and BW/BW2. Just missing the starting point haha. Oh, but I will go check out the challenge. Emblems sound nice to have.
I'm only really a fire starter guy in gen I and II.. Grass in III and IV.. water in V ha. So.. I was going to do red, but only have the emulator available atm. And the dang thing isn't letting my bugs learn their new moves when they evolve.. making them useless. Will have to wait and find a hard copy or switch to fire red. Arrg.
Because they're shiny, obviously! :P But they really do have a different foil pattern from other cards. They've got 3 foil sideways arches behind the text of the card.
Salamence from Arceus is pretty freaking awesome by itself. If there's one Lv. X card worth playing for fun though, it's Salamence Lv. X, as it's got a pretty cool Poke-Power:

I ran a deck with 2 Salamence and 2 Salamence Lv. X. Somehow I ended up with 5 Salamence Lv. X in all the boosters of that set I bought, only getting Tangrowth Lv. X of all the other Lv. Xs and none of the 3 shining Pokemon cards in the set.

I wouldn't count any of the World's deck cards because they lack the holofoil shininess of the original card. I don't have a clue what other shiny version Pokemon I have in the cards other than those 3.

I have a brand I would recommend. What color are you looking for? You can get pink, purple, red, green, gold, brown, blue, black, orange, white, and... several other colors, I think. You can also get the official patterned sleeves from the Pokemon TCG, but not in the brand I'm about to recommend. The brand I recommend is Dragon Shield.
Would have done fire, being it's my favorite type, but I wanted more of a challenge. Bug will be fun.. will be hard to not use Cyndiquil on silver, though D:
At least it was the last DPPt era set, which means it had the 9 different types of Arceus in it, which are an exception to the only 4 of a card rule. You can have as many Arceus as you want in a deck! never tried it, though, since it was a slow deck in competitive play That promo Pikachu is a freaking awesome Pikachu. Probably my favorite HGSS promo card, even above the shiny legendary beast trio promo cards.

Which sleeve brand do you buy? I can recommend some brands that have different textures on the backside. Are they smooth or is it kind of a rough surface?
