    XD Speaking of Michael Jackson, I still can't believe my favorite anime Black Cat might have gotten inspiration from Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal video. Dang it, there's a black cat in there! XD;
    What, seriously! I never knew that and Black Cat was one of my favorites too...

    Ladies and gents, I'd hate to shamelessly advertise, but my next experiment is now up. Have fun. It took me five minutes to get the titles to be pretty.
    Seen it, *sob* abandoned by their parents creators at the moment they were conceived, i.e. zygote such a young age. I'd hate for my fic too go there.

    Orphanage for baby plots... Doing charity work, eh Val?

    First question in bold posted in like a week or something, to my knowledge. Seeing as I'm to lazy/uninformed/r-tarded to join whatever chat is happening :3

    How do changes in the real world effect your writing?
    Ah hell, a lot. I get most of my writing done in the earliest hours of the morning, and I can't do that anymore with school in four weeks. I'd probably sneak in a couple nights a week, but my writing will have to be moved to the day, which I'm a little worse with ;_;

    Uh... sure, yeah. *closes the door to the sweatshop quietly*

    Val, that thread is just genius. I will be visiting regularly.

    Thanks. I hope more people do. =D It's always interesting reading about other people's plot ideas.

    And, also, uh, "getting inspired" from them.

    That said...

    How do changes in the real world effect your writing?
    Unfortunately, adversely. If I start working or going to school, I end up producing stuff at a slower pace. Anyone else notice I had, like, three chapters of AEM done when I had nothing better to do and only one or two when I do have something else I should be doing?

    'Course, I have my reasons. I can't exactly write at work, and during the school year, my word processor is being used for papers. O_x

    Like, lots. If I have school and other real life stuff are in the way, the chapters come a bit slower. However, because this year I only have four chapters left to post and I wanted to have the story be completed before the Angels and Demons movie comes out, I tried to have the chapters posted every couple of weeks. XD

    I try to not let real-life stuff affect my writing in terms of literally writing things; even if I am going through some tough times, I still try to write something, at least, be it a totally strange new chapter that I may or may not use or some random one-shot. As for the story ideas and whatnot, I don't think that real life affects them all that much.

    At the moment it's school holidays, so I get lots of writing done. When I'm at school, I get less done, naturally.
    >_>

    No, I can't think of anything useful to write.

    I'd like to say that I write more during holidays, but the sad truth is that when school is in session, I'm always ahead at least one chapter and I'm always ready to write when I have to. During the summer, however, I have so much free time on my hands, I keep putting writing off in the excuse that "Oh, I can just do it tomorrow / tonight."

    It's very frustrating. <_<

    Actually, Dagzar, you're right. I hadn't really thought of that. I have all day, every day, to write, but I spend most of it just surfing. I could have written five chapters last week if I'd gotten down to it, but I only did one!

    Unfortunately, I'm practically at school all year in terms of access to computer. For the first half of the summer (this half) I have to go to day camp Monday through Friday, and it's the same hours as an average day of school. So at least you guys have all day to procrastinate... Of course, after the half ends I'll be on a camping trip for a week, but after that I should have a lot more time on my hands.

    There really aren't any changes. I could say that since I've been able to play my Sims again, I now feel like writing for a particular fandom, but that happens all the time.

    But I keep the same schedule, and write the same amount as I always do, no matter what.

    Also, because the plot bunny exchange is called the orphanage, I am now calling all plot bunnies posted in that thread "EAxis ugly."

    Now I think about it for a while, the question could be interpreted multiple ways. Big events iin the world influence my writing as well. When the recession started, I wrote this little comedy skit about a rich guy going broke. When there's positive change in the world, I write happy stuff. When there's negative change, I write wangst.

    That's a good point, SD, which makes this a pretty awesome question, actually.

    Alas, my answer for that dimension is "it doesn't affect me that much," in part because I have an unfortunate habit of rarely paying attention to the news (and never mixing the mood of the real world with my writing when I do). XD Last time I did that... it just wasn't pretty.

    Also, to Asty... Does this mean that one of the orphans can be Val Wiggin? *ducks!*

    What with wars, famine, terrorism and recessions, I can see why one wouldn't want their writing to take an adverse turn. There'd be no going back with all the doom and gloom in the world today.

    Then you can have your chosen one (aka orphan), come into play with all the world's major happenings XD and knock in some Pokemon to legitimize it XD

    To be honest, there's always been doom and gloom. Some people capitalized on it by writing some deep, philosophical story with messages heavily laden in sociological observation or some other BS like that, like in most sci-fi (unfortunately). Some people used it to come up with stuff that's completely the opposite of the global mood to take people's minds off the fact that life is ****, like in the screwball comedies of the Great Depression and the reality shows of today.

    And then you have others who just say the hell with the outside world and write whatever they feel like writing. XD

    ooo then we could add in "and then" moments, where every turn is a plot device in of itself. Similar to Armageddon, only that is so much overkill that you no longer know why you are still reading it.

    And then . . . it was revealed that the bad guys had Pokemon as well, that had come through a portal in the Egyptian desert three days previously!
