I'd beg you to please bother me until I read the Treaty, please. I keep hering claims about this but it seems nobody in Spain is aware of that. Or maybe it's just that we don't really care. But I know that the EU wrote a set of addendums stating that:
a) Ireland will keep sovereignty in matter of legal issues such as education, abortion or family politics
b) That no State agreeing to the Treaty will be given Monetary instructions other than the Euro management ones, ruled by the European Central Bank since 1999 (so no changes there)
c) That Ireland will keep all the Military sovereignty, being allowed to stay neutral despite whatever the EU says when facing a war (it won't be allowed to attack the other EU countries, though)
d) That the EU won't interefere with any the current worker's rights given by the Irish laws
(Source: El País, trying to find an English source so you can read it as well XD)
Where did you hear these claims? You are not the first one I hear saying that the EU is basically going to destroy the current governments everywhere, and it's weird that I have only heard guys from the British Islands saying so ._.;
