  • You're from Ohio and Massachusetts? Which one do you live in (not that'd I'd have a clue where it is, the US is huge), I'm from England, which is smaller than some states...

Internet on your phone? Very fancy indeed, the speakers on my phone don't even work yet alone the internet.

But yeah, recording is awesome, I really recommend you try it, start a band, record some ****, rock the world, thats my plan =D

I kinda sing, a little bit, but I'm well aware that I'm out of tune at times, so I just stick to screaming down a microphone at college to scare the **** out of the people there =D

Thanks, merry Chirstmas to you too! (Your christmas dinner will start before mine, damn time zones)
    Dude, recording is AWESOME!
Unfortunately the drummer forgot his camera so we didn't get any footage of it, but, instead that gives me a chance to ramble on about it to you...

Theres two rooms, a recording room and a control room, first the drummer and bassist went into the room to record their parts while the singer and I played in the control room to guide them (convinently we were able to hear them through huge speakers and they could hear us without us being on their recordings through the help of soundproof walls and headphones)

The drums and bass were recorded together, I think it tooks us a while to adjust to playing in a different enviroment as we messed up a few times (to the point of the drummer shouting "YEAHHHHH!!!!!" when he and the bassist had recorded perfectly), we started at 10 and had the drums and bass recorded for 2 songs by 1, we then took an hour for lunch. After sitting down eating chips (french fries if you're American, actually, I haven't asked you this yet, asl?) we returned to record the guitar and vocals, I had a fender stratocaster and a marshall amp to work with, I was in heaven. After the guitar was finished, which took a while due to a few timing issues and the fact that I hadn't finalised the guitar solo on one of the songs the vocals were recorded, I'm not sure why but the singer sounded a lot higher than usual, although that's probably because of the difference in acoustics between the recording room and my garage.

After recording was done, the drummer recorded his backing vocals and we spent the last hour or two editing, unfortunately I don't think we spent enough time on the editing part as, well, the songs just aren't finished yet, I can barely hear the bass and the whole songs are really quiet. Although I did enjoy running out in the snow to buy some rewritable CD's, for some reason I found that really exciting.

Anyhoo, these aren't the final edits but it's nice to share what we do have, so without further ado www.myspace.com/lucianslullaby, I'll be honest I won't blame you if you don't like them, I think what we have will always remain as demos and we'll spend some time working on the writing and try to save more time for editing.

As for an actual description of the rooms, the control room had two lovely sofas for us to sit down on and a massive mixing desk with a dual screen computer infront of floor to celing windows, there was a mic and amp in there so we could provide the bassist and drummer with guides, the control room was quite small but really cozy, and neat and tidy.

The recording room basically consisted of a drum kit, a pair of amps (guitar and bass) and a mic, with a small locker in the corner where they kept all their equipment.

Wow, I can really ramble on lol
