Fortunately, the chance for Sylveon to become OU is not that high. On the other hand, the Japanese tier listing, aka pseudo-official tier listing, doesn't work the same way like Smogon. So... :(

Goodra has Sludge Bomb, Dragonite, Garchomp(?) and Salamence sorta have Iron Tail.
I feel sorry for Hydreigon's typing tho...
He doesn't have Dragonite's DW Ability to accompany him...

I think it was intended to make Fairies to be more supportive.
First of all if they are all attackers, they will end up dominating competitive play like Psychic in Gen I and Dragon afterwards.
Secondly, it's difficult to imagine/create a Fairy that looks like an all out attacker. So most of them ended up as supporter or defender, interesting to note that the majority of offensive Fairy are the ones who received retcon like Gardevoir, Togekiss etc...

I love Klefki and Carbink. :) They have great defensive stats, especially for the latter one. :)

I once saw a person ranting how his Dragonite lost to a Fairy, and saying that Fairy type dominates the whole type now. Which is obviously not true, my Goodra can even kill a Modest 31 IV + 252 S.A, Mega Gardevoir, well of course with the right prediction. I personally think that the Fairy addition really did make the competitive more fair than ever. Plus pseudo-legends are STILL pseudo-legends: meaning they are still MVP. {:3}
