Oh yeah I agree completely, matches the sugimori artwork better as well.
To be honest the colours you used just look better full stop. As opposed to the obnoxious bright blue.
I changed the HGSS Tyranitar to match the palette you used for the master sheet one.

Just let me know which one you like better. To be completely honest I like them both, the BW one I think is generally more proportioned but feels a little small, while the HGSS has a nicer pose IMO but feels a little fat.

Ah, I see what you mean. I was just saying that since his RBG team had an incomplete moveset for Exeggutor and because of other factors I figured it would be the most difficult battle in-game, and therefore be geared from an almost competitive standpoint. I see where you're coming from on this, though, and I like the idea quite a lot

The Dragonite thing was because most people would imagine the Prof as being the grandmaster type deal. I see where you're coming from with his team, and I think that it seems very balanced, and is pretty well what you'd imagine from the Prof. I assume you're going to build the team as if it were built for Gen III competitive? Fire Blast/ExtremeSpeed Arcanine, Dragon Dance Gyarados, etc? And I like the way you're thinking with building the team, so I'm certain you'll do it well. Also, as the Gen I Prof, it is quite understandable that Oak would only have Gen I Pokémon, and seems quite fitting. And I never intended to come off as saying the fight should be mandatory, as that idea is almost scary, because I was imagining something around the high 60s, low 70s. Perhaps tiered like the E4 so that after a certain number of battles he becomes comparable to Red on Mt. Silver in difficulty. I'm really glad you liked my idea, and can't wait to see it happen

Thanks, man. I was just kind of perusing the hacks section for the first time in like five months and remembered you had DarkViolet. Seeing as how it was a custom-make of Kanto the idea of fighting Oak at the end greatly appealed to me because I always thought it would be neat.
And actually, in the opening scene Oak says the starters had all recently hatched from eggs, so the idea of him having the parents wouldn't be too Farfetch'd (I'm sorry, but I have a love/hate with that pun). And if he had all three starters you could do something like Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Magnezone, Alakazam, and Tauros. That way it keeps with the original theme, and incorporates some mixed types. Magnezone would be good because it emphasizes your expansion on Generation I, and Alakazam is just always a good addition if you ask me lol I'd love to hear your opinion on this because the idea interests me greatly. Just please don't be throwing any Dragonites in the mix, I'm too young to die

ahha sure no worries! Yeah I get what you mean, I just figured it wasn't a huge deal because BW Bagon and Shelgon were the same size which I found weird :P

In terms of working on Darkviolet no Thats your project but remaking hgss into a fire red that idea has been something I planned on doing a while back, just wanted to see if you could give any tips on your hacking tools but I figured it out and started my own from scratch its finished up to lavender town. :/

Alright, I was just curious and that was on my mind some time and I just wanted to get an answer instead of questioning it everytime I see the thread though. I do like the current state of DarkViolet a lot better then the older version of DarkViolet, and definately better than some other hacks here. Anyway, good luck with completing your hack!

Hey, I know you said to never VM/PM you unless you VM/PM us first but I have a quick question regarding your hack. I've been here since the beginning of April, 2010. I know that information is useless but I remember seeing the first DarkViolet (or at least I think it was the first reincarnation) and you mentioned a lot about how the hack will be in a series of four hacks, covering the first four regions. Are you still going to do that now or just stick with just DarkViolet?
