  • I believe it was mentioned once, and indirectly a few times. But yes, he was the leader of the psychic tribe and one of the original gold tribe members
    Hey, just wanted to let you know I finished my drafts for the SU's. Did you want me to run them by you before I posted in the thread? I'm going based on my interpretation of the info, so I don't know if it would exactly fit in with the given scenario.
    it's not activity it's lack of motivationnnn ;;

    (if noone else is active I become inactive as well)
    MAYBE

    (I seriously need people to shout at me for being inactive though ACCOUNTABILITY IS A GOOD THING)
    overdosing on information is a valid point that I realized myself as well, after the fact; I guess I'm just concerned that people won't have enough information to make their characters because of how little they know about the world. I mean if you think about it, there's so much stuff that you learn by growing up, and it's not at all easy to simulate someone who's lived in a world even moderately dissimilar from modern earth. maybe I should just add MORE INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON REQUEST and post only the bare essentials. (re: world-building, though, I meant behind the scenes as I actually haven't done much work on the things I've talked about, and winging it is a bit harder for me than other people)

    finding players on a dedicated rp site probably would be easier, if solid rp sections on the internet weren't already a rarity... most places I see are just flat-out bad. it really depends though, a lot of tabletop players are decent rpers - I've played d&d with a group for 7 years now and they're all fine rpers (plus our dm is a plotting mastermind).
    one problem with the second incarnation was that the game never actually started because not everyone finished their signups INCLUDING ME BECAUSE REASONS ;_; plus we were missing one player (and it's not like quality was assured anyway ... unless it's QUALITY '-'); maybe I need to post more regularly in the ooc thread, but from what I could gather not a lot of people were interested in the setting in the first place, so the choice among SUs was essentially nonexistent.

    I should actually narrow it down to three or four players if I were to reimplement (and acquire instant messaging info after game begins) - this might make getting people together easier, and also enable players to shout at me if I'm being inactive.

    I better write my own su before I post it, or just not play if I were to make another rp. yeah.

    regarding how fleshed out litany is though, there's a loooot of room to flesh it out more. politics, economy, socio-cultural aspects, that kinda thing.
    maybe someday, but is there even enough interest is the real question ;_;

    if I were to do so I'd probably flesh out the background even more. and maybe work on a new layout.

    I actually have like, two more semi-crazy rp ideas that will likely not draw interest either; lack of players sucks aaa (generic-dynasty ancient China - maybe Song because of the culture? - in which mythological creatures exist, an adventure kinda thing, but the main barrier would be knowledge; and highschool slice of life interaction rp as a kind of experiment - with a semi-hidden overarching plot, but this would have to be played by a dedicated team because school-w/-superpowers is such a popular genre in the rpc nowadays).

    actually I might draw up a draft of that ancient China rp thingy and post it to critique and then discussion. why not.
    Oh snap, it's baaaaaack~

    I'm tempted to change my name but it's just too awesome to change. Maybe a one-letter modification to Citrus as a gimmick...
    Oh also out of curiosity how'd your name get changed, I see so many names that I should but don't recognize now o.o;
    Y hallo thar, hope this isn't too late. Yes you can use my css. Do you want the code or what :v
    I'm not that great at math. I understand basic algebra pretty well, but once the more advanced stuff comes, I'm completely lost. I thought of testing out, but by the time I realized that the entire class would be review, a week had gone by. If I were to test out, I would either be a week behind in the math class I would be learning new stuff in (which is never a good thing), or I would just not take math this quarter, again. Since math is a use it or lose it skill, I just decided to stick with it. I've made a few friends in that class already, so that helps a lot.
    Aww shucks! :V

    I have to take these math classes. I have to meet the minimum requirements (which I aren't sure what they are at the moment!). I'm currently in math 94, but I should be in math 98. During the placement test I scored a perfect score in the 94 section, but failed the 98 section by half a point. With the way my college does their placement scores, they want to squeeze as much money as possible so they put you in the math class you last passed. So, I'm currently going through a huge review. On the bright side, the math class has now turned into my planning for writing projects time. I just tune out and write in my notebook while the teacher lectures. It's the only way I can get through it. XD
    I like helping people with their writing and none of my teachers did anything except essay writing. So, I would like to teach people how to improve their writing overall and opening doors to creative writing that were never opened to me. I missed out on a lot of help I could have gotten if my LA teachers opened that door and I don't plan on making the same mistake.
    I spend around five hours at school too. Well, three of those hours are in classes. I have a two hour break between my Econ class and the Intro to Education class, so that's where I get my math done.

    I'm currently exploring around and seeing what interests me, but I'm really looking into becoming a high school LA teacher.
    All of my professors make it a goal to have at least two hours of homework for every hour in class. It can get pretty rough at times, but I'm skating through my math class right now giving minimal effort and getting A's, so I only spend half an hour for math. I really hope some of this stuff pays off in the future. I doubt I'll use the math, but my intro to education class seems pretty informative. What are you taking?
