He, Zel. Its me again. I reached the final part on Shiny Gold that you have up on the beta right now, and I must say I'm ecstatic for B6's release. Oh yeah, I was reading over the errors, and I think I know the problem for one of them. I'm not sure if you've been told this already, but apparently the whole "name change" thing for your character that messes up the pokemon's obedience has to deal with the way you use Code Breaker/Gameshark codes on your emulator. I was testing out some codes, and I noticed after I used a few codes incorrectly and progressed, there would be a pokemon that just comes up as "???". Shortly after, the D was talking out of GOLD and the obedience thing happened. So yeah, one of the reasons, if not THE reason, the name change thing occurs is using a code incorrectly.

Yeah, yeah, I know that table. It's just that I tend to use a "surprising" move over a neutral move that takes advantage of stats (maybe because that's the way I play the game)

And usually those nice movesets are reserved for the extra trainers (only that they keep improving their movesets as the game progresses, so some of their movesets are still not definitive. For example, the Cursing Miltank will be something "copyrighted" by Carlos' hellcow, and not by any other trainer's cow in SG... :P)

Zel, actually I was bringing up Hidden Power Zapdos as an example since I couldn't think of anything else.

Actually one mistake in the sets is that some attacks go off the lower Attack stat of the pokemon - like Alakazam with Psychic and Shadow Ball, Shadow Ball hits for little damage since Alakazam has a low Attack stat, whilst in contrast a Special Attack would make Alakazam more difficult to deal with.

For reference, here are the types that run off different Attack stats, Attack and Special Attack:

Attack: Fighting, Normal, Rock, Ghost, Ground, Bug, Poison, Steel, Flying
Special Attack: Fire, Water, Grass, Ice, Electric, Dragon, Dark, Psychic

(Actually I would like to stick Curse on Miltank, Swords Dance on Scyther and such but they're already hard to begin with =* )

spaceboy: Well, Uni vacations start around the start of July, though more than vacations, it's just that period of exams when you get to pick when you'll be doing the exams. Not a real vacation unless you do everything quickly and approve.

trebuh: There's not a single program, it's just a bunch of different tools for different stuff. The most important tools are four: Advance Map; Elite Map (mainly for its sub-tools); an scripting program (people usually pick Pokescript); and an hex editor (that depends on you, I use two: Thingy and Cygnus Free edition)
With those four you can already do a lot of stuff. But I'm not gonna get into details. Just explore them on your own first.

Now, about what you wanted, I dont have problems, but as always say: "Are you really sure about using stuff from another hack, wouldnt it be more fun if you were to create something original on your own?", because that's what basically defines a rom hacker.
If you still want to use stuff from the hack, as long as it's stuff not only in B5, then go ahead.
