  • Also, I can't believe I'm saying it but this song fits Wallace(and to a lesser degree Steven Stone) perfectly:

    RkwyQZXzdF8

I blame the recent marathon of Phineas&Ferb XD
I haven't watched the video yet but I haven't bought a Pokemon game since my Generation 1 days when I was still in Middle School(when Yellow came out). Friend bought Gold version and hence I got a taste of what Johto and Generation 2 was like but since that day, I've largely been ignorant of the Pokemon gaming scene(hence abilities, natures, IV's/EV's and all that strategy stuff I have like ZERO knowledge on in addition to the 600+ Pokemon that have debuted since then. I've kept tabs on the Anime though, hence characters that appear in the games but not in the Anime(Wally, Zinnia, Lisia, etc.), I had no idea existed until like a year or two ago).

I've always thought that you make your money and garner loyalty from fans on one-time transactions. Having monthly subscriptions or charging money for continued access(like most RPG's, hence FF14, WoW and even EVE I don't play because they charge you for the game AND to play over time. Its why I love Starcraft 2 because its a one time cost to buy the game and online play is free).

What this is going to lead to is people choosing not to buy their product or seeking out third party people that they've never met before and blindly trusting them to do a trade. I can tell you right now that criminal elements could use this to their advantage(as sickening as that sounds).
Finished rewatching XY/XYZ on demand over the past month and it's just night and day when compared to Sun and Moon. IcyIce came up with a solid theory regarding the Rainbow Rocket arc that is likely in our future. Thoughts on it?
Hey Hikari, I saw your avvy, and I see that you're into Cardcaptor Sakura as well?
And I hope your days would be much better, too.
I'm sorry to hear that... Hopefully things will look up soon. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

At the moment it's all hush-hush, haha.
Oh and with Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee announced, Season 23 is likely going back to Kanto to promote it. Odds are Lillie and maybe the rest of the S&M cast will join him there or perhaps the Kalos group will return as hinted in XYZ47. Granted I could be wrong when the Anime is concerned but typically they have the Anime promote the games and they had promotion with FRLG(and to a lesser extent Emerald with Battle Frontier), HGSS(Lyra/Khoury mini-arc) and ORAS(Steven Stone and Sawyer).
So I think I've figured out Disney's plans for the English Dub. See the thread in Anime board. TLDR: I think you're right in that the Japanese dub is stopping at 78 Episodes for the current season, hence Season 21 of the English Dub will stop there as well. That means 35 Episodes for Season 21 and therefore 8 Episodes shorter than Season 20. Season 21 also started 7 weeks earlier than Season 20 did, hence if you take May 19th and add 15 weeks, you hit September and hence I peg Disney restarting Season 21 on September 8th with Episodes 59 to 66 from 9/8 to 9/15 and going back to their usual format until Thanksgiving wherein they'll repeat what they did last year with 76 and 77(along with Movie#21) on 11/24. They'll re-air the Movie and 77 on 12/1 and finish Season 21 with 78 on 12/8 before going on Winter break.

If my hunch on the length of Season 22 is correct, I peg it to be 42 Episodes long for an even 120. If I'm right, we're looking at a March start in 2019 with the series finishing up around the same time in December of 2019.
Disney is going into Summer programming mode wherein they've chosen a number of shows(including some OLD ones like Kim Possible believe it or not) to show during the Summer months. Season 21 may not resume until September or so and they may opt to not even bother doing what they did to open the season in airing 8 Episodes in a span of a week so that the season ends in late November/early December with Episode 72. Figure 14 Episodes at a 1 Episode/week clip means that the rest of Season 2 likely will occur from September 8th(with Episode 59) to December 8th(with Episode 72). That way they can repeat airing the latest movie at the season's conclusion before going into Winter break.

Meaning, Season 22 won't begin until 2019(in March if Season 21 is anything to go by).
Expanded on what I think will happen with regards to the English dub. Be prepared for a LONG wait lol. I have a hunch they're going to repeat what they did with the end of Season 20 wherein they aired Movie#20(I Choose You! "Anniversary remake") along with Episode 42. They then repeated 42 and the movie a week later(when 42 was slated to air anyway) and then 43 before going on Winter break.

Movie#21 isn't going to be released until later this year and won't air on Disney XD until much later than that so... if I'm right.... we got a LONG effing wait before we even reach Mallow's Brother Episode in English -.-
Revise and I will be discussing the future of PT soon. I also hope we can bring back WTP, at least in some form. :) It'd be great to see you back there.
With the possibility of a 3rd Kanto game means that there's the possibility of the Anime going back to Kanto again as well. A fanfiction of mine has Serena, Ash, Clemont and Bonnie going through the Kanto region. Clemont is there to showoff Clembot 2.0 to Silph Corporation(aka the infamous company that gets taken over by Team Rocket) and Bonnie tags along because she has to "protect" her big brother(while also looking for a "keeper"). Serena is there to try and impress Ash enough to where he considers her not only a rival but perhaps as a worthy girlfriend. I have her adding a male Rhyhorn and a Female Pikachu to her team prior to the series and then have her add a Female Butterfree(the pink one that we all know from Season 1(Episode 21) of the Franchise).

What I haven't worked out yet is Ash's Team and what motivation Serena has to challenge the Kanto Gyms(narrow loss to Ash at the beginning perhaps?). Anyways, I'm so ready to move on from S&M that just talking about something else is revitalizing.
I suppose so, but he did do a lot for PokéTrivia (such as the Pokémon Choice Quest, Pokémobjects, WTP). I'm hoping to help boost activity in similar ways in the future. :)
After having watched Episode 76, the Electroweb development was a middle finger to TR. They did everything right, for a change, when it comes to beating Ash and a new move somehow prevents Pikachu from being hit by a Z-Move?! I call bulls$*&, plain and simple. Furthermore, Electroweb should be exclusive to Joltik line or at most Spider Pokemon like Ariados and other BUG type Pokemon. Doesn't make sense for an Electric mouse to generate a "web" of Electricity to lock down an opponent like they showed in 76 for Pikachu to hit with its own Z-move(which again appeared conveniently for Ash to use. Again I call BS).

The more I think about the Episode, the more I don't like it.
Speaking of a Serena potential return, what do you think she'll look like if she does return? The Female playable character in SM/USUM games(which I believe is Moon) or something else? I think she'd look good in the FRLG set-up or Leaf. If she were to appear like the latter... damn that would hint at her possibly returning for another series in Kanto if the Let's Go games have any credibility whatsoever.
It wasn't cheap but conveniently appeared out of thin-air that it made it cheap and WTF worthy. TR was given Mimikyu-Z by Acerola, hence them having it makes sense. Who GAVE Ash Pikashunium-Z? AFAIK absolutely freaking no one.

Btw, I haven't seen 76 yet but I'll get around to it sometime soon. The events of 75 all but point to a win against Nanu next week in 77 and 78 appears to be a clash of UB's(perhaps involving Poipole). No idea what 79 onward is yet since they haven't been announced(but should be in the next week). May know if Serena is coming back next month.
Electroball replacing Volt Tackle wasn't necessarily bad due to Volt Tackle's recoil. I've never been a fan of recoil moves and I often avoid them in-game even when they have significantly more power(like Submission and Double Edge for Generation 1 as an example). As for Electroweb, yeah I have to agree with you on this. The average power of Electroball was typically 80 due to how fast Pikachu is over the bulk of opponents(very rarely is it 60 or the base 40). To go from that to a base power of 55 doesn't make sense unless you figure its a "Defensive" move. Granted if you go with the Defensive argument, he'd been better off giving it Light Screen or Charge(wherein it makes Pikachu Special Defense stronger while boosting the next Offensive move). Heck Charge Beam would had made more sense(makes Electric moves stronger the more times its used). Heck Electric Terrain would had made more sense than Electroweb.
Thank you, Hika. <3 To be honest, neither did I! If anything, I thought Lycanthropy would reclaim that role.

Haha that's nice to know, nothing beats the Aussie pioneering spirit. ;)

By the way, are you planning anything special for your 50,000th post? I can't believe how close you are. ^_^
