Who knows? Zel might actually be working hard on his hack, even trying to insert more tiles into his ROM Hack. So I'm pretty sure he's working hard on a lot of things, including tiles for the Kanto region as well.

Thinking about it, we're leaving Zel alone. He's not going to read this unless he actuallly comes here. However, we're trying to let him know, when he comes back, that he had people waiting for him, which is a pretty good feeling.
I agree we shouldn't press him, and I'm also stating we aren't. We pretty much can't do it, anyway.
But since I think Zel deserves a friendly welcome, I'll keep tiing things to a string. xD

He's 22 years old, so of course he's going to be busy with plenty of other things. For all we know, he could be working on it during his absence.

Zel i cant save for shiny gold i try the flash 128k it still say save error love the game but cant get to kanto region without saving

!!!!! I was playing today and I came across something that you might wish to notify players of in the future. First, I guess, I need to ask the question how do you progress in the game after you beat the Elite Four since there's no continue screen? Second, it seems to me that if you don't fix the save problem when you start the game, it can't be fixed. I've been surviving off of save states and when I finished the Elite Four I realized that the game had to save to acknowledge beating the game and it couldn't save. Then I went back and changed the save thing for the emulator and I could save in a new game but not in my old save state game. I don't think it can be fixed but it would be good if people were notified of this.

Hey Zel. Well, it's nice to see that you're still around. You haven't been on since April but that's pretty good taking into account how busy people get when they're older (trust me, I know). I really hope that you're still working on Shiny Gold Version. I just finished the Elite Four and I must say, I'm impressed. I also noticed that the Shiny Gold thread is closed =( I really, really hope that you haven't given up on the project because it's just sooo awesome. I also heard about the release of Nintendo's Heart Gold and Soul Silver versions for the DS. I just wanted to say, don't let that discourage your project. Sure they will have professionsal programmers working on the game and I'm sure it will be great but you started creating the remake of a game people had wanted to be remade for sooooo long far before Nintendo did. In doing this you gave the game to those of us who actually know what a Game Boy Color is and have played the older games. You created an excellent and nostalgic remake for us to enjoy and experience before Nintendo and there will be plenty who remeber you for that (personally I think Nintendo should put at least a small tribute to you in Heart Gold). Anyway, I hope that you will return and complete your masterpiece because even though it's not perfect, it gave gamers something that we've wanted since Fire Red and Leaf Green and for that, you have my thanks. Thank you for what work you have given to the Pokemon world. Hopefully you will be long remebered as the ressurector of Pokemon Gold.

well if it isnt the infamous zel lol this is the first time im writing to yu so yu dont know me,, ive played shiny gold 4ever,, since maybe august 07 i think???,,, and this is the 1st time im visiting yur page/thing here on the forums..i see yu havnt been on since apriil>>?? man thats sad bcz im hoping that yu havnt given up shiny gold and new betas etc,, yur a cool guy and im appreciative of the game yu made,, i play it 24/7 on my jailbroken ipod touch on a emulator,, its so fun man,, im always feeling like im reliveing memories by reading the text wihich i swear to yu i freakin love bcz pkmn silver was my first and favorite game ever for the gbc (other then those chunky tetris things ,, gbc and silver was my first portable game thing and the first game for it),, i wish i was an expert at hacking but im not,, thats why i support people like you and i hope yu dont give up as so many others do,, im a big big fan ,, know that im here for any help or support ,, when yu get back on here i hope that at least soon yu can release the final beta before the like real game so i can complete it not just mess around in fuschia,, i wish yu all the best and hope for nothing but the best of and for yu,, thank you for the remake and watever yu do dont give up on it like many others,, at least fisnish it (the main story) and then in yur free time add little bugfixes and tweaks to it and release more betas,, thats a good idea,, again thank you

o_o; Do people still think zel is dead in any way? Because if you look at his LastFM profile, it says he was on it last month. Zel is fine, he's probably just busy :3

Love your hack zel, but i have one problem! I downloaded your latest version and when i enter the victory road my character just stands in the middle of nothing! The floor is the standard cave floor but there is nothing else there. My character can only stare up,down,leaf and right but not walk. what is the problem and what can i do to fix it?

I see you have left for quite some time. I hope you are having a nice break. Playing your game, and you defiantly deserve a break after all the amazing work you have put into that. Thank you for making Shiny Gold X. I've always wanted a hard mode of Pokemon Gold. It was the only thing that could pull me away from the Ruby Destiny Games.
