Your character's name: Indigo Verez/Melissa Hart
Sex/Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance: Indigo isn't a large man, standing at an impressive 4'11, weighing at about 110 lbs. Let's start with his head, just because. His head is actually a bit large, but not noticeably so, with an egg shape, but it is hidden by his hair. Speaking of, his hair is a dark brown that is quite long for a guy, going down to his mid-back. He keeps it tied back so his hair isn't always in his face. His skin is quite pale, as if he didn't get much sunlight during his life. His eyes are a light blue, which could be a reason he wears sunglasses, so that his eyes aren't in pain when he goes out. His nose isn't that long, coming out only about an inch or so, and it is pointed out, his nostrils slightly visible to the public. His ears are a little large, and noticeably so, but are hidden behind his hair most of the time, so they're ignored. He has a moderate amount of freckles on his face, but not too much. His lips are fairly thin as well, not that he minds, mind you. He has a small stubble of a beard growing on his chin.
He has an average build, not muscular, not fat, not thin. His body isn't too large, due to his small stature, his arms drop a bit below his hips, making them fairly long, and his hands are a bit big too, with long fingers. His legs are short, but that's to be expected with someone of this size, but there is a long scar on his left leg that he doesn't find too flattering, so that is always covered with a bandage.
He wears a white long-sleeved shirt and a black vest that look a bit big on him, the vest has pockets on the left breast, but not on the right, and his shirt has a pocket on the right arm, sewn on himself in case he ever needed it. He wears a small earring on his right ear, and a golden necklace with an X on it. His pants are black and look a bit big for himself as well, held up by a brown belt to the third hole. On his left leg, he has a bandage over his scar, and black socks under black dress shoes.
Personality: Indigo is sort of a snob, seeing himself better then everyone else, as that is how he was raised. He has contempt for the world, but can work with it, as he does need to from time to time. Being from an upper class, he does have ability to lead, and can do so if possible. However, he is reserved, due to an injury he received from his own fault as a child, he lost the streak of rebellion.
Despite his teachings, he is afraid of taking his father's place as a company head, like he is expected to, as he can't match up with his father in ability, he is afraid he would run it into the ground. He is also nervous over pokemon with sharp claws, like a Zangoose, which gave him the large scar. He likes to have fantasies where he is in control of something, or beating his father in ability over something, still has his childhood imagination, and to cope with his intense nervousness over possibly running a company, he has developed an alternate personality, or as he likes to call her, an imaginary friend, and isn't ashamed to speak of her out loud.
This alternate personality is a female, but doesn't really come out much, simply staying within his head, she isn't too helpful, at least in his mind, but she does comfort him when he is feeling nervous, even terrified of the world at times. She doesn't really have many fears except for sex and snakes, both of them creep her out a lot, and it sort of leaks over into him, nervous of the first and scared of the second. She can't really lead well, though she does try to cheer people up. Whenever she does get out, she unties his hair, allowing it to go free, and subsequently gets annoyed when it gets in her eyes.
Their favorite food is agreed upon to be ribs, which he doesn't get a lot of to their disappointment. His least favorite food is celery, always making him want to throw up, but that's not the case with the other, her least favorite food happens to be cheese, not really liking the sharpness of it.
Indigo's hobby is video games, something to allow him to escape the real world, and what it entails. Being of an elite class, he is privileged enough to get that, in return for being responsible whenever everyone else needed him to, even with these distractions, he wishes he could have been born in a lower class, not wanting to deal with the stress, and yet he acts superior to the lower classes, which is unusually strange.
His alternate personality, Melissa's hobby is hunting. She likes to hunt for pokemon, but never gets much of a chance to both because she's never the dominant personality, and that they never have a chance to go hunting, always having to do something else. Whether it's a pokeball or a gun, she likes the idea of a hunt.
Sleep is also different to them, Indigo wants to get to sleep early and wake up early, while Melissa wants to stay up all night and sleep through the next day. Indigo's habit of being a creature of the day being drilled into him since he was a kid, and Melissa being something to try and balance that out within his own mind.
Their sexual orientations are straight, but not exactly towards other humans. They're more attracted to each other, which makes things a little weird. Yes, if Indigo were to ever break from his shell, he'd like other people, but currently, he likes his alternate personality, even if he won't admit it. Even so, that is kind of disturbing. She likes him back, too, but being a different part of Indigo, she can't really like anyone else unless she were to take control for once.
Background/History: Indigo was born into a large city upper class, his father Maximilian Verez the owner of a corporation that is one that controls the media, and propaganda for the entire region, always keeping the dictator held within a positive light for the people, tricking quite a few more then you would expect, despite his corruption. As the heir to this, he was taught to be a polite man, as well as to respect the people in charge of the different nations, but he never did, always feeling something to not really accept him for. As a kid, he was somewhat rebellious, though that was covered up by Maximilian.
He didn't want to be confined to this job, thinking it was boring, but he was taught to manage, and to lead. The secrets of the job being kept from him until he would take the helm from his old man, but this had an effect on the child, as he didn't have any friends of his age, causing him to be lonely and to act out more. When he went out, he was curious, but then that day came, he was feeling a bit more rebellious then normal, so he snuck away from his father and somehow ended up near a Zangoose. Curious, he disturbed its sleep, only for it to attack, cutting his leg very deeply. His father chased it off and got his son medical aid, but the scar was left over.
The incident scared him, and Melissa Hart was born, his alternate self, the self that he once was, with a few changes on things. He wasn't as rebellious anymore, and always went to his lessons, though how much he retained is questionable. At this point, he began to like pokemon battles and how much action they had, and wanted to become a professional trainer, like the people he saw on TV, though he would never get the chance, as his future was set in stone, or so he thought, his father thought that it was a good idea as well, to allow him to do so, in order to boost his popularity with the people, though to send him out as he was would be akin to letting a prince into a ghetto, not a good idea, so they aborted that plan.
They were mad, both Indigo and Melissa, the former because he liked pokemon training, and the latter because she wanted to feel the thrill of hunting and catching pokemon, a path denied to them, but in the dead of night, they were able to sneak past the guards and leave to start their journey.
They fight through their journey, Indigo's starting pokemon being a Weedle, being one of the only things he could catch. Fighting through the Gym Leaders, about half way, he was targeted by a group called Team Radon, who wanted to get a lot of money. They found out that Indigo and Melissa were the son of Maximilian, and that they would get a lot of money from him, but thanks to the efforts of Indigo, the Gym Leaders and the Police Force, Team Radon was destroyed.
Indigo made it into the pokemon league, into the Top 16, before loosing quite badly to a trainer by the name of Dmitri. He didn't give up his journey, and he went around the regions, never winning a championship, always proving that he wasn't the best. After going through Sinnoh as his third region, his father finally sent people to get him. Indigo tried to fight them, but was outnumbered and brought home. Neither personality liked this, but had to accept it. However, soon after, the company fell through, due to something going on at the top, Indigo never found out what, but he was free to journey around, and instead of going around to become the best, he just wanted to journey. His new goal was to find some way to bring his alternate personality to life, which sort of speaks for something about his sanity, but knowing the powers of pokemon, he thought he'd give it a shot. He didn't succeed at it, dying while researching the lake pokemon, killed by members of Team Galactic when they set off the bomb on Lake Valor.
Where does he appear?: He would appear as a wandering trainer either in the games, or the manga. Doubt the anime would touch him without killing off that second personality.
