THE OVERVIEW:

In the year 874 After Evolution (AE) the world entered into a time of war for the first time in almost a hundred years. For years, Onzor had unsuccessfully tried to unite the world under one rule - their rule. Each time Kalbion declined tension rose, and those who governed Onzor felt insulted by the constant unwillingness of Kalbion to make the world a better place. When words failed to move Kalbion, Onzor launched a full-scale barrage onto the lands of Kalbion, decimating cities as well as sending in troops to clear out anyone they had missed. Women, men, and children of Kalbion were all considered enemies of Onzor and were eliminated without hesitation.

The surprise attack had caught Kalbion off guard and they scrambled to retaliate. By the time they were able Onzor had obliterated a majority of the cities that produced their weapons, technology, and soldiers. Soon Kalbion fought back, regained their lands, and drove Onzor's forces out. War has raged on for ten years, blows and bombs being exchanged between the two. Throughout the entire war, Kalbion has not fared well. They are in desperate need of something to turn the tides in their favor, as they have exhausted all other options. Except one: Magic.

Now a lost craft, magic was once thought of as a blessing and a high honor to have in the Before Evolution (BE) era. Many called those that had the ability the Exalted Ones. No one is quite certain how magic came to be, some speculate that deities gifted mankind this endowment, others say that it is what made the world. Gaon flourished with magic for quite some time. The world was at peace, people were happy, and life was enjoyable. Until the year 1054 BE, when something happened to those with magic. The Exalted Ones began dying off, the reasoning behind their deaths was unknown. Like a plague it swept across the planet, and thousands upon thousands perished.

That ushered the world into the After Evolution (AE) era. Pushed forward by those without magic, who had begun taking more powerful positions in society while the Exalted Ones were busy aiding their dying kin. Technology was shoved to the forefront; it was easier and faster to learn while magic took concentration and practice. The usage of magic had become a danger to society and, most importantly, the world. That led to its inevitable outlaw, first in the lands of Onzor and then eventually Kalbion. Exalted Ones, healthy or not, rose up to fight against those who made the decision, which resulted in a civil war.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) war only proved technology was far superior and thus magic had officially become outdated. Stricter laws were enacted causing a time period where mere accusations that someone had magic was enough to criminalize them. Time had not been friendly to the Exalted Ones, and their presence diminished more and more each year. Those few that remained constantly lived in fear, scared to use their magic and scared for their life. A cure for the plague was never discovered and thus it still affected them. Eventually, they had all died out, and magic was as good as extinct.


YOUR PARTICIPATION:

It is the year 884, war rages on and neither side is willing to cease-fire. One scientist, Dr. Ethan Sieben, has spent a remarkable amount of time and resources to prove that magic will help Kalbion win this war once and for all. His research has all been done in secret afforded to him by his rank and reputation. Having run enough trials, he is ready to take his results to those heading the war. However with the subject of magic being taboo and a stain on the histories of both Kalbion and Onzor, he has chosen to travel down a different path. It is one that will guarantee him success in his future aspirations. War has a way of creating talented individuals, ones that can do their job and do it well, and Dr. Sieben seeks them.

You are a highly ranked individual in the Kalbionan Army, whether that be as a soldier, medic, scientist, engineer, scout, or spy. You have braved the war and dedicated your life to stopping the efforts of the enemy, making you a perfect subject for a demonstration to show how truly capable magic is. Kalbion needs you and so you have been summoned to the capital city, Summer Grove, where you are to attend a meeting to discuss the war further, unknown to the dangers that hide in plain sight.


MAGIC:

Nothing good will ever come from talking aloud about magic. Most will confront the subject will the same animosity that they were taught it with. It has been so long since magic has been seen publicly that some wonder if it ever truly existed. For the most part, text that describe magic and all its practices have been destroyed and are forbidden to be given to the public.

According to these found text all magic is energy based. It has to be summoned from within through concentration and thought and will give off a certain color when used. Magic is said to take on different properties and attributes. There are mentions of six classes of magic and within each class there are mentions of three different subclasses (either Attack, Defense, Health, Special Attack, Speed, or Status). Once a user goes down a certain path (a subclass) it is permanent. The names and descriptions of each class and subclass have been translated into modern words below:

Dates: There are seven terms, which can range from 25-35 days. Each term is referred to as First Term, Second Term, Third Term, etc. A Gaon year equals 221 days and days are usually referred to as Day One, Day Two, Day Three, etc. First Term has 31 Days, Second Term has 27 Days, Third Term has 35 Days, Fourth Term has 35 Days, Fifth Term has 29 Days, Sixth Term has 30 Days, and the final, Seventh Term has 34 Days.

Appearance
Bishop Newville, standing at five foot ten inches tall and weighing in at sixty-nine kilograms is only slightly smaller than the average male. His shaggy blonde hair has grown out quite a bit since his induction into the Kalbionan Army Medical Team and he has even gone to the effort of dying two tips of his hair a mousey-brown colour. Quite often he has thought about returning to the regimented military-style short cut, but enjoys the length his hair is at the moment. His eyes are dark green in colour and not very intriguing. As for his facial features, his jawline remains fairly angular with a small distinction of his cheek bones showing and very thin lips. Due to his time in the Kalbionan Army, Bishop is rather physically fit. While not bulky muscular, he is rather lean and defined; perfect for mobility and allowing him to travel quickly and in long distances. His thin, nimble fingers allow him greater precision when dealing with medical tools and open wounds. His skin tone is relatively fair despite being outside in the sun for much of the day; Bishop finding it hard for his skin pigment to tan.

Slung across his back is Bishop's large travel bag which he carries with him. Much of his clothing comes from the Kalbion Army Surplus store; so the typical light desert-camo boots, utility pants, and jackets. This outer clothing shows visible signs of excessive use and fraying; Bishop refusing to get it fixed on the terms that, "if it's not broken; don't fix it". If it does need fixing however, he uses his medical expertise to sew patches and seams together. Aside from this, he often wears varying single coloured t-shirts beneath his jacket and the only accessory he wears is a blue stone shard hanging from a leather necklace.

Personality
Bishop lives in a world that is solid and kind; he ultimately seeks to see the best in people with his warm and kind-hearted attitude. He values harmony and co-operation in all facets of life and is sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. His firm desire to believe the best often leads him to seeking out the best in others by applying his awareness and consideration. He is constantly taking in information about people and situations that is important to him and storing it away for later use; from which he can recall later in fair detail due to his ability to retain such memory if it were important to his own value system. Being aware of other people's feelings doesn't mean that Bishop isn't aware of his own, in fact he is hugely aware of his own emotions, but rather that when it comes to his own emotions he would rather not express them. Keeping things inside, he despises burdening others with his own emotional baggage but will quickly be there if someone else wishes to dump their emotional baggage. His unwillingness to express his own emotions makes him a great listener and impartial judge for others. Negative emotions will build up within Bishop, and will often build up to firm judgments against others which can be very hard to unseed once set. These firm judgments however won't stop Bishop from being kind towards them, but will twist his view of the person.

Bishop has a very clear cut vision of the way he perceives things to be and will strive hard to attain that goal. He holds security and kindness on the highest pedestal; striving to provide these to others day in and day out while also holding immense respect for standing traditions and laws. Unless shown how a new path could be more beneficial via concrete evidence, Bishop often finds himself adhering to the existing system because under the belief that it is there because it works and also if it's broken then it doesn't need fixing. Bishop has a strong sense of responsibility and duty; taking his responsibilities through to the end. This often causes others to rely on Bishop and his reluctance to say 'no' can sometimes see him piled under with work. Even if he is stressed over the amount of work, he will do his best not to express his difficulties with the task(s) onto others in an effort to avoid conflict; placing the needs of others above his own. Having very little needs of his own, Bishop is all too happy to take on as many tasks as possible to aid his fellows.

Bishop learns best when he's hands-on, working on the job rather than sitting somewhere reading up on a book or applying theory; higher education Bishop seeing as a chore. Before joining the Kalbionan Army, Bishop would often watch the doctors whenever they were patching him up and then later mimic those techniques after injuring himself again. His natural curiosity lead him to questioning why the doctors did certain things further increasing his medical prowess and interest in aiding others. Once he learns a task, he holds a firm understanding of the practical application and will tirelessly carry through the task until completion. His dedication to healing others has often lead to him over exerting himself in some situations; however if people need a job done then they know they can rest their faith in Bishop as he will do his utmost to get it done.

Bishop often works to the best of his effort to encourage others to praise him. If there is one thing Bishop strives to live on that would be positive feedback. Even a simple 'Thank you' would suffice enough to keep Bishop happy, however this also means he takes criticism very harshly. As much as he strives to do his best when given a task, if the task giver promotes negative feedback, it is all too easy for Bishop to quickly become discouraged. This discouragement can quickly spiral into darker places where Bishop begins to see all the negativity and inadequacy in his life.

Depression following negative feedback isn't the only negative aspect to his personality. His impulsiveness, even during surgery, means that he is willing to take drastic measures that could severely injure the person being operated on. As much as he likes to help everyone, he will often take cases and surgeries that he finds more interesting in lieu of what he has been given. His friendly exterior isn't always so friendly; his intrigue into the lives of others often leads him to pushing boundaries about what information people will share with him. He wants to know as much information about them as possible and will sometimes push to extremes to get it.

Achievement(s)
Bishop is most notable for his unwillingness to give up when someone is grievously injured. His tireless work to repair someone even in the face of great adversity and imminent failure and also his high success rate has resulted in Bishop becoming one of the most notable medics standing within the army. His work on preventing excessive arterial hemorrhaging in trauma has increased the success rate within his medical unit and resulted in being awarded one of the highest medical honor within the standing Kalbionan Army. His greatest triumph to date was four back to back surgeries after a shrapnel bomb had decimated a unit of soldiers just outside of High Land.

Appearance: Absent was the standard amount of hair that a female is supposed to have in order to keep her femininity and beauty unquestioned. In a moment of self discovery Claire shaved her head, to free herself from society's expectations and those that dare judge anyone for it. Before she takes clippers to shave it down she'll allow it to grow out, never more than an inch at a time. It is, almost always, the primary target of the glances and stares, Claire has grown to love it, the hair (or lack thereof) and the attention. A simplistic design that consists of two horizontal lines, an inch apart, are shaven into the left side of her head. Transfixed are those who rally up the imperative courage to acknowledge her unwavering and rather emotionless eyes. Victims of her gaze tend to lose their train of thought or often themselves in her irises, they are colored a tint of brown that is virtually black, nearly as black as her shortened hair or long eyelashes. One of most prominent physical feature they aren't lighter than is the tone of her complexion, a medium brown. Her skin, for the most part, is silky smooth except for the palms of her hands that are as coarse as the sand on the Kalbionan shores. Clumps of dirt, nicks, bruises, and small bouts of acne are the only thing to disrupt her otherwise flawless skin.

It is clear to individuals that have met her that Claire had not received much in the height department from either of her parents. Pixie was a nickname on numerous occasions that was thrown around, standing at a height of 5'4" it didn't surprise or bother her, in fact she found it quite endearing. Alongside her slender stature came her small waist, a characteristic that has been a source of insecurity. Perhaps, soft or gentle would be ill-advised to describe Claire's established features such as her nose and jawline. She possesses full lips that rarely formed into that of a smile or that of a frown, but remains familiar with a neutral resting position. Routinely they are concealed with a thin coat of lipstick, its shade excessively flamboyant. The eyeshadow she wears is also vivid in color, matching the vibrant color of her lipstick. Hung around her neck are ostentatious necklaces that Claire is more partial to than any other kind. A single thought has not crossed her mind to stop wearing them even though they, from time to time, interfered with her work. Her ears and fingers were distinctly bare of any jewels, her ears lacked a reason, however, her long fingers were her lifeline, without them naked her work wouldn't be properly finished or started.

Comfortable living has granted Claire the ability to dress in the styles she has a strong preference toward. In comparison to her showy accessorizing her clothes seemed to lack that specific attribute. More or less they are plain in color or pattern, she assumed her jewelry would speak loud enough. That and there weren't many engineer overalls that came in those design. Filth constantly smothers her outfits, it's best to not wear something that would only highlight how much grime Claire wore on a daily basis. When given days off Claire might slip into something that is a bit more flashy, low-cut, floral dresses are her absolute favorite. That doesn't mean Claire doesn't feel at home in blue jeans and a regular, black t-shirt. Regardless of her outfit, be it dresses, skirts, or pants, she will not wear anything other than her brown, black, or grey lace-up combat boots. In any clothing that give the public visual access to her arms and legs it would seem as if she has noticeable muscle mass, and that would be due to her job and the fact Claire prefers to keep herself fit. Being in shape makes it easier on her to do her job and the others that depend on her as well.

Personality: Social interactions have never been one of Claire's strong suits, and she's well aware. Insecurity is a huge factor in that, every gesture, comment, and step as well as the consequences that could stem from her decision are monitored with a discerning mind in hopes to gain the best possible outcome. Regrettably this has affected her conversational skills, which weren't that pleasant to begin with. Tactics to steer clear of the other's person's gaze like looking at the floor, pretending to text, or constantly adjusting something on her clothing are utilized more often than not. The actual conversations are the hardest parts, she has never been one to start a conversation off and if she feels comfortable enough to contribute it is with a few choice words. People, especially large groups, aren't Claire's area of expertise. She doesn't grasp why some things are socially acceptable to say and others aren't, how to vocalize things in a non-harmful way, or how to tell people what they want to hear that isn't said in a blunt fashion. A cost of her naivety is her lack of friendships, Claire can't help but tell herself she doesn't mind it, but that's not necessarily the truth. Sometimes she wishes she was normal, able to bond with people, have friends, and be around others. Claire has always allotted a specific amount of time to be in the close vicinity of other individuals before she needs to be alone in order not to be overwhelmed. She will retreat to a place of comfort, where she can rest, read, and/or think.

On her own is Claire's place of tranquility and it's always where she is the most verbal. The talks she has with herself are to prepare her for real life encounters, most of which never actually take place. Since Claire is constantly worried about her appearance and how the world views her, she's become more aware of the activities that take place around her. While she's not good at knowing what to say to people her observation skills of them are top notch. If Claire could study people professionally, she would as it is one of her favorite pastimes. These particular skills have not only aided when it comes to people but also when it comes to her work, a subject Claire tends to draw attention away from. Though, she is eager to prove herself and do the best job she is assigned to do Claire easily becomes embarrassed when the spotlight is on her. In small doses Claire can handle the attention but when people start to actively praise her work and tell her how superb it is that's when she retreats inside herself. Claire's worst enemy is Claire, she believes that she is not worth the applause or being highly thought about. She always has critiques and won't hesitate to point out the improvements that can be done and the fact that there are better people to do the projects she has been assigned. Away in the background is where Claire likes to be though she would never sabotage or do less than her best to achieve it.

Confrontation is an issue Claire's never been able to properly address. Whenever she is involved in a conversation that derails into an argument Claire will immediately bow out. She'll take the verbal abuse rather than retort in hopes that it'll get them to retreat all the more faster. Usually with Claire's ability to keep her emotions in check and not visible on the surface does the job. Long ago she had put a stop to her getting emotional over these types of situations and eventually any that would require any emotional display she felt was unnecessary like crying or laughing or cheerfulness. It made Claire' into simply a stone statue with a never-ending glare. To her there's no use defending herself from the personal attacks if she has recognized them as true and are words she has told herself a million times over. If Claire sees another person being harassed she can't help but intervene, even if that means she'll take the flack. Seeing other people get hurt breaks Claire's heart, no one deserves to be treated that way. Physical fights are where it crosses the line, Claire was strictly taught to never let anyone put their hands on her and never let people attack others. This is why Claire has developed such intense feelings against Onzor and why she has decided to do the best work she can possibly do in her career. She has a special dislike for people who have the need to belittle or harm others in order to make themselves feel good and wastes little time plotting their demise. Whether it's knowing a person for five seconds or five months Claire does not differentiate or care, she helps.

Achievement(s): Claire is most known for her work on the electrical power grids, being on the team that is constantly upgrading and fixing them all across Kalbion. She was also one of the people who helped build and design the initial force field that protects Summer Grove. With a partner she walked into a hostile war zone in order to repair the city's electrical systems which allowed them to get their weapon systems back online, this act earned her high honors and a medal.

Name: Adrian "Arrow" Arroyo

Adrian stands at a relatively imposing 6 feet tall. However, perhaps more imposing is his physique. He has a toned, muscular body which he actively keeps in shape being that he is in the Kalbion Special Forces. As his father hails from Southern Kalbion where people have darker skin, Adrian has light brown skin. From his mother, he received her bright green eyes, though his appears a shade or two duller than her were. Adrian also has dark brown medium-short, somewhat curly hair. His hair is usually style to be shorter on the sides and groomed and looped on top in small curls. Sometimes it simply appears messy if he doesn't bother grooming it, which he does on many occasions. He also sports a full beard, thick across his face and chin which he has maintained for a long time now.

Adrian has a large black, tribal-like tattoo which begins at the base of the left side of his neck. It twirls in circles and semi-circles across his shoulder, before continuing down his arm all the way to his wrist. He has a medium-sized nose which hooks only slightly, and a semi-long face.

Adrian's casual wear includes plain T-Shirts, which tend to be white, grey, black, or green in color. He can also be seen sporting muscle shirts during recreation or training, usually of the same color. He also occasionally wears camo pants on his free time too. In terms of his military gear, Adrian sports a standard military grade shirt and pair of camo pants. Over the shirt is a camouflage jacket similar to the style of the pants. The color and pattern of these are dependant on the weather and location. For mission at night, Adrian sports a special, Kalbion-styled tech suit which helps blend him into the darkness. Over his military jacket is an equipment bag where he keeps a set of technologically advanced binoculars, which can pick up thermal variations, and specific distances. It also reads Adrian's eye movements for specific zooming features and blur/focus adjustments. The bag also contains other sniper-centered equipment. Adrian also has a Kalbion-issued armor, which is colored with the flag of Kalbion when out of combat areas. It has the unique feature of being able to alter its design to suit the area of engagement.

Adrian's sniper is one of the most technologically advanced in Kalbion's arsenal. It includes a feature to fire a wide array of bullets, built to adjust to dozens of bullet sizes and shapes. It also has a heating unit to fire thermal rounds. The sniper is designed to condense at the wielder's command, becoming easier to carry around.

Something always found on Adrian's person is his dog tags, as well as a necklace with a pair of photographs inside. The photographs are of his daughter and wife, both of which were killed during this war.

Personality: As a younger soldier, Adrian was always considered a bit of a jokester. He was usually found kidding around with others. Overall, he was thought to be friendly and charming. Yet he was also passionate and deeply concerned about his missions, and his orders. Adrian used to be quite talkative too, striking up conversations with others on a whim. He didn't have much of a filter, so usually any topic was fine by him. Nothing was off limits.

Soon after his wife and young daughter were casualties of the war with Onzor, Adrian became a changed man. Sure, to many who spoke with him, he seemed somewhat the same. He joked on occasions, and was still quite friendly and charming when he wanted to be. He occasionally will strike up conversations with others too. But the content of the conversations were a bit different. For example, Adrian tried to push the conversation as far away from him as he could, preferring it to remain on the other people, or on a different topic. Whenever someone would try to ask something about him specifically, he would try to change the topic, make a joke out of it, or ignore it altogether. He has done this in succession, especially when the questions are regarding his personal life or past.

To many who don't know him too well, many would believe he hasn't changed much through the years. Yet to someone who knew him better, they could see that he doesn't have the same spark in his eyes that he had when he was younger. Besides not wishing to talk about his past, Adrian simply doesn't have the same passion he had as a younger man. Whether it is about his service, his friends, his life, anything, Adrian now goes through the motions of his existence with a little less meaning. Obviously, losing the two things he cared the most deeply affected him. It becomes more apparent when he is alone. Adrian used to prefer to work in smaller groups, maybe with around two to half a dozen people. However, what he preferred even more than that, being a sniper, was to have his own position somewhere alone. That was what he considered his free, personal time. It was when he felt most alive. Now, it is the time he feels most alone and dead inside, because he has much more time to think and reflect, which brings up painful memories.

Adrian has also taken to drinking, having quite a few nightmares, and having many sleepless nights because of this. He is less tidy than he used to be, but when it comes to the mission, it generally is all that keeps him going at this point. After all, beyond that, he doesn't have much else to live for. He has been known to go relatively by the book before, though he had become a tad more reckless and daring in his assignments since his family's passing.

Because of his family and their fate, Adrian has a soft spot for women in some cases, but more particularly young children, especially if they're on their own. He would probably make a concentrated effort to assist them if he saw they were in trouble of some sort.

He is an excellent shot with a sniper rifle, having proved his valor and skill on multiple occasions through the war, including one mission where he was positioned in a bird's nest (belltower) by himself. Adrian held off a platoon of soldiers from Onzor alone for 16 hours, earning his recognition as a sharpshooter and a medal.

A man who stands at 6"1, and close to 180lbs of muscle, Check is not a small person. His hair is blonde and reaches his shoulders. He usually wears a full head mask (which has a picture of a skull on it) in battle, which covers his face, keeps his hair down, and prevents it from easily being seen during battle. When he is not fighting, and simply on his own, he still prefers to wear a hat out of habit. He only wears the sunglasses when it is actually sunny.

In public, Check prefers to wear jeans and a t-shirt. This is universal to all weather, as he is very resistant to cold weather, and is not bothered by hot weather. Occasionally he wears his military uniform. He wears a pair of boots that has a hidden blade in the sole of the left foot. He does not have many other weapons that he carries around though, only a combat knife that is strapped to his waist.

Personality: (ESTP) Check is an extroverted man who delights in physical activity. He is dedicated to being a soldier, though prefers to lead over being led. Additionally he does not trust many long term plans, especially his own. He is very in tune with his surroundings, and can pick up very small changes in expression, posture, or overall tone of other people. Additionally, he knows very well how to speak to people, and leverage them to agree with him. He understands how to manipulate a person's psychology and why people do things. This makes him great as both a squad leader and negotiator (and interrogator). He enjoys to play games, party, and drink when not in combat or training, and is a very harmless drinker. He enjoys barfights, fistfights, kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, and mixed martial arts.

Check has problems caring for planned activities. He would prefer if they just told him what he had to do, and not how he is supposed to do it. This can cause friction between him and superiors. Additionally, he does not care for the logistics behind any technology. If he can use it, he doesn't care how it works, if he can't use it, he still doesn't care how it works. This has led to him being fairly incompetent when it comes to fixing or building machinery. He is also ignorant of much of the country's history, meaning he has a pretty narrow scope on how and why things are in the big picture.

When he puts on his mask, he becomes much more serious. Although he does not change much personality wise, all of his traits take a much darker approach. This is, of course, not the mask, but rather his change of attitude. He understands when he needs to be serious, and he telegraphs it through the mask. He is not stupid in battle, and is extremely deadly in close quarter combat. He is great at using improvised melee weapons and has no sympathy for enemies (meaning he will kill without a second thought). He is fairly honorable, and takes the lives of his squad mates as his responsibility. He believes that he should be the first man in, and the last man out.

RP Sample: I hung my head, staring respectfully at the two deceased men. My squad-mates and I all wore our masks and special forces uniform. I had forced the captured prisoners to dig their graves. They would not be allowed a headstone, as we held to a tradition of being buried where we die. The service began with a prayer from Yuri, who was the only one of us who held any type of faith in a god. Still, his words were beautiful, and all of us considered taking up religion. I slid the wooden boards over their makeshift, wooden caskets. The four of us stood around one of the caskets, "Grab!" I commanded, everyone complying, "Lift!". We effortlessly lifted the casket. "Forward march!" We walked to the farthest hold and positioned the casket. "Ease!" We slowly lowered the casket into the hole. We repeated the process with the second casket and began filling the holes. "Salute!" I called. "Rest in peace Makar Petrov and Neko Svalov. At ease." I called. "Yuri and I, will report this to the Operative. Aneta, Emma I want you two to escort the prisoners to the nearest friendly camp for detainment." They saluted and went into town to fetch the prisoners.

"How are we to return to the general if they take the truck?" Yuri asked.

"The camp had a few trucks we could use." I replied, "So let us make use of those."

Upon arrival back to Aluma, I dismissed Yuri so that he could bring news to the two men's families. I made my way through the city to the general's house. I knocked twice and his wife answered. "Well hello Check!" She said kindly, "Are you here to Max?"

"Yes ma'am, I have some work related news for him." I smiled just as kindly to her as she was to me. "Is he home?"

"Absolutely!" She said, "Come right in." I bowed graciously and entered their home, "I am just about finished with dinner, would you like to stay and eat?"

"No thank you, I am meeting with Yuri, Emma, and Anita for dinner tonight."

The general sat at his dinner table, writing in his book. He was an old man. He was in his mid fifties and had much more experience with life than I did. His body was aged by intense work and stress, yet he was always enjoyable to be around, kind, and intelligent. He looked up and smiled, "Back from your assignment? Did it go well?" I hesitated, and he instantly knew there were complications, "Helen, could you please go check on Alexander?" His wife faked a smile, bowed, and then left the room.

"Makar Petrov and Neko Svalov have passed away sir." I reported, "10 enemy soldiers were captured though, and twenty were killed. We liberated a small town, but the camp you sent us to scout and raid did not contain any valuable information." Max looked at me for a few moments, set down his paper and sighed

"Their lives were not a complete loss." He started, "But I am saddened that they died without completing the objective." The room felt darker, and gravity seemed to be a lot stronger, as a wave of silent sorrow filled the house. The silence was broken by his son's cries. "By the way, you will be attending a war meeting in Summer Grove."

"What for sir?" I asked.

"They told me they wanted my best man for some demonstration. I have selected you."

"Thank you sir, that means a lot. I would be proud to attend."

"Very good. The meeting is a month and six days from today. Do not be late, and do not cause trouble."

"Yes sir." I said with a bow.

"As for our two casualties. I will see to it that their families are compensated greatly and will not be crippled by their loss." I smiled and saluted. "Dismissed!"

Achievement(s): Check was a serviceman. He climbed the ladders quickly and easily, showing competence in the field in the field of battle from the start. Before the war, he (like his father) was a police officer. When the war started, he was so willing to go to war, he was almost deemed out of his mind, though he learned quickly to relax his interest and was allowed to join. His combat skills were much higher than his other infantrymen, though his distaste to take any higher education classes prevented him from ever going past an infantryman prime. This caused him to remain at a low rank for four years, until the day came where he was invited to become a servicemen because of his extraordinary fieldwork and leadership qualities. After three years of being a following, his unit leader died during a mission. The members of his unit agreed that Check would be a good replacement, and after a few terms, Check was decided to be the head of their unit.

The unit specializes in sabotaging camps, bases, or points of interest before a main force comes in. They are also qualified to partake in assassinations or escorting. Since Check has taken charge, success rates have jumped to 80 percent , and the unit has had only two casualties. Check's latest feat involved him raiding a camp because of a failed mission. They were to raid a camp near the border that was believed to have strategic plans. His squad (7 humans) infiltrated the camp, with him and two others on the ground, while the other four gave cover and warnings from the outer trees. The plans were not within the camp, and the three men were captured. For ten days, Check was starved and tortured, though he never uttered a single word that would give up his unit. The other four members could only watch and bide their time until the camp was less alert. The four of them formulated a plan to waited for the camp to send soldiers to collect supplies from the nearby village. They captured the supply carriers and used them as hostages to get the three men back. Unfortunately, the camp leader would only agree to release one of their prisoners. Check's two friends backed down and insisted that he be the one to get out. Both sides held to their word and Check was freed, but as he and the other four left, two gunshots were heard.

Check went into a rage when he saw that his friends were hung on poles outside the camp, so much so, that he and his friends, decided to raid the camp. Using booze, glass bottles, matches, and cloth, they lit the camp ablaze with fire. Three members of his unit then used sniper rifles to kill anyone who carried a weapon. A fourth member was tasked with starting the fires and incapacitating any enemies with a silenced pistol. Check himself, took a revolver and entered the blazing camp to find the leader. With vengeful eyes and no remorse, he executed the man, suffering a relatively harmless shot to his shoulder. In all, twenty enemy soldiers were killed, either from fire or sniper. The remaining men were wounded, ten in all, and captured. It took restraint for Check to spare their lives.

Appearance: He is youthful and charming, handsome but intimidating. With a face shaped and sculpted by the rigorous trials that the Kalbion military has so eagerly pushed their soldiers through, he has gain a noble disposition. Dark strands fall all around his face, curling up around the tips as if he's just gotten out the shower. His hair stops short at his neck but falls to chin length near his angular cheeks. Most would call his face charming if not for the intimidating glare that his icy blue eyes can inflict on most people. Irises as transparent and thin as ice tend to wrench the fight out of most. It's no wonder that respect was all but given to him when he rose up in rank. With the looks of a feral beast, who would want to face the full brunt of his crazed gaze?

Standing among his peers with a relative mutual point-of-view, Ulric was at first thought to be a normal and basic soldier. Being only a head or two above the regulars, he stood quietly at five feet eleven inches. With a fit and healthy body, plated with skin tight muscles and decorated with various scars and fresh stitches, it should never be doubted that he's earned his rank. In particular, their rests numerous long knife scars that covered his abnormally, almost painfully, pale torso. The most notable being a sideways V that appears to start on his right pectoral and wraps around to his lower back. Besides crossing over the road bumps of his tortures Ulric's skin is soft and faultless, leaving a certain femininity to his overall unapproachable appearance.

Comfort and preference is first and foremost on his list when it comes to clothing. He has always been seen wearing darker colors, finding it hard to adapt to being noticeable among the throng of the masses. It's not to say that he's above wearing casual clothing upon request, it's just that he doesn't carry much variety in his own bubble of comfort. Dark jeans, perhaps navy blue, are the closest that he comes from his military uniform. He also dabbles in the rugged flannels when on his day off, finding them to be exceptionally generic when worn with a black or grey t-shirt. More often than not he gets on himself about wearing his father's silver necklace or mother's golden bracelet. However, he's found that he's grown attached to the material items and will usually unknowingly place them on his person. Boots are all that he could ever see himself wearing; sneakers just don't seem to offer enough protection.

Personality: A muddled mess of habits, traits, and a few unsightly mannerisms has somehow been mixed into a very intimidating package. At first glance some may suspect Ulric of being brooding, demented, or even socially awkward, but most of that is far from the truth. Interacting with others has never been difficult to him. Although on the inside he may hold a few burdens here and there, he's never been incapable of producing a good conversation whenever the need or want has presented itself. That's not to say that he gives off an overly friendly or warm disposition. He somehow maintains a very mysterious and stern space around himself even as he speaks openly. It's plainly obvious that he hides a separate, more humane version of himself from people and he's never been one to deny the fact. If one was to ask him that exact question, he'd answer with a half-hearted truth that would probably aggravate the questionnaire before fulfilling any curiosity.

Greatly opinionated and loyal, Ulric has always been dedicated to this country and countrymen. Inheriting his father's bravery, for he comes from a long line of Kalbion soldiers, he has never been one to turn his back on those in severe need. Men and young boys would most likely catch his eye but wouldn't gain his immediate intervention until he recognized their efforts and impending injury. Ulric also has the bad habit of sniffling throughout the day; he often massages his nostrils so that people don't assume he's pulling snot back into his nose. On top of this he has a slouch that often expresses a boredom or laziness that's not clearly visible.

Bad traits are well hidden but more numerous than his good ones. He's reckless, stubborn, merciless, possessive, and dependable to a fault. Ulric never believed that his life was greater than another's but he always knew when one was weighing down the pack. His duty as a soldier was to follow and he never tried to do anything more than that. But as he raised in ranks he begin to see the title as more than what it was. He begin to see the importance and useless of each individual person, his insight had begun evolved. He found himself having to make hard decisions about the lives of other people, decisions that would put one section at more risk than another. Eventually, it made him a bit cruel when in the midst of war or combat. Even a good sparring match would draw his merciless out sometimes. Besides all of this, he has on rare occasions found himself questioning his orders but nonetheless placing his regiment in its clutches. For whatever reasons, his loyalty has blinded him.

Achievement(s): Famous for his work in High Land and his scores at Aluma, Ulric is most notably known as a hero for his as a IMANPR. Recognized on several occasions by his comrades for spearheading assaults against Onzor forces or conducting solitary raids on their nearby encampments, Ulric is no stranger to self-sacrifice. During one of his raids he was caught and was given his scars, he was later rescued and given a medal for valor under extreme conditions. His most notable however, was the action that gave him the moniker "Lycus". He single handed provided backup fire for his comrades during their escape and unintentionally saved the lives of thirty-five civilians. He was awarded a medal and promoted to TPR after careful consideration of higher ranked officers.

Ryūko is a curvy and busty lady, standing at 5'9" and weighing 180lbs, equipped with her hands on her hips and a half disgusted look on her face. Her skin is tanned with golden undertones and has long, dark hair with faded colours and bleached hair where she had originally had her hair coloured when it was short and couldn't be bothered to cut it off. Her hair is usually up in a bun, her hair swept out of her eyes and sometimes with a floppy hair or beanie to keep it together. Her eyes are dark and slanted and her face is round. Her smile, if ever seen, reveals slightly crooked teeth -- nothing to make fun of, but not completely straight either. Her fingernails are almost nonexistent, breaking or being cut of as working with machines is her thing. Her hands are always dirty and covered in cuts or scars, highlighted by the grease on her hands.

Her wardrobe consists of ratty overalls, gloves (sometimes. Working bare handed is so much easier), t-shirts, singlet tops and boots. She doesn't have earrings, but has her eyebrow pierced and a heart-shaped locket tucked underneath her shirts. Other than that, no other jewellery. She keeps it simple and since she works a lot, she can't have too much slowing her down or getting in her way.

Though mainly hidden, Ryūko has a mechanical and fully working prosthetic left leg of her own design. It is no different from a regular leg albeit is made of metal and hurts a lot more than her right leg.

As a daughter of Onzor immigrants, Ryūko gets a lot of crap, but she tolerates none of it. She's strong willed, outspoken and confident in her own self that she will walk up to you and tell you to shut your goddamned mouth because her heritage has nothing to do with how well she can do her job. Because she is the best at what she does and knows it well. Tell her otherwise, and she'll prove to you she can do it better. Tell her she can't build anything because her country is trash and she'll create something that she can smash you in the face with. And that doesn't just go with her, that's with anyone that you show any kind of disgust and prejudice to.

Other than that, Ryūko (or "Wrench" as she's affectionately known as (or Wench, but only if you a) are a very close friend or b) want your face beaten in)) is pretty okay. Be polite, be respectful and be a human being and she'll treat you the same way back. She is capable of having friends and of having a good time, she just can't stand people being treated poorly for no good reason. Being a part of the Kalbion forces though, it's something she deals with a lot.

Ryūko cares very much for her family and her friends, and fights for them. Actually, that's the main reason she joined the war efforts. After what happened to her family in Onzor, she fights for freedom and equality. And nothing will stop her from getting what she wants.

As someone who works with technology, Ryūko's speciality lies in design and enhancement. Though some of her prototype weapons have made their way into the military standard weaponry, her greatest achievement lies in her mechanical, prosthetic limbs. These limbs were tailor made for soldiers would usually be unable to rejoin the war effort -- instead, these limbs can be reattached to the body's nerve system to completely replace arms or legs and be fully controllable (as well as able to feel simulated pain and sense temperature), albeit with regular maintenance. In some cases, depending on the soldier, these mechanical limbs can be outfitted with basic firearms as a form of emergency self-protection.

With help from her fellow medics and engineers, Ryūko was able to create this design and help manufacture these prosthetic limbs. She has one herself -- her replaced right leg -- though it has no added firearm attachment.

Appearance: On a physical level, Avery is considered to be quite attractive when compared to many his age. Fair skinned and only slightly tall, Avery stands at a height of about six feet and averages out to about one hundred and eighty three pounds. His face, oval-shaped in appearance, houses his barely pronounced cheekbones, wide jaw with a stubble, and dark blue colored eyes. Free of most blemishes, Avery possesses small bag under his eyes due to his often sleepless nights. He does have a pair of corrective glasses that takes notice away from the bags. Bodywise, Avery has a thin but athletic build due to his time at the gym.

Often being in a lab, Avery doesn't care much for fashion and will thus be found in his lab coat. Underneath that? Well, you won't find much for style. Most of the time you will find him in a plain set of jeans and a simple t-shirt, most likely in a single, solid color. However, when it comes to formal events, he will not be one to disappoint. Making up for his daily attire, he will be sure to make people know he is the best person in a suit.

Though he tends not to wear too many accessories, he can sometimes be found wearing a simple, chained necklace with a decorative pendant of some sort.

Personality: To put it simply, Avery is a conversationalist. Fluent and mentally quick, he will not hesitate to start or continue a conversation, given the right circumstances. He is not afraid of a good debate or argument and will often use it as a great time to express his ideas or opinions. (Although, when thing turn to a more personal side, Avery will attempt to stay low, finding it much easier to talk about what already out there.) Of course, this doesn't mean that he can't hold a normal conversation either. Those tend to go over pretty well as well. Constantly one for learning new things, his eyes are at the ready to absorb any bit of knowledge presented to him, whether it be from a book, a video, or any situation that is presented to him. From there, he can easily use the details of the situations and use it to his distinct advantage. As such, Avery is very flexible and adaptive when it comes to solving problems and the like and are thus very aware of the possibilities that could come forth.

You can typically attribute most of his conversational skills to his great intuition or his small ability to notice the social cues of people, such as stance or facial expressions. This tends to make some people think he is a few steps ahead of people. To them, its almost as if he already has the answer to the next unasked question.

Of course, every man has his negatives as well. As intelligent as he is, Avery tends to jump from project to project, sometimes getting bored with what he's working on. His mind is always in several places at once, making sticking to one thing or another difficult. Whenever he needs to finish something specific, he seems to have to force himself to take the time and think through a plan in order to get through the challenge and when he does, the results pay off. When stressed, Avey will often become obsessed with the minor details in a problem. In a sense, he tends to focus on what he thinks is important at the time, even if it doesn't affect the big picture.

In many cases, he is impatient, often resorting to taking risks in order to get something done faster or in his own way. He has very little use for rules (when not of his making), believing them to be merely "guidelines" for what he's doing. Finally, he can sometimes go to far in a conversation, making others think he is insensitive.

Achievement(s): In the war against Onzor, Kalbion put its best minds in the field of chemistry to the test. Their objective was simple. Research and cure the agents used by Onzor in an attempt to gain both the information needed as well as an advantage in the war. Not only was Dr. Brandt one of the scientists put in charge of the research, but also the person who managed to successfully figure out what exactly Onzor's "N-2" Toxin was, but also find the cure to its effects. He earned high honors for this.​

Savahnna has light colored skin and curly brown hair with expressive dark eyes. When Savahnna is smiling or when she's frowning it's easy to see the intensity of the emotions in her eyes. That's not because she's bad at hiding it (her job would require that sort of skill, after all!) but because she feels no need to hide her emotions around trusted peers. She has a beauty mark on her left cheek that she's very proud of as well as her thick eyebrows. Clothing wise Savahnna likes to wear turtle necks, so cold weather is her favorite type of weather. When it's too hot for that she'll wear cute v-necks and blouses that consist of earthy or warm colors. When she's working her outfit can very widely depending on the persona she has to take on. A very basic outfit, however, can be all-black or some sort of camouflage.

Accessories wise, Savahnna loves to wear bracelets of all kinds. She isn't as fond of necklaces but does wear them sometimes. Earrings, less often. Rings? Never. Anklets, on the other hand, she'll wear just as much as bracelets if given the chance. Her favorite color is a very beautiful turquoise.

Personality: Savahnna has an very, let's say, wild personality? When on a mission or in any part of life really, she wants to have as much fun as possible and you can't stop her from doing so. It's obvious that she's an extroverted person with how easily she could jump on stage or really any new (often outlandish) experience at a moment's notice. Karaoke? Yes. Bungee Jumping? Yes! Sky diving? YES! Savahnna just can't say no to something if it's fun, especially if it's a challenge. She doesn't focus on things that are overly boring and prefers positive attitudes rather than ugly negative ones. If you get pessimistic she'll probably stop listening and then later and tell you quickly to lighten up. Either with words or through some good old fashioned activity! Her dive-in attitude makes her a naturally excited person! But Savahnna does have her calm moments. If it's something like a personal moment with a friend or genuine concern she can stop and become the adviser, much like a hyper pet that's comfortingly calm in the saddest moments.

During her work, however, Savahnna certainly knows how to keep herself in check. She has to know a range of personalities if she has to don a disguise, of course! And when talking to commanders or higher ranking officers (or with subordinates or the like) Savahnna knows how to act like she's been through some training. It's good to know that both as her usual self and her more serious personality, Savahnna is not more or less merciful. She does her job and does it unapologetically. As unfit as she may seem, Savahnna doesn't hesitate and she hasn't missed her mark in a long time. Business is business and if you're a target, you're out of luck. Like mentioned before, Savahnna likes to have fun, so don't be surprised when having to push through guards becomes a kill-count contest.

Okay, judgment time! :)

revlis - Whoops, this part is completely my fault, I had this written down but I wasn't sure whether or not it would be all that relevant.... Anyway, if you could change the age part as months/days are labelled differently on Gaon (seeing as Greek Mythos/Christianity/etc never existed in this universe) compared to our own. There are seven terms (one term = one month) and terms can range from 25-35 days. Each term is referred to as First Term, Second Term, Third Term, etc. Years and days are the same, except that a Gaon year equals 221 days and days are usually referred to as Day One, Day Two, Day Three, etc. i.e. I was born on Day Five of the Fourth Term in year 888AE. Sooo, let's get to your actual Sign Up, shall we?

Bishop looks awesome, although I don't know what he's thinking with those two-dyed stripes... Haha. Something I noticed about Bishop, is that he seems really... good, which is fine! But it looks as if there isn't any negative personality traits or flaws. Everything he does basically benefits others or is still mostly good in a sense, i.e like when he negatively judges others, he's still really nice to them. What makes him angry? Does he ever get selfish? Is he perhaps too secretive or is he sneaky sometimes? Impulsive? Impolite? Don't feel like you need to answer all of these questions, but I would love to learn more about that side of him.

Loved your RP Sample + Achievements. Good Work! Also, for the future reference a field medic is mainly called a combat medic, but that's really a minute detail. Alright, getting to the point, I'm going to put you on pending status until you make that quick fix on his personality and birthdate.

SV - I like the fact that Adrian has a beard, we need more bearded people in roleplays. Though, we should probably fetch him some better clothes. One thing, I loved is that you really got into the technological advancements of this roleplay! The whole sniper thing is excellent as well as the gear, definitely on the same wavelength about the technological aspects. Aw, the RP Sample was good, but heartbreaking! Poor Adrian... He'll be a great addition to the RP. With that, I'm marking you as Accepted! Though, there is one thing, you mentioned "colonel" in your RP Sampke, I'm guessing that's a ranking in the military...? Unfortunately, that's not correct, but since I didn't give you military rankings it's my fault and speaking of rankings, Adrian should have one. I've listed the military rankings below, feel free to pick one.

Aques Keus - Alright, is there a reasoning to why Check wears a full-head mask? If Google Images did me any justice, it seems like it certainly wouldn't be the best thing to wear when you're fighting in a war zone and also would obscure breathing and sight... Perhaps there's some sort of technological advancement to it? Personality and RP Sample are good, an enjoyable read. Now, for Check's Achievement, they are a bit too good. His squad is extremely successful for a country that's losing the war... He somehow managed to single-handedly tracked down an enemy, went into their base unnoticed, killed all of them without being injured, AND set their camp on fire? Do you see what I mean? It's a tad bit unbelievable that he got through all of that unscathed or at all. Right now, you're pending. Change up the achievement section and then either a) nix the mask or b) fix up the details. While you're editing, give Check one of the ranking below.

Yamagi Sosuke - Ulric! He should wear those rugged flannels every day, but that's just my opinion, ahaha! I'm liking his personality, I think he'll definitely be an interesting character, especially his interactions with others. Liked the RP Sample, it was interesting and made me curious about Ulric. I can't wait to see him explored. In other words, you're Accepted! But like I told SV, Ulric should have a ranking, which I've listed below.

The Final Watchman - "Quite attractive" Pffft, he looks very attractive! "his eyes are at the ready to absorb any bit of knowledge presented to him" His eyes, eh? Avery's personality is great, we need a talkative person as it seems everyone so far is sort of standish or not the most engaging. Drinking before a meeting? Perfect. Also, I really like your achievement, solving a toxin? Awesome! Anyway, you're Accepted.

Skymin and Kiklion, if you two need any help with your Sign-Ups, don't be afraid to ask. I'm here and willing.

Thanks for the SUs, guys! They've really helped me see that I forgot to mention a few things that are indeed helpful for you, as roleplayers, to know. I wouldn't make your character anything lower than a Patrolman and nothing higher than a Staff Trooper. If you're in the Special Forces then you're automatically a Serviceman.

... Haha, don't know if you saw that or not? Anyway, if you could change it to him being a Serviceman and then just delete the sentences about him being a Proxyman that would be great. Thanks for taking the time to change your achievement section, now it's more believable. I'm loving that you went into detail as well, definitely wasn't too much! :)

I'm working on the IC now and I should be posting it relatively soon. I don't want to put an exact number of days on it but it's guaranteed to be less than a week. Plus, I want to give Skymin and Kiklion a bit of time to work on their SUs. I'll definitely keep you guys informed.

I tweaked my achievements to reflect my promotions and final rank. Hopefully I did it right. And thanks, he was really fun and easy to make.

Alright, IC is up! It's been a week, so I've gone ahead and posted first the IC post. I suggest you read the entire IC post before reading this as it'll make more sense that way.

First Post Objective: Have your character arrive in Summer Grove and the Zandro Center. Feel free to bunny Shelley, she's bubbly, talkative, and, of course, she knows a thing or two about your character that they might not think she does. Your character isn't allowed to have anything but their clothes, Shelley will take everything else. Once your character wakes up they'll be in what seems like the same room that they were previously in, they can have brief memories of bright lights, dark silhouettes, and voices if you want. If they look outside they'll notice that the city isn't Summer Grove, its buildings, transportation, and livelihood are all completely different, there's more skyscrapers, activity, and overall it's more advanced-looking. They can either follow Claire's lead out onto the streets or remain in the building when they witness the scene, up to you. Your character does have magic now, so feel free to have them briefly see a body part glow whatever color is assigned to their role. However, they only have access to the the bare minimum, which is listed in the "Basic" line in each of the spoilers and since they know absolutely nothing about it they will barely know how to use it, don't go overboard. Though, not many people have a reason to use their magic in the first post, so you can always save that reveal for a subsequent post!

PS - I thought it would be fun to have a little contest with some of my posts. I kind of like to reference pop culture/media/current events/other roleplays in my posts. So, whoever can point out the most references has a chance to affect the roleplay in some manner. Either by choosing how I go about a post, making a NPC that will be featured, deciding a certain plot point, etc. It'll be something small for now. It's just for fun and completely voluntarily, there's no positive/negative for your character! In order to do this, you must PM me the references all at once and what it is referencing to, preferably in list format. This is an individual challenge and only one person can win. The deadline will be a week from the time the post was posted.

In my first post (in its entirety) there are a total of six references, happy hunting~

Also, for a helpful note for the sidebars in my posts, Green = GM posts, Yellow = Claire posts, Red = Misc. also known as one shots/short teaser stories/definitely not crucial to read posts. If you want me to make you one of the circular pictures for your post, just provide me with a picture link and I can do it.
