    • Alrighty, so, before I start, I'd like to have this thread be exempt from the one month bumping rule, as in, until it's filled with many, many pages, you're allowed to bump it up at anytime. :3

    Anyways, a video game topic about OSTs, or if you prefer, you can simply refer this topic as a topic all about video game music. So, what are your favourite pieces of music or soundtracks from video games, and why? Is a specific game where it has all, or most of your favourite tracks? How do these tracks enhance your video game playing experience? What are your least favourite tracks, and what don't you like about them?

    Feel free to list all your favorite / non-favorite tracks here, and feel free to list your favourites from a video game series!

    For example, some of my absolute favourite video game musics come from the Golden Sun series. They are addicting to listen to, and the tunes are just... amazing for the GBA. Another series that have amazing tracks in my opinion are the ones from Fire Emblem, since they can range from mystic, to suspenseful, to just silly, which I find are refreshing! Finally, I'm going to mention the music tracks from the Phoenix Wright series, because they are always amazing to listen to as well.

    Most of my fave video game music comes from RTS games. Tiberian Sun imo has one of the best soundtracks i've ever heard, while the StarCraft series had some grear sountracks aswell.
    Other than those, Borderlands 2 also had soothing music for every place which is pretty awesome to hear.

    This thread pops up like every month lol. Does anyone even listen to other's lists unless it was a game they know? Honest question. I know I don't. (Mainly because I prefer listening to the music from playing a game first.)

    One of the best game of the year and the soundtrack of the year imo. Damn surprised me, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like Zelda much.

    And you listed Spirit Tracks but you don't think its final boss music is the best in the series? I personally think it is. Soooo good. (Honorable mention to Phantom Hourglass but only because it's the remix of my favorite character's theme in the series.)

    Actually speaking of Skyward Sword the Koloktos theme is my favorite in the game. (Also my favorite boss. Damn)

    I haven't played LBW to actually get accustomed to the OST, so listening to it without a direct correlation as to how it fits in the game makes it irrelevant to me at this moment. I mean I heard the songs, but without a game to connect them to, I can't revere them as a whole. As for the Malludus theme, eh I was indifferent to it. Great composition, but the repetitive middle and use of the OW theme didn't jive well with me.
    Gonna agree with Koloktos, for sure. That whole section was amazing, especially towards the end. It was just a quick list mind you, off the top of my head with no real thought. If there was it would be a lot longer. And if you're interested, the final swordfight of TP is my 2nd favorite final boss theme, followed by Majora's Wrath.

    Metal Gear Rising has OST of 2013 in the god damn bag. The OST made the game.

    Stains of Time was so hype, especially when the lyrics kicked in.

    I oh so agree with Stains of Time, its the first song i heard while playing the game at a friends house and it overwhelmed me. The boss was a pain to deal with aswell, but the song made up for the rage XD

    Rules of Nature is just plain badass ^^

    Monsoon is actually pretty easy once you know how to parry, since he's the wake up call in the game design to make sure you learn the technique since it's required afterwards. I knew how to parry by the time the demo was released though, from all the time I played it lol. He was the first boss (demo aside) I fought too, since my bro gave me the controller to beat him before I started my playthrough, so Stains of Time stuck with me particularly.

    We're derailing the thread though, one of us should make a thread for the game lol.

    Dang, you guys have LONG lists. I'm just gonnak eep it short and sweet with three of my favorite tracks.

    First is Lavendar Town in the original Pokemon Red game:


    Next is the Halo 3 opening:


    Lastly is Sonic's theme music in SSBB


    I also love most of the soundtracks in the Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger and FF games as well. RPG games seem to have the best music, specifically the older ones.
