Haruhi's one of those shows I watched because it was popular and...that was really it. I didn't love it, but I didn't dislike it either. It's one of those shows that I never really understood how it reached the heights of popularity that it did but I could understand why it was popular in general. It didn't feel like a chore to watch, but I never did go on to the Disappearance or season 2, since most of what I know of the show's fandom lies with season 1. That, and the 2 aforementioned didn't exist at the time.

Darkness is pretty cheap so it'd be a smart choice to have it run on that, but light interferes with it a lot. Maybe that's why it was so slow earlier.
