The Story
It's another Thanksgiving for the Smith family. Last year was very disappointing as everyone spent so much time dining on the side dishes nobody even touched the turkey. Mrs. Smtih mistook this as no one wanted to eat the turkey, little did she know the turkey had a diabolical plan and some magic spice to goad them into eating the side dishes. This year would be different! Mrs. Smith thought as she unbags the groceries to reveal some classic Thanksgiving side dish ingredients. There was one bag left unpacked, whatever was in it was really stretching the bag to it's limit. When Mrs. Smith finally came around to unveil this monstrosity, what was in it was, while not as traditional as a butterball turkey, was a fat ham. To her it looked normal, but the other ingredients looked on in horror as they saw a sinister aura surrounded the piece of meat. The ham was not unprepared, due to Mrs. Smith's laziness to prepare her meats. Within its arsenal was a special honey glaze who's aroma was powerful enough to influence one's decision in what to eat.
Would this Thanksgiving allow for some Side dishes to join the Leftover Squad, or will the dreadful entree employ trickery to claim a spot on there. We shall see when the feast begins!
The Game
If you're new to Mafia, please read this to get a grasp of the game. If you're not new, skip this because you've probably read these too many times. Mafia is a game where the two factions, plus some independent third parties, are at odds with each other. The Innocents need to seek out the mafia and other hostile third parties in order to win. The Mafia needs to stay in the shadows and take out the Innocents until they outnumber them, they are able to talk to each other as a group, as a opposed to other roles. Third-parties have their own win conditions, usually explained in their role. There are two phases in Mafia. The Day phase, all the players who are alive will be allowed to discuss and lynch one player for that day to try and find the mafia scum, or in the mafia's case attempt to sway a vote on an innocent. The player with most votes will be killed and then the game will move on to the Night phase. The Night phase, which will start the game, is a phase where players cannot post in the thread and will be able to submit their role's night actions to the GM. The mafia also submits one kill during this phase. Days will last 48 hours and Nights will last 24 hours or when all Night Actions are submitted. Times are subject to change to be longer in the event of my own real world complications.
NOTE:
One special rule, all roles (with the exception of Pumpkin Pie) have the survivor win condition on top of their team win condition. So if you die, you will not win if your team wins, after all you can't be on the Leftover Squad if you've been eaten.
Roles
The Side Dishes:
The town in this game. Wins once the ham menace has been eliminated and if they are still alive.
Greenbean Casserole: Granny Smith's special recipe, that seems to make people think twice on tasting it. Each night Greenbean Casserole smother another food and prevent that dish from being affected from night kills. They cannot protect themselves but can protect a dish as many times as they want.
Cranberry Sauce: A classic jelly for the Holiday. This one has a unique property though, it can visit another dish and leave a bit of itself on it. This bit will disappear if applied to another food. If Cranberry Sauce is eaten the last dish they visited will have their role publicly revealed.
Corn on the Cob: Each kernel is an eye to Corn on the Cob, and those eyes can see through one's true identity. At night Corn on the Cob can investigate a dish to determine whether the soul in a food is sinister or not.
Brussels Sprouts: They're not evil and don't taste bad, they're just misunderstood. Even Corn of the Cob cannot tell the difference between Brussel Sprouts and the Ham.
Candied Yams: Candied Yams are so sweet nobody wants to see them get devoured. If they do get devoured voting will be disabled next day phase as the dishes will be too busy holding a vigil in their honor.
Mashed Potatoes: Mashed Potatoes longs to be have a gravy. Once during the feast they can select a player to ask them to be their gravy. If they choose to accept they both will be revealed, the gravy will lose their current role however. Mashed Potatoes or Gravy will not die if the other will be perished, as people tend to use some of the leftover gravy for other food and the potatoes could still go without gravy.
Bread Roll: Distributes a piece of itself each night to two players. Once Bread Roll has been eaten it will trigger a countdown of 3 Days/Nights. Any player after that time who does not have a piece will be devoured mercilessly.
Wine: If eaten due to any method other than lynching the Smith family will be too drunk and merry to eat anything. Night actions can still be executed but there will be no mafia kill.
Everything Else: Vanilla town. These will be given a name to each individual player but it's just a townie.
The Villainous Ham:
The mafia of the game. Wins when they have the majority over the town (not including the Deserts) and if they're alive to be in the Leftovers Squad.
Center Cut: The central portion of the Ham. The Shank and Butt Ends block the view of Corn on of the Cob so he can only assume the best of him. Basically the leader of the mafia and decides tiebreakers (if they ever happen) for night kills.
Shank End: The part of the ham closest to the feet of the pig. This one takes its name literally and starts with a single knife at the start of the game and can use it at any point. Anyone food stabbed with the knife will be eaten the next Day/Night phase. They will be notified of their demise, and the Greenbean Casserole can patch them up if they visit, so it should be used with caution.
Butt End: The part of the ham closest to the butt of the pig, and dang is it fine. Each night the Butt End can use its allure to distract another dish for the night. Said dish will not be able to use any special night ability they have.
Ham Bone: Cannot be eaten until the rest of the ham is eaten. Acts as a vanilla goon otherwise.
Desserts:
Extra dishes best saved for last. They hold no true allegiances and are here to make the game interesting. Both have separate win conditions.
Pumpkin Pie: The most well known of Thanksgiving deserts and it's very aware of this. This dish actually wants to be eaten and not become a member of the Leftovers Squad, however his own distinct spice makes him immune to the nightly aroma of the ham, so he must be offered as a sacrifice to the humans by way of a lynch. Wins if they are lynched. Also votes from Pumpkin Pie don't count towards lynches.
Apple Brown Betty: Visits a player or self at night and is granted a random effect. Investigations will be publicly revealed. Wins with both mafia and town and will not count as a town in the mafia's win condition.

*The Smiths are very hungry and will NOT tolerate Abstaining.
*Lynches will be determined by who has the most votes as opposed to majority vote. Ties will be decided by coin flip.
